A gem in the heart of Chinatown!
A gem in the heart of Chinatown/Telok Ayer. Restaurant is housed inside The Clan Hotel, a boutique hotel with a class. Restaurant currently serving 5/6 course set lunch but will start ala carte menu soon. The set lunch was fantastic with a fusion touch. All dishes were nicely tastefully plated and comes with great taste and quality! All done by an Australian chef. Lovely menu!

Accurate service and westernized dishes but made with care. Modern and nice location in line with this hotel, with a beautiful terrace on the fourth floor and a swimming pool on the thirtieth.
Be the first to ReplyInteresting interpretation of fusion and local cuisine
We ordered the set for two, and paid an extra $30 for the beef rib main course. Everything was beautifully done - see the pics. The chef is clearly versed with mixing and enhancing local flavours. It was an absolutely delightful experience. If they could improve, it would be to portion out the servings of the prawn noodles (it was challenging for us to split it) AND the dessert (looked messy when we split ourselves). Probably would wait for them to change the set menu items before I return. Note that though the lift says the restaurant is on level five, you need to go to level four if you intend to eat. (Their comms could be better!)

Plush orientalism extends to Qin Restaurant where you get birds eye view of Telok Ayer and surrounds. Happy hour cocktails are 1-1 so plant yourself there from 5-8 PM. Some of the cocktails are named after the zodiac animals - dog, tiger, dragon and befittingly Tiger for the Tiger year. Thereโs hint of durian in the potent concoctions. #eatstylishtravelstylish

We were staying at The Clan Hotel for 4 nights and had our daily breakfast at the QIN Restaurant. At the first impression, the restaurant looks amazing. It is located on the fourth floor and oversees Telok Ayer Street with its floor to ceiling windows. The food was delicious. Though breakfast options were limited, which I believe is due to COVID, the sets varies from continental to Asian. Do keep a lookout for the daily chef special! On our last day, we had the Mee Siam and it was truly splendid. Service provided was excellent. Every staff were friendly and welcoming, accommodating to our every request. Shoutout to Angelo and Constance for making our breakfast experience that more memorable and special.

Was having breakfast at Qun as we stayed at The Clan. Breakfast was limited set and only available for 1 set per person. Only free flow is the hot beverages and juices. Once seated coffee and tea being offered however it was not served for 20 mins until another server approaches us for the beverages. We were served with toast and mini fruit bowl. Found a small hair on the kaya jam. Which disappoint me and feel disgust and already half full. We ordered a chefs daily special and local porridge. Daily special was prawn noodle which taste good. Congee was normal, and disappointed with soggy silver anchovies. Additional pancake being served by the managers or supervisor. Ambience and view was great.
