Samad Al Iraqi Restaurant Dubai Reviews from The Last Year
Good Food, Great place
Amazing food!!!!! Great ambiance. Great customer service. I've been to diff restaurants in Dubai but by far the food here is one of the best. You can really taste the quality of fresh ingredients. Even the fruits served during the iftar was of great quality. Overall great experience.
Iraqi style fish
What a great restaurant. Fish was amazing, can't miss this one. This is a special dish called " Masgoof" and you must call and reserve for this one. Service is truly the Iraqi hospitality. Decor is nice, ambience is relaxing, nice Iraqi music in the background. Definitely recommend it. I would love to go back. Excellent service quality. Restrooms are clean Valet and parking available Keep up the good work from the busboy to managers are all great. Highly recommended 👌
Strong option surrounding Dubai Fountain
Pretty satisfied with this restaurant given its proximity to Dubai Fountain! The food was actually quite good, which can be hard to find near such a touristy spot. Service was fine but not outstanding.
Very bad
The worst restaurant I've ever been to. I didn't eat the food, I tasted it, it tasted bad very bad and the salmon was raw and I didn't eat anymore, and the very rude waitress saw me eating the bun you gave me at the beginning and while I was eating, she took the plate in front of me!!!!! Nh I recommend!Da
The qualities of a great waiter
Being a great waiter is not about serving well but providing an awesome experience, turning customers into regulars. A great waiter should greet customers with a smile, know the menu, have excellent listening and communication skills, repeat the order back to the customer to guarantee correct orders, have a friendly and upbeat demeanor, show courtesy and tact, and apologize for any complaints. A great waiter should earnestly desire to serve people and relate to the customers and regulars. A great waiter in a multicultural environment such as Dubai should naturally be able to communicate in English! Last night, our waiter at Samad Restaurant in Jumeirah lacked all these qualities. He decided not to explain the menu in English to my first-time Samad goer, a non-Arab speaking friend. A responsibility that landed on my plate. Our waiter’s body language showed nervousness and impatience and left the table until we figured out whether we ordered lamb or chicken, kebab or tikka. When he returned, we made the order explicit, repeating it three times in basic English to avoid any errors, especially the meat wrapping in the correct bread. The desire for today’s wrap was not the usual samoon nor khubz but a thin saj bread. The Arab-speaking friend at our table also repeated the order to our waiter in Arabic. We also wanted an eggplant dish. For this one, I had to explain in English to my Arab-speaking friend, who had to translate it into Arabic for the waiter. Still, the waiter did not want to bother to understand, explain, or make a recommendation. As a result, we did not order the eggplant. Albeit the translations, the chicken kebab came wrapped in a huge khubz, making it difficult to bite the disproportionate combination, leading me from the atrium where we sat inside the restaurant in search for our waiter. He did not bother apologizing, blaming the kitchen for the error, while bringing the new order late, keeping his rude, frustrated, ignorant demeanor. After the incident, he never came back to our table to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction or if we needed anything else. We even had to ask for complimentary tea and sweets. Samad Al Iraqi is unquestionably a destination restaurant with great food and quality. But with waiters like ours on a Saturday night who lack empathy, communication, language, and social skills, it is a great disappointment to repeat customers. After all, waiters are the representatives of the establishment they work for, keeping in mind that their goal is to provide a memorable experience to their customers and regulars.
Amazing food & service.
Amazing food, gracious servers, lovely atmosphere. Everything about this place is wonderful. The food was out of this world.
First Class Eats!
I assume this is a very Authentic Iraqi Restaurant given the high quality of food and attention to detail from the staff. Food presentations where phenomenal and the staff was very accommodating. I was quickly made to feel at home after placing my order and receiving personal input from my waiter. I plan to return with friends on Friday to celebrate another fine year of sales.
Very good food and service.
Really nice restaurant. Service was very fast, food was very yummy, one of the best hummus dishes I tried. The staff is very nice and they looked after us. We were 8. (Super for celebration and friends dinner/ family get togethers - babies are welcome too). We had the fresh water fish which was huge, some mixed grills and appetizers, delicious! The kebab was super tender and delicious. Will go back for sure!
A must do in Dubai
Great experience and very welcoming staff. Good was delicious especially the bread. So traditional with a very tasty. The combination of the welcoming staff and tasty food were a great assist to enjoy the evening with friends
f you are in Dubai and you want to enjoy a great fresh water fish you need to look no further than the Samad al Iraqi...
This is the second time that we had Lunch at the: Samad al Iraqi Restaurant and for sure it will not be our last! Each time we return it seems the food is getting tastier and the service is getting faster. Samad al Iraqi Restaurant is most famous for its’ fresh BBQ Iraqi River Fish. They have a special barbeque area only used to BBQ this special fish. Now the down side it normally takes over 45 minutes to cook. So this trip my son pre-ordered this special fish and when we arrived to the restaurant it was ready. They give each guest a nice bowl of very flavorsome Lentil Soup and then we ordered a nice Fatoush Salad and our other main dishes. Everything came together including the fresh BBQ Fish. All the food was simply scrumptious and very delicious, especially the BBQ Fish. If you are in Dubai and you want to enjoy a great fresh water fish you need to look no further than the Samad al Iraqi Restaurant. But, do what we did, pre-order the fish first and by the time you arrive to the restaurant it should be ready to enjoy. Enjoy your next meal…
Truly amazing Iraqi cuisine
Very delicious genuine homemade Iraqi cuisine. One of the very best dolma dishes I have ever had to date. Great view of Khalifa tower and the fountain. Very reasonable priced too.
