Affordable but blah
Clean, basic room. Deluxe room very small. I had to upgrade. Pretty roof with lovely pool. Besides the pool, I would not recommend. Food terrible. Service mediocre (to downright bad on the pool deck). Front desk situation a disaster.

Stayed here with friends for a short 4 day stay & was not disappointed . Rooms were very well appointed & had everything you would need in a hotel room .Staff were very friendly and welcoming . Highlight was the rooftop pool & bar with some amazing views of Singapore . Only negative was that on check out the express kiosks were broke so it was slow check out because of amount of people trying to leave that day . All in all would highly recommend & would stay here again

We booked the Jen Orchardway four months ago and arrived on the 10th March 23. We booked a panoramic Room based on reviews but mostly on description and photographs of the rooms and pool area. What a disappointment. Here is what they do not tell you. The hotel is located on the tenth floor of the building with the very basic entrance on the ground floor where looking confused you are directed by T shirt and jean clad staff direct you to the 10th floor. We had a bit of luggage but no offer was made (or asked) to assist. We made it to the 10th floor where at reception we were once again greeted by staff in jeans and green T shirts. (Very Casual) We were given keys to our Panoramic Room on the 13th Floor and no further assistance with our bags. Arrived at our room and almost cried on entry. Where was the Panoramic view, the only thing to be seen was the huge office window right opposite the main window and even worse on the other side was the recreation area for the office next door with people looking directly into your room and worse directly into our bathroom!!!. Both my wife and I were just gob-smacked. There was no panorama as advertised and it was just like being gold fish bowl. There was a tiny view over a park but mostly over the top of buildings. We immediately went back to reception fully believing a mistake had been made in our room that we had been given. The young lady stated we were indeed in a panoramic view room and it was the orientation of the room that was the issue. She then advised us how to solve the issue - Close the blinds and there was no more she could do - At that point in time my blood pressure went from 0 to 100 in no seconds flat. I had to walk away I was so angry. We had paid a premium for what was supposed to be one of the best rooms in the hotel to be told to shut our blinds to stop the privacy intrusion in our "Panoramic Room" If we could have (and I tried) to get another suitable room in another hotel we would have left immediately. I even tried to bring our flight forward which was also sold out. It did get worse, but in short we were able to change to a 15th floor room with slighly better privacy but curtains still needed to be shut in certain rooms. We had lounge access but on the third night on entering the lounge it was absolutly full with no seating. We left a tad angry. The following night we did get a seat but what is described as "chilling area was so noisy one could not hear yourself. A nearby family with young children let them run rampart with no staff making any attempt to stop this. We left. Can someone explain why I am paying a premium price for a almost non existent service. There is more which I wont go into including crowding with a large conference at the hotel as well. A detailed email to head of Shagrila is heading there way. This is no more than a 3 star hotel with a nice rooftop pool. Thank you Jen Shangila for really taking the shine off our holiday. This was to be the diamond in the crown of our overseas trip, instead it turned into the jester in the court. Dont be fooled by the lovely photos, they are well done but angled to get the best and no way show a true reflection of what you may get. I have posted photos of what you may get in a panoramic room

This was our third time staying around Orchard Road and first time at Hotel Jen. Orchard is the perfect location with small children and this hotel was great value. We went for a Club Deluxe room on the 14th floor which was big enough for the extra bed we needed and through stunning floor to ceiling windows gave us views of the Orchard Christmas time hustle bustle. The room though not complete mod-con luxury was really clean and comfortable. Up on the 19th floor there is a rooftop infinity pool (deceptively long in length) that again offers great panoramic views of Singapore including the Marina area. The hotel is connected to Orchard Central and Orchard Gateway shopping & restaurants, walking distance to iON and Paragon malls and is also connected to Somerset MRT so really easy to get around Singapore from here. We would stay here again for sure. Highly recommended!

Well placed hotel next to a shopping mall. Reception on the 10th floor. Good gimic with robots coming to your room if you ordered room service. Only one bar which was on the roof top where the swimming pool was. OK if the weather was good. Breakfast plentiful and good quality. OK for a stopover.

The hotel is well situated on Orchard Rd, above a shopping centre and Somerset MRT station. However the main entrance can be hard to find because the taxi set down point does not have direct access to the hotel doorway and the hotel name is not evident .You are more likely to be dropped by the shopping centre entrance where a lift to the hotel is hidden behind a row of small sidewalk stores. Our Club Deluxe room was large and clean with a fantastic view straight down Orchard Rd. No coffee machine and only 2 tumblers, no wine glasses. The shower was good but the separate toilet had no ventilation or fan. We chose to have breakfast at Makan which had a very wide variety of food but which was very busy and crowded. The Club Lounge on the 19th floor offered nibbles and drinks for 2 hours in the evening. Red and white wine, spirits but no bubbles. The pool is spectacular but seemed to be so popular that it was very difficult to find a place to enjoy it. Our real issue was that when we booked in September we sent 4 emails to the hotel saying that we needed a room with a walk in shower. No response so we asked our travel company to clarify. They also had great difficulty in getting a response but eventually were able to get a confirmation. On arrival we found we had been allocated a room with a shower over the bath and could not be moved until the next day. Not good enough because that would have meant no shower at all. Eventually they found another room and offered late check out and some hotel credit which we did not use. On Monday evening as we checked out, I paid for a late checkout for a family member staying there soon (yes, you will have to pay for late checkout) and specifically asked for email confirmation. None has been forthcoming and I’m afraid experience has made us wary of their organisation and communication. I currently have no proof of the late check out beyond a credit card payment receipt. Overall the hotel feels more Ibis than Shangri La.

Recently stayed here for 4 nights in a Club King room. Room was clean and modern, beds were comfortable and water was stocked in the fridge daily. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is no separate bathroom. The shower opens into a powder room within the room, as does the toilet. This didn't bother us as we were travelling as a couple however I can see how it would be an issue for business travellers etc. The room was slightly on the smaller side, but relatively consistent with other Singapore accommodation we have used. The club lounge was fantastic. Staff were very attentive and breakfast was always fresh with a good range - we did eat in the main restaurant on one morning and there was a significantly larger range of food, however we enjoyed the peaceful environment of the club lounge. We also took advantage of Happy Hour prior to venturing out for dinner. The hotel is located conveniently above Orchardgateway shopping centre, and Orchard MRT station. The lifts open right into the shopping centre. We would consider staying here again due to the location.

Great location, elevators take you directly to the MRT subway station. Breakfast buffet is huge but overpriced at SD$90 for two if you do not prebook the breakfast-included room rate. The rooftop pool is very nice with great views but the food and service at the bar is marginal at best. No place really to enjoy a cocktail after a long day unless you go into the shopping center.

I love how close this place is to Orchard. Breakfast buffet is great and it’s amazing how the chef socializes with guests. Rooms are clean and I think you get what you pay for. I traveled here with family, but there was a business vibe to this place. Or perhaps that’s just it is in Singapore.

This hotel has a mid floor reception which means when a cab drops you at curb you wait in a queue to get a lift to hotel reception on L10. Lifts in this place are a real weakness. Up, down, it's ridiculous. Check-in is on L10 and it's incredibly slow - I booked Club room for two nights. Most frustrating was starting a room service meal order at 9.25pm but had to take a work call then came back to order at 9.32pm and was told we stop at 9.30pm, get something from the vending machine. The entire experience reminded me why I'm not a fan of ShangriLa brands. Don't stay here.

I realise that the accomodation in Singapore is expensive but this is is ridiculous! The prices compare to the Hilton in town but the facilities definitely do not! Rooms are 70’s beige, bathrooms are tiny and there is nowhere inside the hotel where you can have a drink indoors (unless you pay the extra for upstairs) . We were treated to a view of guests sitting in the pouring rain on towels! I have stayed in 1 star hotels in Africa with a better attitude and level of service to this. Meant to stay 2 nights checked out next morning. AVOID

I love this hotel. Located in the heart of Orchard area and had interconnection with the Mall, MRT, & Bus stop in opposite of the hotel gate. The room is clean and well designed. The rooftop pool was amazing with incredible view of Singapore. The food not certified as an halal food, but it’s not a problem, so for you who need to find a halal food, you might come to lots of food stand options in the Mall that right next to Hotel. Over all this hotel was great.

Great location with 3 Interconnecting malls,MRT & Bus stop located opposite. Breakfast spread by far the best out of so many hotels I’ve stayed in & it’s the 1st time that throughout my 4D3N there I still didn’t manage to try all the breakfast options & they oso change it everyday unlike others that we’ve stayed before where their breakfast spread wasn’t alot & they don’t even change it everyday. Can always see housekeeping around & rubbish placed outside the rooms are hence oso quickly removed & disposed👍& housekeeping is friendly as well as we asked for “Do Not Disturb” but they still make the effort to ask us if we need our room refreshed when they see us along the corridors. We will be back again soon

Fantastic central location with direct lift access to the MRT station and attached shopping centres both with excellent food courts for a delicious and well priced indoor meal. Orchard Road isn't especially charming but is within easy reach to a number of great Central Singapore spots via MRT. Rooms clean and reasonably sized. Rooftop bar and pool absolutely amazing - great cocktails and bar food and views for days. Breakfast buffet fresh with something for everyone.

+ very centrally located, close to mall + amazing roof top pool + very new + rooms new, clean but nothing special + well managed checkin/checkout - almost no veggi food option in the rooftop bar Tip for families: do not book regular 2 bed room with 2 kids. The single beds are really narrow (real single beds!)

It’s in the heart of Orchard Road being very accessible to food, transport and shopping. Hotel staff is tight but super clean. The staff here are superb and very professional. Also the breakfast spread is very sumptous making it adult and kid friendly 😍

Great location. Panoramic room was absolutely huge. Very helpful staff. Roof top pool great but has banging music . No where peaceful to sit out. The bamboo garden also has loud music. Superb breakfast with multiple cuisine options. Hash browns next to the bacon with same tongs. I pointed this out but nothing changed the following morning. Executive lounge very good with lovely canapes. Alcohol available 1730 1930. Soft drinks, coffee 24/7.

Went to 2nd hotel under Shangri la (1st is Shangri Rasa Resort at Sentosa) at around 1.30 pm, I went to first floor lobby next to shopping mall, then took lift up to level 10 where hotel lobby is located. As I have already received notification to collect room key after paying room charge + S$190 refundable deposit online before arrival, I went to self check in counter where I keyed in relevant data and scanned my Identity card, but photo ID failed as my current image is not the same as my photo in my Identify Card as it was taken years ago. I went to check in counter and queued . After a few minutes, I was given a keycard leading to top floor (level 20) Went to the club room, room is nice . After brief inspection, I went to explore Baywatch@Jen ( full of activity), pool bar is great, and pool is nice, there is ice cream storage , burger station, there is even a life guard , inspected the gym.. Nice and spacious. Then went to Club Lounge, tap keycard and then entered . Club Lounge was empty, no staff is manning the counter.. I explored the club lounge , till I saw the buffet station. I help myself at cookies , and coffee. later , guests entered the club lounge and have snack and drinks. After short meal, I went back to the room and watch TV, explored the channels, service provided in hotel, then do my own stuff . Check the in room dining menu- got asian cuisines, but western meal not impressive ( all burgers ) .if you want more, go to Lounge @ Jen or Baywatch @ Jen or Makan @ Jen. Went to swimming pool at 4pm, and had short swim, view the nice scenery from the pool. I decided to order dessert and cocktail, I scanned the menu. Nice menu- all burgers, finger snacks, cocktails, and beverages. I had specialty cocktail and brownie with ice cream. Then went back to room and bathe. and went to Club Lounge, this time got staffs manning the entrance , checking what room number .. Went to buffet station and scan around. mini buffet is good but no cocktails .. only wine, beer, spirits , You have to help yourself in opening wine bottles and pour.. Went back to room and do my stuff and then sleep.. Next morning, at 5am went to gym to do workout After bath, went to Club Lounge at 7 am No one manning the entrance , till I saw staff assisting in placing food items. She saw me , asking me for room number. Then do her own work.. I help myself to breakfast meal, till 1 and half hour later, went to room and packing things, then do my work via my laptop and smart phone. Checking out was effortless and fast Next stay will be Shangri-La at Orange Grove or Jen Tanglin

I stayed here for 3 weeks and I check out tomorrow. All I can say it's such a lovely hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and quite well equipped. Any requests we had for extra tea or small things were dealt with promptly and I really appreciated the prompt assistance with printing of the PCR tests and health declaration forms. Service was always prompt and warm and I cant think of anything to complain about. Appreciated the complimentary snacks that they send for longstay guests. Laundry service too was prompt. I think only the first time i didn't not know the laundry cutoff time so ended up receiving laundry a bit late but wasn't much of an issue for me. I was on a work trip and this was a nice home away from home. I couldnt make much use of the poolside since it was a work trip though I did have drinks there once. My mother stayed here for a few days and she was very comfortable. The location is fabulous. It has everything you need. Orchardgateway is Huuuuge and tons of eating and drinking spots as its many malls joined together. It like a maze. it has all you need and you wont need to venture far for anything Highly recommend this hotel for a holiday or business trip.

We were able to book a slot to swim at the rooftop swimming pool.
We had an enjoyable stay.
Didn't give it a 5-star rating as the phone in our room wasn't working and long wait for the lift to get to the mall and from the mall back to the hotel.

First off I want to give a big thank you to the GM and staff for making our stay at Hotel JEN Orchardgateway amazing! I never write reviews but given the excellent service and memorable experience I decided to write my first review.
Was on my way to Hong Kong from Canada but since all flights were banned, I had to wash out in SG for 14 days. Booked "long stay experience." I was concerned my stay in SG would be tiresome however due to my wonderful experience at Hotel JEN Orchard the stay went by in a flash.
A few things I would like to highlight about the hotel:
-Convenient location, right in the heart of Orchard Road where there is a ton of places to shop and eat. Connected to mall and MRT station.
-Excellent service and attention to detail from hotel staff. Some examples: pool staff remembered what my choice of drink was, concierge on the G/F always greeted us with a smile and had the elevator ready for us.
-Quality breakfast buffet. Had a good mix of Asian and western food and some dishes changed everyday
-Great infinity pool at the top floor with a spectacular view of SG
- Spacious and clean room
Overall, I highly recommend staying here and looking forward to coming back when I am in Singapore!
Good for shopping around orchard road
The hotel Jen Orchard Gateway is in a very good location, accessible to the shopping malls, MRT and in the middle of orchard road. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful.
Standard club room size is small and no frills. Good for 1 to 2 persons short stay and shopping. If a larger room is preferred for family stay, perhaps may consider the panorama club room.
Great experience in JEN Orchardgateway
We were long stay guests (total of 5 weeks) in this superb central location hotel in Singapore. Room could be bigger, but the convenience location made up for it. Hotel staff were very professional, polite and helpful. I would like to especially highlight the exceptional service provided by Ms Mavis Kiong in the breakfast restaurant. She goes above and beyond to make us feel like home! Superb service with a smile. We will be back.

Booked 2 nights for a staycay with our young children in a Deluxe King. Was offered an upgrade to the Club floor, however, the room was a little dusty (but had the most amazing room view + bathtub view). Feedback to the front office the next day and Vesta (FOM) rectified it with a room switch (available a few hours later - it was ok as we were headed to the pool + lunch).
The pools on level 19 were awesome - there are 3 pools (1 baby wading pool, 1 x 0.9m, 1 x 1.2m) which are children friendly and there are kids floats & life vests available for use.
Loved the daily buffet breakfast option - now you are able to see and choose the items you'd like and get served on the spot.
Shout out to the relatively young (looking) team, you can see they are trying their best to provide good service and are very earnest to assist!
A big thank you to Jasniyati who was present on both days during breakfast service - she was very attentive, warm & approachable, and genuine. She made my family feel very welcome and ensured my 2 young boys had enough food and drinks.
The only con was that the reservations team doesn't respond to emails, you'll need to call in directly for any special requests or enquiries.
