Route 66 Roadhouse Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Delicious food, Brian was the best server.
We had heard good things about this place and we weren't disappointed. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for three and were seated in a great booth and served by Brian who was hands down, the best server we had in the 2 weeks we were in Florida. Thanks Brian! We had a lot of food, far too much really, but everything sounded so good so we ordered it! The onion starter and pickles were delicious, but then the main came. Oh my goodness, it was huge! My steak was well cooked and the potato that came with it, well, in the UK that would have been a good portion lunch! The quality was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Good options and portions for children, too. My husband loved it so much, whenever anyone asks about our holiday to Florida, this is the first thing he mentions!
Poor Quality Control
Disappointed in the preparation of a steak & pork chops. My ribeye was ordered “medium” and was delivered running blood. My family knows I never send a steak back yet this was excessively raw. I sent my steak back along with my wife’s pink pork chop (1 of 2 was under-cooked) The manager brought back both cuts and asked we cut them to confirm the cut was cooked to our satisfaction. Doesn’t the chef know what a medium steak feels like? The pork chop was OK yet my steak was still bloody. They asked if I wanted to return the steak again which I refused knowing they would only burn the cut. I feel they should have offered to replace the steak from the 1st complaint. We paid our bill and left after lunch but will probably not return.
Not bad..very busy and still not a long wait. Very nice staff.
Yummy steak skewer and incredible mac n cheese. Caesar salad dressing tasted like horseradish ..one tiny crouton and barely any parmesan cheese. I would skip it next time.
Great Meal
We took two booths. Our waitress was awesome. The buns were incredible. Extensive menu to choose from. Most of us had some type of steak, but the apps were delicious first. Ribs were good. All but one steak was cooked perfect. The salads were cold and crisp. Kids didn't like the potato skins in the mashed, I loved it! We were celebrating a birthday, so they brought the saddle over and we Yee-hawed a birthday howl. Great sized drinks and fair prices. You can get in the queue as soon as you arrive, it only took 10mins before we were seated. Go early if you have a large group 5pm and beyond you'll be waiting way longer. It is a very busy place every night.
Didn't Disappoint
I wanted to go here because there isn't one where I am from in California. When it comes to chain restaurants, I have an idea what to expect. I was not disappointed when I left. I had a feeling this place would get busy and noticed people recommending using the online wait-list. Luckily, because it was an early dinner time, there was no wait. Our server was polite and friendly. We got some bread which was warm and tasty. It came with some kind of cinnamon butter that made it slightly sweet. I ordered the steak and shrimp with green beans and baked potato. The meat was tender and well cooked. The green beans were really good. They added garlic and bacon to it which elevated it's flavor. The manager came over with a coupon for free cactus blossom or fried pickles on our next visit because she heard it was our first time. I understand why this is a popular restaurant because if I have another encounter with Texas Roadhouse again, I'd take it.
Super tasty and atmospheric.
Cozy and attractive restaurant. Sufficient choice on the menu and service very nice and well organised. The requested food arrived quickly, the food was also very good and delicious. Absolutely recommended for any group.
Delicious steak and fantastic service
Very popular place with friendly and very attentive staff. The waiting time was reasonable at approx. 10 min even though the restaurant was full. The food was fantastic, one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Clear recommendation from here.
You can assess a lot about a business by its response to mistakes. This one did most things wrong.
I’ve had to consider how to write this review. The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday evening, but given that we were in the neighborhood of Disneyworld, one of the busiest tourist areas in the world, it was no worse than what one would expect. In the service industry, mishaps and misunderstandings always occur. It’s part and parcel of the job. But I’m of a firm opinion that how a business handles the problem says a lot about its management. Handled properly, I will still give a business five stars, even after a mistake is made. So far as I’m concerned this restaurant did nearly everything wrong. We brought a party of eight to the restaurant and we were offered a table within a reasonable period of time. We did not find out until then that they would not seat us until the entire party was present, and we were still waiting for three people. Other restaurants have this policy, so we didn’t particularly resent it, but it would have been nice to be warned, as we could have split up the party had we known this. We did eventually get seated together, we were asked for a drink order, and finally our food orders. We ordered eight entrees along with the expected side orders. We had the bread and drinks served in a reasonable time, and all was well. The service manager, Jennifer, came to our table to advise us that an automatic 15% service charge would be added to our meals because of the party size, which we expected. When the entrees came, our experience took a serious downturn. We were served multiple plates of just meat without any side orders along with the explanation that they were out of baked potatoes and would need another twenty minutes before any would be available. They offered us an opportunity to choose different side orders, but a couple of us were willing to wait for our potatoes. One person sent back his filet after the first bite as it was cooked clearly far beyond the medium rare he had ordered. One steak arrived without the sautéed mushrooms. The replacement sides arrived a few minutes later. The food was not fantastic, but it was adequate. Every meat product and salmon was much saltier than expected, and we didn’t have potatoes to compensate for all the sodium taste. The person who had ordered corn did not find that it had any corn taste. But it was okay. However, the person whose steak had been improperly prepared was left without a meal while everyone else ate. The replacement steak did not come out until long after everyone else had finished eating, and only after having to enquire a couple of times for it. The gentleman who had ordered it decided against having it plated as everyone else was ready to leave, so he asked to have it put in a to go box. The server evidently forgot that two of us were still waiting for potatoes. His explanation was that he had come out to offer us alternative side dishes, and we had to explain to him again that we had not ordered replacements and were waiting for our potatoes. We asked for those to be placed in a to go box as well. The manager agreed to comp the steak that did not arrive until the end of everyone else’s meal. The bill was brought on an electronic tablet and each of us were supposed to pay our tabs in the order of where we were seated. My main objection to that is that if they are able to keep our tabs separated that way, then the server ought to have been bale to know which entree was which, and they did not. The person whose meal ought to have been comp’ed was not. And our table, in general, objected to the mandatory service charge when the service had been so appalling. Not only was the management not at all apologetic that the food we ordered was not available but they were also not penitent that one person was going to leave without eating. When we pointed out that items were missing, such as side dishes and mushrooms from the steak, the responses were perfunctory and insincere. We had to bring back the manager after the man whose meal was supposed to be comp’ed was not. She asked if anyone had had ordered the entree in question and later came back and accused one person of not admitting to ordering that entree. She finally brought the bills on separate paper checks, and those who had not already paid their checks could choose their own service charges. Final assessment: The food was okay. It was not fantastic and we had far better meals for a similar price. But this is a subjective opinion. The service was poor. We ought to have been forewarned that our entire party had to be available before we could be seated, but we can live with that. We should have been warned far earlier that the potatoes would require an additional wait. We definitely should not have had to remind the staff multiple times that we were still waiting for food. The empty bread baskets did not get collected after they were emptied and we collected the salad plates ourselves and cleared them in advance of our entrees. Our table was a mess the entire evening. The attitude from the management was appalling. We can accept that the service and food quality might be compromised on a busy night. But there is no excuse for treating customers poorly or for accusing customers of not acknowledging their entrees. The only meal that was comp’ed was the one that had entirely not been brought to the table at all. The entire party’s experience had been markedly compromised by the staff’s attitude, and none of us left the restaurant feeling that we had had a pleasant or positive visit. There are going to be far better places to eat in this area, and I advise that you look for one of them, because this one is not it.
Terrible Experience
We didn’t complain… just in case this is how the meat is meant to taste, but for a visiting Aussie, this was terrible. The queue to get in was not a problem, but the waitress trying to rush you through was… at first we thought it was just good service that she was coming to us every 2 minutes… but then we realised that she was oblivious to what was happening at the table or what was requested… it was just rushing us. The steak when it arrived was over cooked, bland and tough… and not even touched. The ribs were devoid of any sauce dry and flavourless - we ate them out of hunger Despite most of the food being untouched, the waitress was still in rush mode so didn’t ask if anything was wrong… just pointed us towards an online payment system to get us out the doir Overall an absolutely terrible experience… ironically there was an Outback Shack next door that made us rue the decision even more
Got Sick
Had a fun night out at Texas Roadhouse with a bunch of friends. I love the casual atmosphere and consistently good food at this chain. We ordered ribs and a Cactus Onion for appetizers. Both were good. I was fairly full from the apps so I ordered a Critter salad instead of a main course. My guests ordered a wide variety of main courses, and to be fair, everyone enjoyed them. I enjoyed my critter salad too until about 3:00 a.m., at which time I suffered severe indigestion and multiple trips to the toilet to release explosive diarrhea. My symptoms continued throughout the next day. I had no idea the salad caused my illness. I only ate about 1/3 of the salad and one of my friends took the rest in a to-go box. Today he called me and said he finished my salad and also went through explosive diarrhea several hours later. Not hating on Texas Roadhouse, and I'm sure I will eat there again, but my last experience was unacceptable.
Good food and service
Great service from Sasha. Food was good. Awesome rattlesnake bites. They stay busy usually a 15-20 minute wait
Great job
Rarely do I commend corporate restaurants as they are bland but the management here is doing a great job and the service, food, cleanliness was above expectations. Great job.
Awesome evening dinner!
Went as a family to thank our son on Veterans Day for his service and was just delighted! The call in system worked very well, checkin was awesome, our server, Scion was AMAZING! The food was great and we had a great evening!
The 1 pound burgers are amazing.
The place is nice and clean. The service was good. The food we ordered was delicious and all the food we saw pass our table looked just as good.
Ate at the roadhouse for dinner tonight.
Chelsea and Jessica were awesome with their hospitality. it was my birthday and they brought out chocolate cake, and also provided a free adult beverage to celebrate my birthday. Awesome service!!!!
Staff is not doing what it's supposed to be doing.
Other members aren't helping out, inside is not the best shape, food is just above average. in summary, definitely not attending this place in the near future

Maybe if they cleaned up the front entrance a lot, it would give a more welcoming atmosphere. Fried mushrooms were blah, but both soups were very good. Our hostess was pretty attentive. They do charge a fee for groups over four people. Also, everyone at your table has to do the all you can eat, which goes up by $5.00 after 6.

As being a local, I do like to support places that are close to me. Decide to go here last night 6/26. There was maybe one car in the parking lot but it was still early so we thought we'd give it a try still my personal opinion don't go here order the chicken fried steak, which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli and a side salad Got the side salad the cucumbers and cheese were warm That should've been the first clue. When I got the entrée, it looked very good wrong. The broccoli had a very bad aftertaste. The mashed potatoes were grainy even though he looked fresh and the chicken fried steak was burnt. My other party got the fish and chips which you could clearly see the fish was frozen as they are all the same shape. This is a zero star review.

This place is run down inside and out! The prices are insanely high for what they are trying to serve. The staff is over worked and do not have time to write things down! We were served the wrong drinks the wrong salads and they food was awful! The restaurant manager did take off a meal and an extra 20% and i appreciate that though I didn't expect that!! We left a big tip because I didn't want our waitress to they I had anything against her!

Good question. Currently the bidder will have to include the prepaid dinner price plus bid to secure the reservation. AT is currently working on an upcoming release where the prepaid amount and the bid amount are two separate transactions. Happy Bidding!
