Great and fast service, they let me try and sample several
Great and fast service, they let me try and sample several flavors. Opted for the single split scoop since the servings are large. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Straccictalla and the Lemon Mari Gold Ammarro Sherbert which are both limited seasonal flavor. I liked it because the flavors all are light but blend together well. Lots of open seating in front.
Be the first to ReplyMost of their flavors are exotic.
I settled for a seasonal flavor because it was more on the traditional side. Delicious ice cream nonetheless! Parking is a major issue on this side of town. Very long wait with a line down the block practically, fast service. Fresh waffles made to order it seems. Very limited seating, but nice decor.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing ice-cream varieties and loved a lot of flavours.

Variety favor and they have unique favor and signature is good for hangout and date night
Be the first to ReplySo many flavors to choose from.
Not the run of the mill flavored ice cream. How do they come up with these flavors, apparently in Portland. They are happy to give unlimited samples. We opted for sea salt caramel and a monthly special, rhubarb crumble.
Be the first to ReplyI really enjoy the interesting flavors that salt & straw
I really enjoy the interesting flavors that salt & straw puts together. Everyone in my group did not agree with my favorite flavor that I tend to get 90% of the time from here because the vinaigrette is such a strong flavor that cuts through the creamy strawberry icecream but I enjoy it. Can never taste the black pepper but I honestly think that's a plus. The service is nice although a bit slow. It's fine though because it's honestly just subject to how many flavors people want to try. I love the sustainability aspect of using reusable spoons for samples at all salt & straws! Terrible for parking since it's such a difficult place to find street parking and there's no specific lot but it's the art district and so you can find parking a few blocks around. They take cash but I think card is preferred since they had to go to the back for change for $100 despite the bill being close to that with such a large group. Love salt & straw and so will be back again!

Salt and straw in the arts district! Always busy and open late to fill your sweet cravings. The cookie dough here is the best ice cream. Also the lucky charms ice cream is amazing and is rare so try it if you can. You can sample different flavors as well.
Be the first to ReplyI came back to update my review.
I have been going back ever so often and the guy in the beanie has helped me out a handful of times and has been really cool, calm and collected. He put me onto this rice crispy flavor and we chop it up when it's more on the empty side. I still see the chunky girl who was acting the way she was last time but I avoid her and never let her serve me she is still very rude but this is still one of my favorite places, he makes it better and the rest of the staff!
Be the first to ReplyThe three of us went to this place to try something
The three of us went to this place to try something different. The flavors we tried were Double-Fold Vanilla, Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, and Passion Fruit Yuzu. We all liked the flavors that we chose. The service was really great and I would recommend it to friends who haven't tried it yet.

Salt & Straw in the Arts District is an absolute must-visit for ice cream enthusiasts. The selection of flavors is beyond impressive, with each one more enticing than the last. From classic favorites to innovative creations, there's something for every palate to enjoy.
Be the first to ReplyI have the book and have made incredible Icecream from it
I have the book and have made incredible Icecream from it and what it inspired me to create. However I just don't get the sugar bombs like Lucky Charms in Icecream!!?? I had the almond choch which was great. However there were only three on the very long list of flavors that were appealing. The pet Icecream flavors sounded better than most human. Perhaps I am not the demographic they are targeting? I have a huge following for my Icecreams I make at my goat ranch. Peach w homemade crystal ginger, pomegranate w dark choc chips, etc w raw goat milk bases.
Be the first to ReplySummer is incredible!!! she never fails to liven up my day.
I'm normally pretty picky- but she knows what i do and don't like and gives me killer recommendations.. Thanks Summer! I've gone to a lot of salt and straws, and seeing as this one is out of my way, i originally didn't visit it much- however it is now my go to thanks to the wonderful hospitality at this location!
Be the first to ReplyGreat service.
Great flavor selection. My favorite is the lavender blend. Pleasing to my palate. Ice cream literally melts in your mouth.
Be the first to Replyhere for the vegan flavors! january was the best month
here for the vegan flavors! january was the best month because they had like 10 flavors. been waiting for the oat & cookies to come back, but unfortunately it hasn't i live in little tokyo so arts district is down the street, but parking can be tough we went sunday night & there was a small line. got double scoops which comes out to $8, but worth the treat. the freckled mint choc chip is my fav! their new zombie flavor is to die for as well def one of the tastiest ice cream spots i've had!

I'm addicted to salt and straw flavors! So many to flavors to choose from. My favorite would be the pear and blue cheese.
Be the first to ReplyI'm not a fan of the arts district or downtown Los Angeles
I'm not a fan of the arts district or downtown Los Angeles parking, but this ice cream shop is worth it. The ice cream is amazing but something about this location and the vibe in the area just makes an end of the night experience with friends a memorable one. I visit the Orange County location at Downtown Disney more than this location, but can honestly say this one feels like home or just really cool. I risk it all and try to find street parking every time and can usually find a spot not too far away. It's so good, I brought my nephew here who was visiting from Samoa and he said it was really nice. The flavor profiles they have are original and I can't recommend one because you need to go through the tasting process yourself.
Be the first to ReplyThe best part was the park house rolls ice cream.
It tasted like a sweet cream ice cream flavor, with sweet rolls mixed in. The chewy and slightly savory bites accompanied by the creamy and buttery base gave this ice cream an overall delightful texture.
Be the first to ReplySalt & Straw may have some wild flavours but they somehow
Salt & Straw may have some wild flavours but they somehow pull it off every time. Don't be discouraged by a long line. Not only is it worth the wait, the employees manage to get the line moving relatively quickly. The service is friendly and shame-free when you ask to try an embarrassing amount of flavours. Don't be shy. This is not the time to count calories either, go for the waffle cone over the cup. It's worth it, every time. It's always a good idea to try their classic flavours and dive into their special edition flavours. Whenever I visit downtown, Salt & Straw is a must.
Be the first to ReplyTheir ice cream is fantastic but when I went in last night
Their ice cream is fantastic but when I went in last night the customer service was not there. Clearly looked like she did not want to work and had a poor attitude. All I ask is for great service and tasty ice cream.

My son who never ate ice cream before finally tried the cookie dough ice cream! He loved it!
Be the first to ReplyThis was such a fun experience! I recently discovered this
This was such a fun experience! I recently discovered this place while on my lunch break and I had to come back the day after lol love treating myself to a waffle cone and sprinkles :) a great treat compared to my typical Dairy Queen or Baskin Robbins run
Be the first to ReplySo good!!! Visited L.
A. recently and had their ice cream twice during a week visit. The cookie dough is to die for.
Be the first to ReplyOverrated IMO.
Fancy flavors, but none were of my liking so I went with vanilla. This was a fancy flavor by name( I don't remember the name), but not by taste. Just a normal overpriced vanilla. Not many topping options
