RH Rooftop Restaurant New York Reviews from The Last Year

Went here off a friends recommendation and honestly was not impressed. Overpriced brunch food. I'm think people go here for the ambiance and the decor. The highlight of our meal was the truffle fries. Salmon came ALONE not one side and small for such a big price tag. Under seasoned and overcooked. The lobster roll was a lobster roll. Nothing special

A vibe is a vibe is a vibe is a vibe lol Let's get into this ONE! Hands down one of the best brunches I have been too and yal know I'm a brunch girlie! Sissy and I went here in January for a cute sisters trip to NYC. I have been to other RHs but this one is superior to them all! Our waitress Aaliyah was amazing and super attentive! We had did have to wait about 20 mins to get seated though we had a reservation. I would recommend making a reservation about a month in advance especially if you want a weekend prime time slot. The interior of the restaurant did not disappoint and though there were many people it didn't feel crowded. We really enjoyed our food and our lemonades! This is the perfect place for lunch with friends, drinks with the girlies or just because ! Its location is perfect and has so many great shops near by you can walk to and from. Overall 10/10

A beautiful rooftop restaurant tucked into the heart of the Meatpacking District (and inside of a luxury furniture store) -- the ambiance was so nice and the waiters were really attentive. We stopped in for a dressed-up Palentine's dinner -- really fit the vibe of the whole evening, since you take the most gorgeous glass elevator to the roof where the restaurant is. The sharing plates were SO. GOOD. I'd highly recommend the Truffle Fries and Burrata for the table. The Pan-Seared Salmon was delicious, but portions definitely ran a bit small. The warm cookies and Vanilla Gelato was great, too. The meal was super relaxed and I enjoyed my time here -- would recommend for a fun occasion!
This is a great spot.
The atmosphere is very pretty, there are beautiful chandeliers hanging everywhere. The food is very good, and so is the service. I just came back a second time, with a group of 4, and everyone was happy. We ordered lobster rolls and truffle fries, salmon, and salads. Everyone enjoyed what they ate. Before you go, I recommend ordering a plate of hot chocolate chip cookies for the table and coffees. They have good coffee. (I was with 2 coffee snobs who are never happy with their lattes, or cappuccinos, and they were both satisfied). After we went floor by floor, through Restoration Hardware. My favorite floor to walk through is the lower level, where they have furniture for kids bedrooms. It is a real fantasy experience.
Lively and comfortable environment
A bustling environment with very helpful service. The menu is not very extensive but there is enough to choose from. Had a very good white wine from Oregon. One of our favorite restaurants

I visited RH rooftop with two friends and we were immediately impressed by the great vibe. We started off with a few appetizers; the artichoke was surprisingly very good. In addition, we ordered the shrimp cocktail and burrata, both of which did not disappoint. For our main courses, we chose the steak, chicken, and salmon. Each dish was relatively good, meeting our expectations. We also enjoyed two bottles of their more affordable version of Caymus wine, which was delicious. Although we initially wanted to try the burgundy that was unfortunately out of stock, the Caymus proved to be a fantastic substitute.
Came here during the week for dinner with a reservation.
Our waitress was very sweet and attentive! The one thing I enjoyed was you are able to order your appetizers and entrees separately & they didn't not rush you!! The ambiance is beautiful and I wouldn't expect anything less! 3 stars are purely for the food/menu. For the price, I think the entrees should come with a side and you shouldn't have to order the sides separately for the price you are already paying. I got the burger and truffle fries and they were VERY greasy. I understand it's a burger and fries, but I didn't expect that much grease. I definitely like the atmosphere, but not sure I'd go back for the food!
The food here is amazing.
I know they have a limited menu but it's literally a furniture store so no complaints from me. The interior is beautiful and offers a perfect background for a romantic date night or even just a quick bite to eat. The waiters offer amazing service and are very efficient and knowledgeable. I ordered the salmon (medium), with broccolini. Even though it was overcooked it was still really good. My husband ordered the burger (typical) but he seemed to really enjoy it. We also had a glass of Cabernet that was delicious but I can't remember the name of it. All in all, it was a great dining experience and I can't wait to go back to NY and do it again.
Everything we tried was surprisingly delicious! Recommend
Everything we tried was surprisingly delicious! Recommend the truffle fries, burger, beef sandwich and chocolate chip cookies.
Beautiful restaurant but the service was horrible and there
Beautiful restaurant but the service was horrible and there were not enough restrooms for the amount of tables. I missed half my meal because there was a server in the bathroom for over 15min. Did not have a good experience and will not be visiting again.
A Place to Treat all your Senses
This place has beautiful furniture and having a rooftop restaurant is just wonderful. I went solo because I wanted to take in the experience without the distraction of another person. Just me eating in peace.I had the salmon with the mashed potatoes and it was the best mashed potatoes I ever had. Staff was wonderful and this woman brings out the Peach Bellini that she made. It was fantastic. I went shopping and returned for my dessert. Latte with a warm salted chocolate chip cookie. Got the same waiter and he said he was going to personally make my Latte. The presentation and the taste was just so wonderful. So this will be my place to go when I just want to dine in peace with myself and take in the ambiance. Oh almost forgot to mention the fabulous water fountains throughout the tables is soothing. This place tingles all your senses.
Handsome Rooftop Environment.
In another life I restored older homes and one of my fav home furnishings purveyors was Restoration Hardware. Their stores were always precisely engineered with unique decorative items so when they opened the RH Guesthouse my expectations were high. The adults-only experience in NYC is garnished with 10 guest rooms, a rooftop garden with a dining terrace and 2 restaurants: The Dining Room and The Champagne & Caviar Bar. The Rooftop Garden is an elevated perk at the RH Guesthouse. Only guests have access to the rooftop pool and dinning garden. This stunning rooftop facility is bounded by a manicured treelined terrace with outdoor dinning . The 40-foot infinity pool is embraced by daybeds and multiple lounge areas which affords panoramic views of Big Apple landmarks. Unfortunately, seasonality was not conducive to my indulgence in this handsome rooftop environment.
Special place for a meal.
Absolutely wonderful place for a late brunch on a day off from work. I’ve been to an RH restaurant before, in Chicago, and this one was just as beautiful, starting with the glass elevator ride up through the RH. We were seated in a perfect little corner booth in the back with a great view of the restaurant, which is so special. Even the bathroom is gorgeous! The truffle grilled cheese and chicken / avocado Caesar salad was a perfect snack for two people to have with champagne. Our server, Mark, was perfect - checked in just enough, but also gave us space to just sit and enjoy the space and each other. Thank you to the staff for a great time!
Amazing space, great food, slightly overpriced
A beautiful restaurnt, very well curated and designed. The food was really good - we had the cheese board, the roasted chicken and the steak sandwich. Flavors were reall good, portions were good. The meat and cheese board being $45 was a bit steep but the quality of the cheese and meat was good so I guess it's fair NY prices. The booth we sat in was nice visually, corner seat, under a nice chandellier, but it was too deep of a booth. If you leaned all the way back you couldn't reach the table if you tried. Other than that, great restaurant with nice views and beautiful interior.
Beautiful Ambiance. Excellent Food and Service
RH Rooftop is a wonderful dining experience in the Meat Packing District. If you enjoy the ambiance as much as the food, this place is for you. We went for brunch and I think this is the perfect place for it. Whether you sit inside under the sparkling chandlers or on the amazing terrace with the view it adds to the experience. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food choice some feel limited, but for brunch or lunch it was perfect. No hard liquor but many wine choices available. We were celebrating a special occasion and this venue added extra sparkle to the celebration, compared to our usual go-tos in the area.
Great ambience, bad food
The ambience is breathtaking!!!! Gorgeous chandeliers, mirrors all around making the space even bigger and brighter. And the service was outstanding. And that’s it. The food is not worth it at all. Very scarce menu, super limited choice. We ordered rib eye steak, roasted chicken, lobster roll, salad with seafood, crispy artichoke, truffle fries, mushrooms and cheese board. Let me tell you, out of everything that we ordered the only 2 things were good- truffle fries and rib eye steak. That’s it, the chicken was dry , the mushrooms were very watery , the artichokes were bad. And we wanted to bring our own cake, they told us that they would charge us a cutting fee of $10 per person. So meaning we would pay extra $80 just for them cutting our own cake that we purchased. This is outrageous And at the end there was one manager that kept giving us rolling us and faces as it was late and she probably wanted to go home, but we were not the only customers in the restaurant, so I don’t know what her problem was
best views in all of nyc
i swear, best views in all of new york. if you go and dont even eat anything I'm telling you its worth it for the views.
Poor restaurant, great furniture store
The last time we visited NYC, we were told we had to try out RH Rooftop, but it was hard to get a reservation. On our current visit we finally made it but we were profoundly disappointed. The staff and location were excellent but the food was uninspired, woefully under seasoned and bland. If it was served in the high end wing of a hospital it would be 5 star. Note,...these days when you enter a restaurant with salt and pepper on the table, get ready to season yourself. We started by learning it was a wine and beer selection only. Strange. Our first course was fried artichoke which was served for some strange reason on a bed of unseasoned potato slices. After a bit of DYI seasoning the potato's were fine. My better half had the salmon which was served next to a wedge of lemon. Yes,...just a wedge of lemon. I had the burger per the waiters guidance. Bland and unremarkable. They are building an RH Rooftop near my home in Newport Beach. I'll pass. They do have incredible sofas though.
Great place, even better service. We will be back 🙌🏻
Amazing restaurant with perfect views. We had the good fortune to be seated by Christine Ramos. I don’t know what you pay this lady RH but give her a raise, she’s amazing. What an asset to have her on your team.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?
