Excellent Meal in a Very Busy Restaurant
This is one very busy restaurant (for good reason). We went on a Friday night and had a reservation and were seated immediately. By the time we left it was overflowing. I had the lamb kabob and it was cooked perfectly. All the food is fresh, the service is excellent even though they were slammed. Will definitely return.

Went here for a double birthday celebration and it was so good! Our service was excellent and the food had great flavors. We ordered lamb, filet and sea bass and our waitress brought it out family style with rice and grilled vegetables. We will definitely come back again!

We're out & about again!! Rumi's Kitchen serves Persian cuisine. Reservations absolutely necessary. Restaurant was packed on a Friday nite as expected for such a popular restaurant. Bar packed as well. Seated immediately upon arrival. Their warm tortilla like bread was almost there b4 we sat down. ๐ when I ordered grilled shrimp I thought there would be more than two for $14.00. But the flavor was excellent, although I made a mess trying to unshell them. The jalapeรฑo dip was great. Wifey ordered Falafel w humas, which she said was excellent. She also ordered the lamb kabob. Cooked to perfection. I ordered the lamb shank. Which came in a huge soup boul with a big side of rice, which I promptly added to the bowl. The shank was extremely tender & flavorful. The broth had spices I'd never tasted before, but thoroughly enjoyed. Wifey had Reisling I had an "Old Fashion" We wholeheartedly endorse Rumi's & Suggest you try it as well. RESERVATIONS STRONGLY SUGGESTED #tonguetested

Superb. Still top of my Atlanta restaurant list. We love getting various dishes for the middle to share. We always get the mixed dips for app. Sea bass was especially popular last night.

Be the first to ReplyPros: Food & Service; Con: Noise Level
We visited with local friends who have loved Rumiโs for many years (they, too, were affected by the Motherโs Day 2020 debacle which resulted in many of the negative reviews, but they said all disappointed customers were given $50 gift cards - a nice gesture for issues beyond control). We went with their suggestions for appetizers: hummus, roasted cauliflower, Fattoush salad and Kashk Badenjoon, an eggplant spread. Each table gets a complimentary bowl with a bit of feta, walnut halves, herbs and amazing green olives- herbs were great with the hummus. Also complimentary is wonderful fresh- baked flatbread, baskets refilled when empty. Appetizers were very nice, perhaps not quite as flavorful as anticipated. Maybe I expected more hot spice, but admit little familiarity with Persian cuisine. We all loved our main courses: chicken kabob, lamb shanks, and Badenjoon, an eggplant/tomato beef stew. All came with more than ample sides of saffron basmati rice, be prepared to take some home! One in our group substituted zereshk, a rice with dried barberries - sort of like tiny tart cranberries. Our server, Maria, was incredible. We dine out often, her professional and efficient but not hurried service was much like European staff who must go through training. She made sure we had fresh flatware with each course, which all fine dining establishments should provide (but all too often this is neglected in the U.S.). Parking is only by valet, with a nominal charge of a couple dollars. The restaurant is popular and noisy, and we were in the back room which is smaller and perhaps a bit less loud. Therefore I wouldnโt recommend Rumiโs for a romantic date, but for a group it is fine and the decor is pleasing.

AMAZING!! by far my favourite restaurant in atlanta. When I went I didnโt think it would be my kind of place but honestly the most amazing food!!! The salmon is to die for and I will come back every time I am costing atlanta. Was so good I even went twice in one week
Be the first to ReplyGreat authentic Persian food with some considerations on portions and price
Some mixed experiences with the family eating here. The positives, delicious and relatively authentic Persian food. The ghormeh was delicious, the kobodeh was tasty and the bademjan was great. I loved the โwomen life freedomโ prints on the staff shorty in support of Iranian women. The waitress was courteous and helpful when my wife spill some water on table accidentally. Also, the concept of open kitchen gives a nice vibe. Some not so positive feedbacks include long wait at the valet, and the fact that the food portions were small. The price for a lunch on a weekday was a bit high as well.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner. Hummus, Falafel, Spinach and Date Salad (my favorite) and Kashk Badenjoon. Our waiter was great and gave us good recommendations. For desert we had the Persian Ice Cream Sandwich which is really difficult to describe as it is totally unique to me. We had some issues with the hostess staff. Despite having a reservation, they were in no hurray to get us seated and did not provide updates or even friendly smiles, just let us stand around waiting. We ended up sitting close to the entrance which proved to be good as the sound level in the back of the restaurant (where the restrooms are) was very high.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place with amazing food !
The place is so cozy , food is amazing , great portions , loved the desserts also. Attention was very good , I would recommend it 100% , my fav was the rise with raisins and the eggplant so yummy !
Be the first to ReplyBland food and noisy venue.
Service was fine but the noise was off putting and the food was so dry that I couldn't eat it. Wine was needed just to get through half the meal. Not recommended.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and very generous
Wonderful appetizers, grilled meats and more. Everything was scrumptious. Read some of the negative reviews and I can't believe that these people actually ate there. They seem like competitors or something.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is delicious!
The food in this place in so good. The Salmon hummus, will leave your mouth watering. Also had the chicken wings with the spicy sauce. The drinks were worth every penny. I canโt wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyNasty Food
The food was old and the Paneer was made with cheddar cheese and the mushrooms in the mushroom fried rice where canned and old. I was greatly disappointed especially because I had spent $38.00 and was unable to eat it.
Be the first to ReplyA place for the special occasions- A bit too crowded for togetherness.
A good place for middle eastern food choices but a bit to crowded and congested for an eatery to be .
Be the first to ReplySeating
Restaurant is half empty and they wonโt seat us because one of our party is late. Rumi, today you did not impress.
Be the first to ReplyHuge portions; good for groups
Iโm not one who normally eats Persian food but Iโve been twice and did enjoy the meal both times. Itโs a good restaurant for groups and itโs loud and energetic with lots of items for sharing. Portions are HUGE so itโs not a great place for those of us staying in hotels as we canโt bring the extras home.
Wait staff can be sometimes be a bit frazzled as itโs so difficult to coordinate so many large group tables and large orders.
Wonderful Private Party
We had booked the private room here for dinner - it was about 30 of us - the arrangement was great. We had the pre-set dinner menu - tons of appetizers, 4-5 entrees served family style and 3 or so desserts. The food is always great here especially their appetizers are to die for,. The only complain i have was that they had only 1 waiter for the entire private party who was also working the main restaurant - he was working very hard but drinks and other stuff was severely delayed. Otherwise it was a great party.

While looking for a place for lunch we came across Rumi's. We were a party of (5) that were greeted quickly and friendly by the hostess. The waitress was attentive and very informative to the menu, as well as the specials. We went with her recommendations as this was our first experience with Rumi's. A pleasant all around nice lunch, all were pleased with the meal. They offer a varied selection or meats, fish, and vegetarian dishes as well as a vey nice. When we are in the area again we will defintely visit again
