Q1227 Restaurant Roseville Reviews
Drove up from the bay to celebrate a birthday.
The food was really good. We got the fried chicken, Short ribs, cheesy bread. couple of salads, bottle of champagne, and red wine and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was yummy. We did not get to try the hot sauce for the chicken but was good without it. Wish the birthday celebration was a little better since we drove a bit to get there, but overall everything was nice and atmosphere was welcoming.

My wife and I have been wanting to try Q1227 for a while and we finally had brunch. Let me tell you the vibe instantly was very welcoming. Isabella greeted us very warmly and seated us. Dan our waiter was exceptional. He was very informative about the menu, very warm and cordial. The Chicken and Waffles I had was different from other place that just smear syrup on it. It was a very well thought out savory dish with a touch of sweetness. The Crabcake Benedict my wife had was all crab with very little fillers and a lot of good flavors. their potatoes are perfectly seasoned. We also had the good fortune to meet Isaiah the Manager, He was so enthusiastic about FOOD and a wonderful host. It was a pleasure to have talked to him about the restaurant. It was a very comfortable and a relaxing atmosphere and it felt very welcoming. I can't explain it, but you almost felt like somebodies Grandma was approving these recipes! Thank you!
I will be back.
Food was amazing 10/10. Only complaint I have is I wish they gave me a larger portion of grit because they were so good. Didn't have a reservation and called 15 minutes before arrival on an early Saturday evening and they got me right in and seated. Main entrΓ©e took about 30 minutes but was more than worth the wait. We had the lobster bites to hold us over which came out within 5-10 minutes after ordering. They had live jazz music playing in the background that set a great vibe. Highly recommend.

My bestie brought me here for my birthday dinner, she's been here before and she was raving about it so she wanted me to try it. We came on Monday 9/8 around 6 PM and it wasn't too busy the gentleman that sat us was also the manager he was very friendly . The ambience in the restaurant was very nice. Appetizers we ordered the fried lobster bite, which had good flavor and good texture, but it was too salty and I love savory salty foods, but that was just too much salt for me. Also got the pull apart sourdough bread and that was delicious! Now for the dinner, everything on the menu looked pretty good, I saw my friend eyeing the seafood tower picture on the menu and it did look really good so we ordered that to share. The presentation of the seafood tower was gorgeous. It came with lobster, Dungeness crab, snow crab, scallop, shrimp, clams, mussels, crawfish, octopus, andouille, sausage, corn and potatoes, pretty much the whole ocean! The flavor was decent, nothing to rave about, I wish they had an option of like a seafood boil type of sauce to dip the seafood in, not just plain butter or maybe like Cajun butter. The snow crab to me seemed like it was fried and there wasn't very much meat inside of it, some parts were hollow, I did not like the octopus, It was very tough a over cooked the clams and the mussels were on the smaller side and they did forget our sausage but they ended up bringing it out so if you order a tower, make sure you account for all the items that's supposed to come on there. I feel like for the price that we paid I would hope the seafood items would be on the meatier side and not on the smaller end. Now as for the potatoes there was so many potatoes! I believe on the menu it says the whole platter is 3 1/2 pounds. I feel like at 1 1/2 pounds of it was just the potatoes like that many potatoes is not necessary. We did enjoy the meal, but it was nothing to rave about. As for dessert we had a brownie sundae to share which was delicious. I may return to this menu to try other items on the menu, but I would not get what we had on this visit again. The server and the person assisting him were on top of it. Our drinks were always filled, the table was cleaned. Everybody was very friendly. The manager did check on us.
We dined at Q1227 on a busy Friday evening.
The dining room and patio were both full, but we were seated quickly inside. The atmosphere was lively but it was really loud in there, which made it hard to have easy conversation. It didn't interrupt our meal, but it did make things a bit less comfortable. As for service, it started out strong but slowed down after we were seated. That said, the food however was great. The short rib was tender and flavorful, while the tomahawk pork chop was nicely cooked and paired with a bourbon maple glaze and baked apple that added a nice touch of sweetness. For dessert, we ordered the monkey bread that was soft, buttery & worth ordering at least once. Overall, the food was good but hopefully our experience will be better next time.
So here's what I'll say about this place.
It's decent. The food taste fine. I think it's definitely presents to fancier than what it is. And then they just added 18% gratuity. To all of the bills. So without informing you before hand that they're doing it. Which is completely rude. And it wasn't posted any anywhere.
Very good food and service by Desere.
..Great live music. Had the yummy scallops! Very good! My husband had the fried chicken, so good, the hot sauce was amazing!

Ok. I told you about local Chef Q at Q1227 a couple of weeks ago. So here I am again asking--why haven't you been there yet? As they've settled into their new location, they are really hitting their stride. The food is fantastic, the service attentive and genuine, and you can feel the attention to detail in every part of the experience. It actually reminds me of my favorite episode of The Bear--"Forks." For a truly great dining experience, everything has to come together: food, service, atmosphere, care. And you can tell they are working hard to make that happen at Q1227. Frankly, it's inspiring. #SacramentoEats #Foodie #SupportLocal #RestaurantReview #CustomerExperience #TheBear #Forks #LeadershipInspiration

My first time going to this restaurant ended being such a great experience. The food was phenomenal and the service was top notch. The atmosphere was also perfect for date night. The only con I have was I wasn't a fan of the peach cobbler this night, as a lot of the ice cream was already melted when it was served. However, the main courses were amazing! Especially the garlic cheese loaf. We also tried the shrimp and grits and fried chicken. Can't wait to go back!

The service is friendly and warm, the food is amazing, the ambiance is elegant. I enjoyed the soprano saxophone player Cheff Q stopped by our table to say happy birthday and he was very present to all his guests.
