Rikki Tiki Tavern Cocoa Beach Reviews from The Last Year
I took my girlfriend here for a surprise as we had never
I took my girlfriend here for a surprise as we had never been here. We recently moved to Florida from Southern California. Our lunch started off really bad as our waitress Lisa did not acknowledge us for 30 minutes and then stated she forgot about us. I found it very peculiar since it was only 2 other tables waiting to order. As a 9 year military veteran I was very disappointed by her unprofessionalism. Lucky for us another waitress decided to help us and she was amazing and fantastic. She shared with us she had been working there for 7 years and she loved her job and the view. She really was attentive and gave us invaluable information about the area and Cape Canaveral. We loved the view and we ordered the Nachos and they were extremely tasty. One of the male bartenders also came over and was very pleasant and kind. I am so sorry we did not get our 2nd waitresses name but I made sure to tip her well and tell her thanks for turning our lunch date into an amazing time. The 1st waitress Lisa really seemed to have an attitude for some odd reason, she never spoke to us or made eye contact and just left us waiting for 30 minutes. We have never ever complained about service as we both are very easy going and very appreciative of waiters and waitresses but this was our worse waitress we have ever encountered.
Cool place on the cocoa beach pier.
I can't speak for the food, only the drinks. Drinks were cold and refreshing! Ordered some IPA mango as well as some light beer. Good drinks with right amount of carbon with great chill temperature. Sat at the bar, was able to see some surf action while sipping on some brews. Nice Ambiance to chill and relax. Bartenders were attentive to your needs. I recommend this place just because it is on the pier. Good place to take your date.
Visit for the ocean view not to eat
This place is very well located and I recommend it for the view, the setting, immersion in the ocean with incredible views. On the other hand, calling it a “restaurant” is impossible for a French person! Mostly frozen food, chicken breaded with Archie breading cooked (almost burnt) and which is more abundant than the chicken (Cesar salad), Cesar sauce has only the name and not the taste, but that is nothing by in relation to the service which was provided at our table by a person who was as incompetent as possible. In short, go to this place for the eyes, not for your palate or the service. I also forgot, $12 each This place is very well located and I recommend it for the view, the setting, immersion in the ocean with incredible views. For 2 people we ended up paying $73 before tip for two main
For 2 people we ended up paying $73 before tip for two main meals, an extra side, one smoothie, and two beers. We ordered 2 drafts beers and a Strawberry/Passionfruit virgin smoothie (REALLY good). for our meals we had the pork butt mac and cheese with onion rings on it and a crab cake sandwich. The mac and cheese was very creamy and delicious, but it was a little pricey at $16 given the portion was a little small. but overall the food was great. Their menu is the same as Pier 62 (even said pier 62 at the bottom) Given that it's January and the off season we had no trouble getting a table. Service was good. We were lucky enough to see dolphins playing in the surf while eating, which wS a nice treat. We definitely will bring visiting guests here, but will warn them of the price.
Great grouper sandwich!
Great restaurant. We sat on the pier over the water and it was an incredible view. Food was excellent. We ordered the grouper, which was amazing, pork nachos, and a ceasar salad. All was very good. Service was great. Jeremy was our server and did a great job. We did have to wait a LONG time to be seated but it was worth it. It was a little confusing how they seat people… once they had enough room for 30 people, then they let that amount come in. Seemed an odd way to seat people. It definitely caused the long line and people left because they didn’t want to keep waiting. It was worth it to us!
My husband & I stumbled upon this bar when on our honeymoon.
The atmosphere is amazing! Friendly bartender and wonderful views. The drinks were pretty tasty too, food was alright. Will be coming back here next vacation
Great location at the end of Coco Beach Pier.
Seating can be difficult depending on day / time. Good drinks and decent service. I have not had any food items from here so I can't speak to quality of menu. Great place to hang out for a cocktail and conversation and take in the beautiful ocean at Coco Beach. Hours seem a little inconsistent so maybe call before going to make sure they are open.
Very fun experience with friends or loved one! Great view
Very fun experience with friends or loved one! Great view and excellent drink selection! Friendliest servers and bartenders! I love tiki bars!
Food was really good, service and ambiance were amazing as
Food was really good, service and ambiance were amazing as this place sits here the pier, the server was really sweet. Paid $100 for three plates of food and two drinks, so just a point of reference for pricing. It was for my pops birthday so I didn't mind it, but def not for a regular night out. Overall really good time
The kids loved the cheeseburger and hotdog.
Their fries though are magic! I had the blacked grouper tacos and my husband the sandwich. Both were delicious. The Mango Madness was just what this vacationing mama needed. The view off the pier was the cherry on top. After traveling we all finally felt relaxed and made special here. Our waitress even asked if we wanted a second glass to split my daughters "virgin" margarita since most kids don't drink all of it. My husband was on board ;), and enjoyed sampling, too! just keep your napkins underneath your cup or silverware. Wind is a thing out on the water, haha! drinks and food both came very fast. highly recommend!!
Tourist trap with bad food and terrible service
When we arrived, we asked a waitress if we seat ourselves or have to check in and she stated “use your eyes” and walked off. A couple right by us let us know we have to seat ourselves. We ordered the calamari, which tasted like it was frozen and then microwaved. We also ordered the sesame noodle bowl (decent) and the alligator sandwich (not good). The food was bad and the service was terrible. Save yourself the trip.
Multiple restaurants at the Pier serve food from the same
Multiple restaurants at the Pier serve food from the same menu as mentioned... drinks as well. That said, The Miami vice drinks were on point! Food was good. We had the burger, blackened chicken and some kid meals all were happy. Come here for the view and for the drinks and of coarse the surfing!
We went to the Cocoa Beach pier and found this great Tiki
We went to the Cocoa Beach pier and found this great Tiki Bar at the end! We we're in Cocoa to watch the surfers and boy did they not disappoint! With Hurricane Lee waves at 8-10ft tall it was amazing! Service was spot in. We didn't eat but the food they were serving looked delicious. A must see!
Don’t order food here. I’ve had better food at McDonalds.
Overpriced food. All this place has going for it is the location. The food is awful and expensive. So many pigeons inside the bar. We ended up abandoning our food because there were so many pigeons inside trying to land on our food.
Avoid this place!!
Overpriced food and drink. Server had very bad attitude from the start and was quite rude. This place relies on the great location and doesn't seem to care about customers at all. Avoid!
Terrible service
We came to Rikki Tiki Tavern to celebrate the 4th of July and were very disappointed with our service. I (23) had ordered a cocktail and upon showing my UK driving license, I was rudely told that this form of ID was unacceptable, despite not having had any issues with other bars. Our waitress was incredibly blunt with us and seemed to go out of her way to feel unwelcome. After telling me that my ID wasn’t valid, she walked away with a smug look, and when we ordered a bowl of fries for the table she rolled her eyes at us. We left feeling very disappointed with our experience, which is a shame given the fantastic location of the venue.
Perfect beach/ocean bar
Gina is the best bartender, fantastic views and great drinks. Great service all around, would definitely come back.
Lunch on the water
The restaurant is out over the water and very shady and breezy. I had the fish dip and jerk shrimp. Our server Katelyn was fantastic and made us feel right at home and not rushed. We will be back.
Good food. Great view!
Sat overlooking the entire coastline. Had a great fish dip with tortilla chips for an appetizer, the jerk shrimp poke bowl, and a salad. The poke bowl was very tasty but really not worth the price. The fish dip with tortilla chip was excellent.
My New Favorite Place for Dinner in Cocoa Beach
My 13 year-old twins and I loved dining on this Pier. We started out under the main roof by the bar, and service was nice. For the rest of our stay in Cocoa, we ventured out to the end of the Pier at the Tavern. It can be chilly to cold out there with the evening breeze, especially after sunset, so bring a sweater, but well worth going. Staff was friendly, service was fast, food was delish. We ordered so many oysters that we were actually tired of them by the time our trip was over. The music was my FAVORITE - sounded like they were playing No Shoes Nation, but without any station identification, so probably just a comparable playlist that was PERFECT for the setting. You can see the reflection of most sunsets, which was an added perk. It's no where near the display of sunrise, but nice. We really loved this spot, and it was great to walk back to our condo.
