Nice setting, fantastic service
Visited Racines as a group of 4 to celebrate a family member's birthday. Our server, Rey, delivered impeccable service. He was attentive and engaging, with great attention to detail. We did not expect it, but the restaurant also generously arranged for a small birthday cake to be sent to our table. Fabulous experience!

Enjoyed the ambience, and the perfect seat in one corner of the restaurant that allowed us privacy. The people who made it happen are the wonderful folks of Racines with our appreciation for Wenz and Paul for always going out of their way to make the dining experience memorable. They are always attentive and from time to time would check in to ensure we are enjoying our time there. Particularly enjoy their mix of dishes, namely the fried cod, and sea bass topped with a signature tangy sauce! Racines is one of our favorite dining places in Singapore and we will be back again.

Amazing hospitality and ambience. I've been going to Racines since last October and almost always to celebrate a special occasion. Food wise is French / Asian on weekdays, whereas on weekends, you get a good international buffet spread. Love the space, vibes, service and of course, the food & drinks. Thanks Wenz and Rey for being every so welcoming!

Celebrated a cousin's birthday with the local food buffet lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was quiet and was very nice for conversations. There was a good variety of dishes for the buffet, and the quality was good value for the price we paid (there was a 50% off discount with Accor Plus membership). What stood out for me was the impeccable service by Went and Paul. Used plates were cleared very promptly, and there was close attention paid to all guests to make sure everyone was comfortable, without being overly intrusive. They also asked if we were celebrating any occasion and prepared a small plate of desserts for the birthday celebration - they sing really well too! Overall an enjoyable experience and I will recommend it.

I was here January and beginning of February and was totally impressed with the dishes. Unfortunately, this time round the fish portion shrank to a third of the size of my previous 2 visits. On top of that, the fish aas not fresh at all. When we brought it to the attention of service staff, we were told that the supplier changed. To us it was not a valid reason for serving sub-quality food (not befitting of a 5* hotel). The service staff gave us additional portion but the fish just was not fresh. I hope the management address this. I do love the rest of the food - the laksa and satay are staples in my orders always.

Whenever we are at Racines, weāre always greeted by the friendly staff and they never fails to impress us with their hospitality. This time, during our CNY gathering, we were greeted by Louis, who is ever friendly and polite. Tossed the Yusheng with his auspicious Lohei words - extremely impressed by that service from him! Kudos to Ibrahim and Wenz who are constantly checking on us. Special thanks to the Chefs behind the scenes (Chef Andrew, Chef Neville and Chek YK) for their yummy food and great service! Amazing team over at Racines!

It was a lovely evening at the Racines where we enjoyed delicious food that was complemented with attentive service by Wenz, Steven and Yi Tong. We ordered 3 mains- Black Cod, Presa Iberica (slow cooked Iberico Shoulder) and Crab Fried rice and ended the meal with a delightful dessert of Dark Chocolate fondant with Tahitian Vanilla Ice cream (Moelleux). This restaurant is our go-to when we are in the city after a dayās work to celebrate the end of a fulfilling day. We will be back soon!

As someone who takes pleasure in observing interior design and ambience of the place, I'd say Sofitel has one of the most beautiful dining places in Singapore. I like the floor to ceiling glass windows which allow natural light to pass though, giving a more relaxing ambience to the place. The table are well spaced from each other and didn't feel crowded. Though the lunch menu on a Saturday is a bit limited to my liking, their food didn't disappoint when it comes to the generosity of servings and taste. I ordered the Iberica Presa which is a slow-cooked pork shoulder blade topped with lemon avocado sauce and my friends had Streak Frites. Those were very filling so you might consider sharing if you're going with a group who don't have big appetite. Our group enjoyed 'meat' so even without the pasta that I was craving for, I'm still satisfied overall. On top of any of these, their staff (James, Art, Wenz and John) were very friendly and attentive to our needs. As someone who used to work in F&B, quality of service is something I highly observe when visiting hotels. Racines is definitely a must try in Singapore CBD!

Amazing selection of both Western and local food, especially when it comes to the desserts! The staff is super attentive, especially the restaurant manager. Great coffee too. This was definitely one of the best hotel buffets Iāve experienced!

While I was in town a few days ago, some of my friends and I stayed at the Sofitel Tanjung Pagar Hotel. During the time that I spent in the location that was both really nice and satisfying, a member of the hotel staff MR ART assisted us my companions and me by providing information regarding the meals that were being served. This not only assisted us in comprehending the meals, but also assisted us in utilising the meals in a manner that enhanced our enjoyment of them. We really enjoyed our time when we are in the hotel the reason is that the employee's hotel are so friendly and polite to us, both the food and the service were quite enjoyable, and we did not find them to be impolite despite the fact that they did not behave in an impolite manner. There is no doubt in my mind that I will return back to this location again for the hotel and the MR ART.

Excellent service, food and ambience. All staff were highly professional, most friendly and welcoming, especially Louis, Wen, Art, Iām on April April, next month, we just made and Dominic. The menu provided for a broad array of dining preferences, with the breakfast hot food array somewhat changing daily, and the food was delicious and well presented. There was no request too great for the staff to oblige. I will be recommending this venue to all my family and friends. The Racines brand imprint is extremely positive.

Racines at Sofitel Singapore City Center is my favorite restaurant in the whole of Singapore! The best value for money, the food specially on Sundays brunch has superb quality and variety. The ambience is perfect, the tables are wide apart and you wont feel that its busy though its well patronised. The best aspect of this restaurant is its people, its staff. From their manager Mr. John, assistant manager Mr. Steven, to their employees Wenz, April Atirban and Michelle, all are very friendly and very attentive not only to our needs but to other customers' as well. I have been watching them how they interact w other guests . They make it appoint thar their customers will feel that they are important. It made the whole experience of dining in this restaurant special. I have brought maybe 6 diferent groups of friends here and all were happy with their experience. Thank you friends at Racines! More power

Due to the fact that I have been here before, I am familiar with this location. Throughout the period of my stay, I had the opportunity to discover that the facilities as well as the services provided here are of a very high standard and quality. As soon as I had finished my tour of the hotel, I made my way to the area where the food was stationed. I questioned about the dishes and how they tasted to a man whose name was ART since I was doubtful about the foods and how they were prepared before I went there. When I went there, I realised that there were many different foods. When I asked him about the meal, he detailed the meals, their contents, the compounds that were contained within the foods, and the taste of the foods as well. He also described the substances that were contained within the foods. I asked him about the meal. Because of the services that he provided, I was left feeling extremely content as well as fairly impressed at the same time. The given food was quite clean and hygienic for consumption at the same time. The service that the hotel provided to us, particularly with regard to the cuisine, left my customers feeling extremely satisfied and satisfied overall. Both the front desk employees and the management team at the hotel gave a level of service that met my expectations, and I am grateful for that. This is a place that comes highly recommended by me, and selecting it as your destination would be the more prudent choice. If it were up to me, I'd give it a perfect score of ten out of ten. If I was presented with the possibility of going back to this area again, it is my most genuine wish that I would take advantage of that option.

Reservations were made for 7 of us. It's our 1st time here, and I must say that we were pleased to have made the decision to come ..... our previous celebratory dinners had been at The Cliff, Prego, Winstone. Dinner tonite was a extremely pleasant cos of the ambience & setting in the heart of Tanjong Pagar .... and of course our meal. The lobster bisque, the burratine were a hit with us for the starters ..... as was the grilled spanish octopus leg, barrumundi, spelt risotto ( exceptionally good ), char grilled black angus cube roll were wonderful ..... altho we felt that the angus beef rib-eye lacked girth and was rarer than the medium rare that was expected. For sides we ordered the brocolli and french fries.
The consensus was that we enjoyed our birthday dinner immensely tonite, and we plan to return here again ........and it's highly recommended to anyone to try this place out.
Okay Lunch
The Hokkaido scallop amuse bouche was pretty good. The lobster bisque was ordinary, while the ginseng chicken was tasty.
The wagyu beef was soft but not fork tender, which was good as it was had bite and was not overly mushy. The truffled mash was tasty but the seasonal vegetable (artichoke) tasted a little odd. Or, at least, I have not tasted artichoke this way before.
Dessert of chocolate tart and Vanilla ice cream was okay, as was the service. The views were pretty good.
Terrible dining experience
We went to the restaurant to celebrate a family birthday. The experience was terrible. The restaurant is in a hotel that serving quarantine guests. I think the staff probably forgot how to serve normal guests. The staffs were simply reacting to guests. Many times we had to reach out to ask for things (e.g. can we get a drink, did you get our food, can you bring the bread). The staff did not even explain the menu. They also served cups still with lipsticks, twice! I cannot understand how this restaurant serves in a five star hotel.
