Went for my birthday.
Service was good. I would go back for the eggplant Parmesan and the polenta any day. We also had calamari, just ok, salmon asked for medium it was overcooked, fungi truffle cream pasta has waaaaayyy too much truffle oil. I couldn't taste anything else.

Delicious!! Completely gluten free Italian restaurant that has a great menu. Our waiter was extremely nice & accommodating with special requests! If you have a gluten allergy, make sure to check this place out if you're visiting nyc.

Our meal was absolutely incredible! Four of us dined--two with gluten allergies and two without. The guests without allergies enjoyed the meal as thoroughly as we did. My wife loves arancini and said this was the best she's ever had. We actually got a second order of it because we all loved it so much. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious and something we hadn't had before. It was lovely to eat a Caesar salad with good croutons! For our entrees, we enjoyed fettuccine bolognese, lasagna, gnocchi, and carbonara. Everyone beyond pleased with their meals and the service. Ana and Buna were our servers and they were fantastic! They were out of the wine we wanted and they suggested an alternative on special that was perfect. Ana and Buna were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and nice. They elevated the already amazing dining experience. I can't wait to visit again and go back!

She is celiac and felt amazingly safe and comfortable in this restaurant. The staff is attentive, the food is delicious, and the hostess squeezed us into a very busy Saturday night. We are very grateful. We highly recommend this delicious restaurant. Thank you for an incredible evening.

I remember this place from 2015 and it's so wonderful to see how popular it's grown. The fact I can eat authentic gluten free food with no cross contamination is beyond special. I suggest the espresso martini, lasagna and tiramisu!!!

Everything about the restaurant is fantastic! If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The food, service, and ambience are amazing. There are so many dishes we love here. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent meal and amazing service by Ana here tonight for our family of 5. It's been a long time since my daughter could enjoy a good basket of bread on the table and order anything off the menu. We tried a variety of apps (calamari, ceasar, caprese) and entrees (gnocchi, chicken parm, chicken Milanese) and all were great - the gluten lovers in the family all really enjoyed their meals too. Desserts were awesome and cocktails were too. We will absolutely be back - can you open a location in Philly please?!

Drinks were good and it was a nice treat to be able to eat everything on the menu. But the food was good, not great. The calamari and rigatoni was great. But would recommend on passing on the gnocci and chicken parm.

I've been celiac for about eight years now, and have been wanting to visit this restaurant as I've heard great things! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner, and it was amazing. We had Fried calamari, spaghetti, carbonara, and lamb. Everything was presented so professionally and tasted even better!! We both got a strawberry margarita for a drink, and thought it was delicious. The staff was very friendly, and were more than willing to answer any question or tell you about the food choices. I do recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is a little bit on the smaller side. Over a while we enjoyed Everything about this lovely restaurant and I can't wait to come back!!! my boyfriend is not gluten-free and he said everything tasted absolutely delicious
Be the first to ReplyThe service and food was phenomenal.
An all gluten free restaurant has been needed for a long time! The home made pasta and gluten free cannolis were a few of our favorites. This is a must in NYC.

Delicious food, great ambiance and really incredible service! The food came out so quick and was SO flavorful. We had the tiramisu for desert which really shined and espresso martinis. Our server Arda was always there to check in with us and was extremely welcoming and helpful when we asked about choices for dinner. That you Arda, see you again!!!

As a non GF person, I thought everything was super delicious! Very good service, Not too expensive, huge portions! I would definitely recommend to anyone that is GF! We got bread, cauliflower, risotto and espresso martinis! And yes it's Cash or Amex. There's an ATM inside. I would recommend!!

I have been a Senza Gluten fan ever since I moved to the city 6 years ago and found out that I am celiac/gluten free. I was excited to find a dedicated gluten free restaurant that's serves all of the fan favorite Italian pasta/meat dishes that a person could want. My latest experience (and I am attributing this to new ownership, whether that be the case or not), was incredibly disappointing as I felt like the portion sizes for our main dishes were cut in half since our last visit almost 10 months ago. I am specifically referring to the Chicken Parm dish which breaks the bank at around $40 for a plate of half a piece of chicken and spaghetti. The prices are incredibly high and although I have always considered this a high end restaurant for a special occasion, I am a believer that the bang is not worth the buck here anymore. What used to be a 9/10 meal for me has now become a 4/10 and I likely will not be returning anytime soon. There are plenty of delicious gluten free pasta/Italian options around the city for 1/2 the cost of this meal.

Cute decor and nice waitress, but that's where the positives end. The tomato sauce was acidic and the meal was highly overpriced. You can get gf pasta at most restaurants, delicious and while not breaking the bank. I will not be coming back here.
Be the first to ReplyWent here with a friend who can't eat gluten.
We were seated at a tiny table by the window with legit maybe fifteen inches of space between the table and the back of the chairs, with no room to move the chairs. I'm 6'2 and was uncomfortable, but an overweight person legit would not have fit. No place to hang jackets, etc. so half my space was taken up by my winter coat that I basically had to sit on so it wouldn't touch the floor. Super odd, the waiter told us immediately that they only take cash or Amex but that there is an atm in the basement for our convenience. I've never in my life heard of a restaurant taking cash or Amex, usually it's Amex that they don't take... when dishes are $40 average (plus drinks appetizers etc), this is ridiculous. It's 2023, you've got to figure they are doing something shady to not take visa/Mastercard. Luckily I have an Amex so it wasn't an issue, but how bizarre. I got the chicken parm (casual $39) which was so greasy I could only eat half of it before feeling sick. My friend got some pasta with cream sauce and mushrooms which she allegedly liked. Despite the entrees being expensive for the quality, they charge $5 for a tiny tiny basket of gluten free bread which tastes like gluten free bread from c town. If the chicken parm (which tasted like chicken parm from my local pizza place that is fifteen dollars) is $39, you'd think they could throw in a few miniature slices of bread for free like any other Italian restaurant. To be clear, my complaint isn't about the price, it's about the quality for the price (and the limited ways you're able to pay). Staff was nice but it took like fifteen minutes to get our check back once I gave them my card, which was odd. This is another place (out of many) that make it seem like they're doing you a favor by being open/serving you, and you should be happy and thankful for whatever you get.

The service was wonderful--we were seated quickly and asked to order the entire meal at the start. We leaned into the appetizers and they came out quickly. The server was helpful and made sure there was space to accommodate all the food comfortably at the table. Not pictured are the bruschetta and my drink. We ate the bruschetta too quickly. My one thing was I could tell the bread and pasta were gluten free--I've been to other places where they seem to match the texture closer to gluten full food. Also the option for vegetarians in the mains were sparse. I wish I could have at the eggplant parmesan as a meal, it was SO GOOD.The tiramisu was a DREAM. I'll be thinking about it for days.

My fiancé has celiac & we've been curious to try this place for a while now. We came with his parents and were very happy with the entire experience: warm friendly greeting at the door, with a romantic, rustic atmosphere. And no worries about any kind of gluten contamination at all - yay.We had a lovely bottle of Sangiovese, & everything we ordered was wonderful & beautifully presented: Caesar salad, gnocchi ai funghi, the seafood pasta & veal chop (last 2 were specials of the day)Our server, Arda, was exceptional: super friendly, with an absolutely beautiful kind presence & warm smile. He was so helpful in making menu choices, gave us very helpful tips, & made us feel extremely welcomed & comfortable.Big thanks to you, Arda, & the other servers who surrounded us with exceptional service and care.

I had a really wonderful meal here! I wasn't sure what to expect because there are quite a few reviews that described the food as bland or subpar but that was not my experience at all. I had excellent chicken parm and all of my friends really enjoyed their food. The interior and atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had to wait a bit for our table because the previous diners were overstaying their welcome but the staff made up for it with complimentary champagne and also comped one of our bottles of wine. I will definitely be back!

I had the lasagna, it was pretty good considering it was gluten free. It's a pretty cute spot, service was good. No complains. If you're looking for a gluten free restaurant I would definitely recommend.

Criminally overpriced! Our meal for four was over $300 and we didn't order alcohol or wine. We each had an entree and shared a couple apps, including lasagna, two pasta dishes, and a salmon entree. Absolutely nothing was delicious or notable. The pastas were so mediocre I couldn't believe it. The food across the board was bland. They only accept cash or amex which is verrry coolgiven how expensive the food is. Won't be back.

I have serious food allergies which include onions and garlic. While the food didn't make me sick it was just bland. There are so many other spices that can be used to enhance the flavor when onion and garlic can't be used. Aside from the food the service was terse bordering on abrasive. Not worth the gluten free option on the past. And yes cash and American Express only are a huge inconvenience for out of towners.
