Ruin Brew: Brunch & Beer Budapest Reviews
Please do Bottomless Brunch
Esther is the absolute best! We’ve been American expats since December and this place is our favorite find in Europe. Bence, Meg, and David are so cognizant of their customers’ needs. This was exactly the safe haven I needed while in Budapest. We felt at home in a place that’s so far from home. Please do the bottomless brunch. You won’t regret it.
Great wee place
Spent a few hours here yesterday with friends (4 couples) We all had the bottomless brunch. Excellent food, great drinks and the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Really great place would definitely recommend a visit.
Cool spot, well worth a visit
Really cool bar, great range of drinks and very decent food. We were a group of 5 couples who enjoyed a fun Sunday brunch here. Great hosts, really friendly and helpful. We would have been delighted to stay longer but had to get out and do some sightseeing!

Another great craft beer bar
Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city we decided to drop into Ruin Brew and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, interior is superb, a great looking serving bar, fantastic decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, its just a great bar to chill out in. We were here on a cold November night, bar was busy with a great atmosphere, a quick study of their beer range and we opted to have Ruin Brew ipa, these were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar. My ipa was really good, a well balanced ipa, hoppy but not overhopped, hints of caramel, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish to it, a really good ipa that was just a joy to drink. We both really enjoyed our ipa's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to Ruin Brew we had a great time. Ruin Brew is easy to locate along Akacfa Utca. Opening hours are; Monday to Wednesday, 5pm till midnight. Thursday, 5pm till 2am. Friday & Saturday, 10am till 3am. Sunday, 10am till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
Craft Beers And American Classics.
Ruin Brew-Brunch&Beer is a fantastic craft beer bar on Akácfa Útca that offers a very good craft beer range and a superb menu of American classic dishes and snacks. This is a brilliant craft beer bar that has a great interior with exposed brick walls and lots of interesting fixtures and features and lots of good seating options and was a real joy to visit on our holiday in Budapest. This superb craft beer bar was only a short walk from the hotel me and my twin brother where staying in and we went to here early in the afternoon. When we visited it was just starting to get busy.We took a seat and we had a few pints of Ruin-Brew IPA which was brilliant and price wise on par with most of the craft beer bars we visited. This is a fantastic craft beer bar that offers a superb craft beer range and a nice food range and is well worth visiting and is really easy to find from Oktogon metro stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of Ruin Brew-Brunch&Beer). Worth checking out in the Party Quarter
Been here many time since Covid so this isn't one of those "hit and run" reviews that TA is famous for. It is owned by an American and you can kind of tell as it is professionally run for the most part in addition to them sometimes displaying American collegiate football matches and other things like that which are of little interest to Europeans. They have a kitchen that prepares "Mexican" food that is perfect for a pub setting. It is usually quick and of a good enough quality. Sometimes they have "pop up" brunches on weekends. Their drink offerings are a bit spare. A up to maybe six craft beers on tap that they brew themselves. They do have other drinks available but they aren't well stocked. Unfortunately, the quality of their beer ranges from well made to so poor that it should never been released for sale. Plus everything that they brew are crowd-pleasers like IPAs, APAs and sours, except they don't serve lagers probably because it is too difficult and costly. Their prices until recently made it easy to tolerate their variable offerings, but now that inflation has hit, one now has to be far more careful. Try to have their bartender steer you in the right direction, but not all of them are knowledgeable about what is good. To sum it up, this place not really meant for serious craft beer enthusiasts. While claiming to be a ruin bar, except for the decor, they are a far cry from a genuine ruin bar of those days in the past before the area became known as the Party Quarter. While a bit removed from all the hubbub within the Party Quarter, their atmosphere can be varied. Sometimes very quiet and then there's times where it is loud with a lot of travelers squawking. The bar staff is generally good and if they made a mistake would solve the problem right away and not get surly. If you are in the Party District, this is a place to check out at least.
Not the best around
Friendly people, but small selection of beers, all of them IPA varieties and one blond. Mediocre food.
