One of the must-do-things I look forward to, when coming back to Ibiza
We come to Ibiza every year and the Secret Garden is always one of our dearest places to come to! We´ve been there with family, with friends or just as an in-love-couple: the Secret Garden never disappoints. The location is the best starting point for a night out in town, "best" because the place has a splendid private-feeling along with a gorgeous view. The food is excellent, the staff and Angela, are super attentive and cordial. I´ll invite Paco & Ramin this year for their birthday ;-)
Be the first to ReplyNice closing dinner (10 persons)
We were traveling as a group of 10 and chose Secret Garden / Angelo's as the location to have our farewell dinner. The service is good and the food even better. The tapa's as starter were all very well made. For dinner most of us had the duck. A nice dish that you could bake to your own liking on a sizzling hot plate. The only disappointment we had was that there was only one serving of salmon left, so one person in the group had to choose something else. So he went for the Cod that was also great so no harm there. All in all a nice place to go to, with a nice view over the city/up tot the walls of Dalt Vila.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Birthday dinner
My partner and I visited secret garden a couple of nights ago for my birthday dinner and I must say I was blown away. Possibly the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever been to, the setting is stunning, at the top of Ibiza town tucked away, amazing views of the gorgeous Ibiza town. I love Ibiza town anyway it’s one of my favourite places but I’m so happy to find this little hidden gem. We were greeted by a lovely man who looked after us the whole night, he was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and served in good time. Very good portion size. I recommend the cod or the duck. If you’re looking for a romantic setting in a couple or just a lovely private restaurant for you and your family and friends this is the place to go. I’ll 100% be back. I still haven’t stopped talking about it since I left.
Be the first to ReplyAverage meal at a high price.....Just didn’t get it!!
We went to Secret Garden after deciding to spend a night out in Ibiza Town. We’d looked on TA and this place looked just the thing we were after. It’s tucked away but still not too difficult to find. It’s a lovely setting on a rooftop but we were surprised that when we got there there was only 2 other people in there. The waiter was very nice and we were served efficiently; as you’d expect with a near empty restaurant!! We started with nachos smothered in cheese with various dips to share which was nice enough but probably impossible to get wrong. But to be fair it came in good time and was just what we wanted. Then it went downhill I’m afaid. My wife ordered cod and I ordered beef cheeks on a bed of hummus. The waiter came out and told us the chef wouldn’t serve the cod as he wasn’t happy with it. Fair enough but a little odd in a near empty restaurant. It wasn’t a problem though and my wife chose the salmon with mashed potato. When the food arrived it looked and smelt nice enough, but the salmon was about 5 minutes over cooked which after trying I agreed with. It had completely dried out. Also the mashed potato was lumpy; surely it’s basic stuff to get ‘lump free’ mash! Now onto my meal. I found it a very odd combination. Hot beef cheeks in a hot gravy on a bed of stone cold hummus. It actually tasted quite nice but the whole dish was cold within a couple of minutes. It just seemed a very odd thing to put hot food on top of cold food. Normally we’d have sent both dishes back but we were hungry as we’d saved ourselves for the meal so just decided to eat it anyway. We both left feeling very disappointed as we had high expectations for what was not a cheap meal at all.....about €80 with a couple of drinks. Maybe we just visited on an off night as this can happen and it has some excellent reviews, but personally I wouldn’t bother going back.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing restaurant in an amazing town.
Visited this brilliant little restaurant having stumbled across it whilst exploring the beautiful town. We arrived completely unanounced (a large group of 6 adults and 5 children) and the staff could not be more helpful in finding us a table with a lovely view. They were very accommodating in sorting out something for the children to eat and cooked them a meal which wasn't on the menu. The food was beautiful and very reasonably priced. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff were attentive and the location and view was stunning. This made it the best meal of our holiday. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant and i will definitely return on my next trip.
