January 1st in Ravello enjoying Salvatore's cuisine
Still a place of culinary excellence where chef Luca and his team cook with love and passion.
Be the first to ReplyNice evening
Nice evening spent with friends with excellent wine and reasonably good food. The expectations, let me start by saying, were high and therefore an experience that honestly did not completely win us over. Owner and staff available. I don't feel like recommending this place in any way.
Be the first to Replygood but..
expectations were high: the staff was kind, the entrรฉ offered was nice, the presentation was inconsistent, the octopus appetizer was fresh and good but too salty, pasta and potatoes with calamari and spaghetti with clams were really excellent! the heavenly view. I would like to point out to the owners that in 2023 having an animal in a cage (parrot) is no boast even if they are treated well! We don't know the prices in the area but we found it slightly expensive grilled octopus potato side dish Spaghetti with clams pasta, potatoes and squid 2 glasses of wine a limoncello a coffee โฌ121
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful view - Food not so much
The view is beautiful but the food is heavy and not tasty. Service is slow and, as most people only speak Italian, it is difficult to communicate.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible conclusion to the holidays
When we arrived at the restaurant there was no menu outside the entrance to allow us to understand what the place offered. Unprofessional welcome, after a bit of hesitation they let us sit and brought us the menu. While waiting for us to decide what to have they brought an entree like crackers with oil foam. We took a first pacchero, 25 euros, it wasn't that great, a fried fish that was rubbery, paid 30 euros. A small glass of water and coke. And two place settings 4 euros each We left feeling hungry and we will certainly never go there again.
Be the first to ReplyVery good.
Just before the gallery, after going down a few steps, this restaurant appears. A corner of paradise with breathtaking views. The location is simple but pleasing to the eye and the dishes offered are delicious. To return.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food, attentive service and a million dollar view
We dined here at the recommendation of the concierge of our hotel. The food was fantastic and the view phenomenal. Service was also excellent with the wait staff magically appearing when needed, but not hovering around the table trying to upsell unwanted items.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food - we went three nights in a row!
My wife and I were in Ravello for a few nights for our honeymoon and didn't know where to go to eat. Our hotel was nearby and suggested Salvatore. The first night we went we did not have a reservation and luckily got a table - the people behind us in line did not. The food here is AMAZING. Every dish we had was off the charts creative and totally delicious. The carrot cake was the best carrot cake I've ever had, in a unique presentation. Truly every dish was outstanding. The next night we thought we should try somewhere else but there were so many things on the menu we wanted to get the first night that we went back! We ordered all different dishes and nothing disappointed! The beef tartare (not pictured) had these puffy cheese balls that defy description. The cacio e pepe was ridiculously good! When we were there that night we went ahead and made a reservation for our final night in town. By this point the staff was familiar with us and saved a great table by the window for us for our third dinner with them. The staff is very gracious and professional. The view is spectacular as well, even at night. This restaurant is worth going to Ravello for!

Superb food in a fantastic setting. Book ahead to be sure of a table so you can enjoy the views too.
Be the first to ReplyLovely B&B in Ravello โ skip Positano!
Family owned B&B in lovely Ravello. Owners are brothers who inherited the business from their father. Amazing experience. The main business is a restaurant on top with a handful of rooms below. Each have sweeping views of the coast. Rooms are clean and quaint. Not fancy but just a perfect slice of Italy. Breakfast is included โ not fancy but the pastries are amazing. The restaurant is also excellent! Be sure to say hello to โSalsaโ the Macaw who is at the entrance to the restaurant. Heโs super friendly. Great location in an amazing hilltop village. Perfect couples getaway. It was hot the week we were there and the AC was out for one night but owners brought us a fan. It was fixed the next day and made a huge difference. Canโt recommend highly enough!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Dining experience
After a day visiting beautiful Ravello , a friend recommended Salvatore Ravello. The restaurant is perched on top of the mountain with breathtaking views of the Med. and I would say it felt like being at a family restaurant with a wonderful warm vibe. Great tradition dishes along with specials from the sea. Our waiter recommended a local family wine which we loved with our lunch.. The chef came out to say hello to us and check on our meal which was a very nice touch. The food was exceptional and the service was just as great. A wonderful dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyViews are spectacular, food is good!
Stopped here for lunch and didnโt need a reservation which was great! Waiters were pleasant and the views were spectacular! Had the Cacio e Pepe which was nice! Would love to have gone for dinner here and tried their pizza!

My partner and I ate here on our tour of the Amalfi coast. We were staying in Scala so the location of Ravello was perfect ! The view is breathtaking and the food was the best we had during our stay. My partner had the signature dish and I had the truffle tagliatelle both were super! Would really recommend you wonโt be disappointed
Be the first to ReplySublime food - stunning views!
Really tasty lunch starting with their signature crispy bread & butter. We had the rabbit croquette tempura which were delicious also.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect setting for rehearsal dinner - Wedding May 2022
Our wedding planner Mario Capuano organised a private pizza party for our whole wedding party the night before our wedding. Private setting over looking the beautiful Amalfi Coast. The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly and the whole night was perfect. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyGO HERE!!!
THIS was the best meal we had on our trip to the amalfi coast and we ate a lot. The dishes are unique and delicious, fine dining with an amazing view. I'll never forget it! Do yourself a favor and GO HERE!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing tiramisu pebble!
5stars for great deserts. We had tiramisu and lemoncake. Both tasted wonderful and looked excelent. Tiramisu pebble tasted and looked amazing! I would come back for these! 5+ stars for view and service. 2stars for our food. Our fish of a day was just disapointment. Taste of fish was good, with kapparis and garlic, but prsentation not. Slice of fish and 1boiled potato for 25euros. Unfortunatelly we didint make pictures. Total disapointment, while other tables were presented with beautiful plates.
Be the first to ReplyLovely food and views
Lovely fish dishes and views over the coast. There was a good atmosphere, lovely glassware, and decor.
Be the first to ReplyRudeโฆโฆ..ruined start to our holiday
Made a telephone booking and confirmed date, time and number of people but on the day, they decided they had made a mistake and would not serve us. Offered no alternative and no offer to come back on another day or make any gesture of goodwill.
Be the first to ReplyStunning scenery!
Lunch here on a short visit to Ravello - the prettiest town on the Amalfi coast.
Un crowded and gorgeous views - the restaurant was one of the prettiest anywhere.
The food was delicious though not overly generous.
The bread featured a scene of the town in squid ink - very cool.
Service was prompt and pleasant.
The views are the big draw here - spectacular. Food is good but the scenery will bring you back.
Very disappointing
The surroundings in this restaurant are lovely and the views are breathtaking but, sadly, the food for our party of eight was a disappointment.
The cannelloni was stuffed more with potato than with fish and was only just lukewarm. The catch of the day was cooked well enough but there wasn't much of it and it had little flavour. The salad was unimaginative and tasteless. The best elements of our meal were the bread and the fries.
The restaurant tries very hard with very fancy melba type toast displayed on wooden stands and short bread biscuits strung from little trees made of twigs. But, for us, the main elements of the meal were a let down.
We didn't hang about for dessert.
don't miss it if in ravello
Wonderful views and a cool staff.I had an excellent seafood dishes and the night views on Minori was breathtaking.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent lunch
We dropped in during a visit to Ravello and they accommodated us with a lovely table even without a booking. Staff were very friendly and the service and food were excellent. I had the giant Gnocchi and my husband the beef, good portion sizes and all was delicious. I then had the tiramisu pebble, again delicious and a fresh take on a traditional desert. We were given fresh bread and dip prior to our main and a delicious lemon cake as a pre desert, all complimentary.
The views are fabulous and worth a visit just for that. A fabulous lunch and would recommend.
Excellent place
Excellent food - taste, presentation and creativity. Tastefully decorated place with a view to the sea (a default in Amalfi coast).
We had the rabbit doughnuts and sea urchin gelato (with provolone schialiatelli) as antipasti l, then lamb bites and mixed pasta (with potatoes) as the mains. There was also a โbenevenutiโ from the chef in the form homemade bread (shaped as colomba - Easter week). Creative food that tastes good.
We were satisfied.
Disappointing
This restaurant, like many in Ravello, enjoys a great sea view. Unfortunately, we were there on a cool night and struggled to keep warm, as it can be very draughty. We did not find the ambience to be very welcoming and felt that the staff were rather aloof. There was a good selection on the menu. I ordered deep fried rabbit bites, followed by loin of lamb. We both thoroughly enjoyed our starters but my wife did not enjoy her main course. She had โRavello duckโ but found it undercooked, such that it was difficult to chew, and ill-matched by a vinegary cabbage accompaniment. The wine list was extensive but they brought us the wrong vintage (by 5 years) wine, which was not apparent when the wine was opened. The wine was also too cold (for a reserve red).
