Neighborhood Gem.
Riccardo Trattoria is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The service was truly impeccable β attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. And the foodβ
It's still a good place for dinner
A couple came for dinner on an August weekday night at 7:15 pm to this longtime Lincoln Park Italian spot. There were tables along the sidewalk mostly filled; we chose to sit indoors. The menu has 2 components: the regular menu and a shorter list o
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service.
Small business but big kudos for the food.
Riccardo Trattoria is a hidden gem.
A true authentic and excellent establishment that serves delicious authentic Italian dishes you now almost can't find anywhere else. Having lived in the NY/NJ area for close to 30 years - I had a chance to eat lots of authentic Italian. We went
Food was great, service was very attentive.
One in our party has Gluten, Olive Oil, Dairy, and Egg allergy and was able make a delicious and safe meal (fettuccine with bolognese) for her.

Not the best Italian food I've had in Chicago, but not the worst either. I don't think the quality of the food is worth the price and the atmosphere doesn't make up for it either. I had a pasta special that they substituted gluten fre
Calamari was amazing! Thank you to Theo for great service.
The outside seating was perfect for us.

One wonders what the TripAdvisor reviewers are thinking. Better yet, one wonders if they are legitimate. Riccardoβs was entirely mediocre. My fish was overcooked, over sauced, and the tiny fillet was loaded with bones. Slopped together, sauce douse

Had a reservation but wasn't seated til 20 minutes after the time despite whole party being present. Food was okay. Good service. Venue is loud so you kind of have to shout and you will hear those around you given tightly packed tables.
Closer to a 3.
75, I think. My complaints are minor but at the time seemed more annoying. An appetizer of stuffed zucchini blossoms was delicious however the menu didn't state that half the dish was plain fried zucchini sticks. That was a serious letdown con
Riccardo Trattoria is EVERYTHING.
Warm lighting, rustic charm, and that 'I summer in Capri' energy. Perfect for trying to escape the Chicago winter. If this place were a man, he'd be tall, dark, and fluent in the language of pasta. The burrata? Creamy perfection. The

Went there for my birthday dinner of a party of 13 people and we got a nice long table in the corner. Food was great, portions were big (huge plus cause we were all grad students), and the group photos also turned out great with the brick wall interi

This little northside Lincoln Park district Italian Restaurant has that old school intimate dining that is lacking with so many trendy, glitsy, and polished dining "shows". Riccardo sticks to the core plan of giving you the best meal you ca

Wonderful. This place is the real deal. I live near the North End in Boston and Iβve had some spectacular Italian meals. This place is worth a visit. Service was over the top. Food didnβt disappoint. Impulsively ordered desserts and was blown awa
One Of Chicago's Best Italian Restaurants
These 2 longtime Chicagoans had a truly outstanding dinner on May 24 2024. My wife & I shared the amazing whole Branzino (the real thing) and the Linguini Vongole. The pasta was cooked to perfection & the small clams were great. We also share
Great food; atmosphere not so much
Went for an early dinner to celebrate a friendβs birthday. It was pretty empty- and quiet - when we were seated but by the time we were eating dinner it was crowded and very loud. The tables are very closely packed and itβs all hard surfaces. I t
THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN CHICAGO AND ELSEWHERE
This is the best italian restaurant my wife and I have visited almost anywhere in the world including Italy. It has an unbeatable menu, from starters such as salads, soups, main courses, desserts, in addition to being a unformal restaurant, with goo
Upscale Italian - Neighborhood Gem
Great upscale Italian food for sure. There wasn't a crumb or sauce left on any of our plates at the end. The waitstaff hustle like no one's business, but still we waited a long time to get our food. Having said that, it was all so enjoy
Delicious meal, awesome staff, and nice ambiance dining on the front patio.
We enjoyed amazing meals and wonderful staff dining outside on the front patio for our 20th anniversary. Thank you for a great evening!
Amazing menu
This was the best meal that we had in Chicago. The depth and quality of the menu was outstanding. The preparation of the dishes was excellent. The service and ambiance were also top quality.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Riccardo Trattoria Chicago at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Riccardo Trattoria Chicago page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Riccardo Trattoria Chicago to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Riccardo Trattoria Chicago!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
