AV for Aro... Just a delicious dining experience. Definitely all the money be. Super friendly service with some funny stories and jokes.
Perfect food, perfect service, perfect wines and cozy surroundings
Every dish is an experience. It is creative but always focus on the good taste. The service is professional and friendly. The surroundings. Cozy. The food is also a visual delight and the wines chosen make the dishes even better.
Aro is worth a detour
Absolutely fantastic experience - fantastic food and so much flexibility that each of the 6 of us could order exactly from the menu as they wanted. Lovely wines at reasonable prices. The only complaint was that we frequently ran out of water and wine, but that's enough. The five stars are well deserved
Commitment, belief in the concept and cozy
Got the large menu with wines prepared Super service, lively, knowledgeable and not least committed Food from all parts of the spectrum Cod, pork and beef in a cheerful and imaginative set up by the chefs The young chefs at Aro know something The wine menu can clearly be recommended if you want to be challenged - and the wine matches the food excellently Next time, however, I will choose 5 dishes as 7 glasses of wine & welcome cremant in large glasses is a bit tiring everyday after that:) All good energy to the young team at ARO:)))
Good food and service but not Michelin level
Is a cozy room with 22 guests and 2 waiters. The service was great. We got a 7-course menu and chose wine from the wine list ourselves, despite a rather cheap wine menu at DKK 800. The wines were wonderful for the price. After a few hours you notice that the tables are very low and the chairs are not particularly comfortable either. The food was good but not at the level of other Michelin restaurants, and I can also name at least 5 restaurants on Funen that have a higher level. There was a lot of food. The dish with oxtail was, for example, as a main course, which is too much for a 7-course menu. Overall a lovely evening but the food was not quite at the expected Michelin level. 3 big stars and almost 4 stars due to a reasonable price compared to having a star. If a star had not been given and we had chosen 2 specific dishes from and more comfort, it would have been 4-5 stars.
Fantastic food experience, but far too stingy with the wines
We arrived at the restaurant and hung our coats on a coat rack. We walked in and after a few seconds we were welcomed and shown to our table. Cool authentic local! Shortly after we were asked if we wanted water with/without fizz. Our friends came and they were also asked for water. We were given a menu card and could choose between small Aro or large Aro + choose extra dishes, including cheese. We chose large Aro and replaced one of the desserts with cheese. We also ordered a wine menu - DKK 800 per person. We considered buying the same bottles instead. It would be DKK 4,000, DKK 800 more than the wine menu. We went with the wine menu anyway. The food was served on different plates, it looked visually good on the different servings and was nicely presented by one of the 2 waiters The food tasted really good, we were challenged on our sense of taste and had an eventful evening. But, there is often a but - they are simply too poor with the wine. We knew several of the wines, including the price of several of the bottles - and there was simply too little wine served - also in light of the relatively high price for the wine menu. We have been to many other restaurants and have chosen the wine menu for approx. the half where they have been significantly more liberal with the wine. Dear Aro, you must be able to do better!
Should it be tried again?
Nice dining experience. Nice 5 course menu with wine. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough wine for one of the five dishes, so they served two different wines for the same dish. π€a bit unprofessional in my opinion. I want to have a chat with one of the waiters and tell them not to ask "can you remember what I said earlier?" when he presented the same dish later, to the other guest at the table. You just tell them what the dish consists of, no matter how many times he has to do it during the evening. The selected wines were not 100% satisfactory for my menu. Despite 1 Michelin star.
Fine !
It was just good. Got "little Aro" with a wine and juice menu respectively. Good service, good intimate room with good acoustics. Not ARoS's fault, but the flashing from mobile phones was bothersome. Neighbor's thus 20-30 times.
A food expierence at very high level
A small gem in Odense, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere, but with top food and service. its a must visit if you are travelling to get some top dinning expiriences
