Shooters Waterfront Fort Lauderdale Reviews from The Last Year
Great food, service and ambiance! Very busy, but the wait
Great food, service and ambiance! Very busy, but the wait staff and kitchen kept up very well.

This was on the water taxi route so I got off the taxi to eat lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There were no tables but the outside bar was first come first serve. I got the Hollywood sushi roll. It was shrimp tempura with lump crab meat on top. It was so good!
Best waterfront dining
We recently rented a boat for a day on the intracoastal and as we traveled south from Pompano we saw a beautiful restaurant on the water. We knew we had to try it and I’m so glad we did. It could not have been any better! It was so good it has become our favorite “go to”. The food is always good, the service attentive, the prices reasonable and atmosphere is exceptional. I love the shooters salad with salmon added. Shooters is a must have on your list of places to go eat!
Shooters is the happening place for brunch.
Make a reservation ahead. However, one of the reasons this place is only voted average for me is because the last time I visited this place, I had a reservation for 11am and was told I had to wait an extra 45 mins once I showed up for my reservation. This happened to me twice and because is this I won't be back any time soon. Service was good but they were so busy, it wasn't great. The view is nice if you can get a spot by the water. The food the last two times I visited was very over rated and not worth what I paid. Over cooked eggs Benedict and the potatoes were really soft. I do like their salad selection and the drinks were okay. $25 isn't bad for bottomless mimosas. A decent place but not my cup of tea anymore sadly.
A perennial favorite for years.
Our visit on 5/8 will be our last. The women screaming f-bombs in the valet area should have been a red flag but it only went downhill from there. The 3 people at the host stand couldn't put down their cell phones to acknowledge us. Made our way to the bar and felt lucky to find two empty stools. We were not lucky enough to have anyone take our order. The bartender and bar back did not make eye contact or even acknowledge us. The patrons at the bar were already loaded so they seemed pretty happy. The host did thank us when we left - clueless......
First time visiting Ft.
Lauderdale and eating at Shooters did not disappoint. Shooters is a lovely restaurant that has outdoor and indoor seating options. You can't beat the waterfront views and better yet, the food was excellent. Our server, Jalen, took excellent care of us and was spot on with some menu recommendations. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was excellent. My husband had the Baked Seafood Pasta which was rich, warm and comforting. I had the Seared Brown Butter Scallops and Shrimp which was outstanding. We will definitely be back on our next to Ft Lauderdale.
Our server was Micheal and the service was amazing.
The food is great fresh. The cooks are friendly at their weekend buffet and the ambience along with waterfront view are amazing.
Food, service, and location/ambiance were top notch.
Our server, Mo, was amazing and gave us some great suggestions. The best suggestion was to order the mussels appetizer. Absolutely amazing!!! Thanks for the suggestions and for the great service! We ordered: Mussels (12/10), fried calamari (9/10), baked seafood pasta (10/10), grouper (9/10), shrimp fettuccini (10/10) and half-baked chicken (10/10). We'd surely recommend this spot and come back next time we are in the area.
The best food I've had on vacation.
Ever. Service was wonderful. And eating outside was the best!
The vibe, food, view, service, and atmosphere are all
The vibe, food, view, service, and atmosphere are all fantastic. The brunch is incredible, but that seafood pasta is absolutely irresistible.
Reserved inside, but were seated outside.
Our group of 10 were charged 18% tip -not unusual. However, there was a spot on the bill for a tip , & I added one ( after 2 martinis I was not at my sharpest). They said nothing& gave no receipts, to hide their dishonesty. . Burger was inedible. Fries not cooked. No bread on table. We passed thru the restaurant & the inside was as hot as the outside!! What a dump!! AVOID THIS RIPOFF!!!
Sad decline, not the same Shooters we have loved for years,
So disappointing! We have been going to shooters for brunch, lunch and dinner for the last 10 years and it was our “go to”, but yesterday we had brunch there for the first time this year and the decline was so sad to see. Almost as soon as we sat down, my wife and I looked at each other and said, “what is going on here, perhaps the management has changed” to the point that half way through the meal we asked our server if the management had changed recently, which she confirmed, was the case. By the time we were seated we had been told by three people that there is a 2 hour time limit on the table, it seemed that was the most import message they could convey, more important than welcoming the guests, my wife and I are not people who take two hours to eat lunch, but by the time we were being reminded by the server about the time limit, like we were deaf, I was “ yeah, we got it, 2 hrs, you are eating into our 2hrs by telling us over and over again.” It had the effect on me that I now wanted to use the table for ever last second of the time, but we dismally failed and bailed after an hour and a half! The music was just abysmal, for years they would have live music on a Sunday, they now have a DJ, who seems to just want to play reggae and steel pan music, with the odd shout out for a birthday! It was cringeworthy and irritating, shooters has never been a Caribbean vibe location, and if that’s what I wanted I would go to Margaritaville! Really disappointing ambience, the outside bar and great seating area are gone. It’s clear that the new management are all about the bottom line and profit margins, prices are up, quality, ambience and service are down. Whereas before the bottomless mimosas were fantastic, they would leave a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket at the table and it was champagne, now they come around with a screw top bottle of sparkling wine to top you as and when they remember, my mimosa hit the bottom and stood empty all to often! All in all it was a very disappointing experience if compared to the shooters we knew and loved, but I guess if you were going there for the first time, you would probably be impressed, I only hope that the greed that is driving the current management is worth it for them as I am sure many regulars will stop going and they will be relying on new clients to fill the restaurant on a strictly 2 hour limit! We will not be going again, it’s too sad to see the decline of a much loved establishment like shooters!
Very poor service
This place is lovely. On the waterfront, watching the boats go by in the beautiful sunshine. Should be a lovely experience. Sadly not. First having to beg for an outside table, it was half empty! Then a server who was abrupt and verging on rude, especially when he realised we only wanted a drink and a snack. He couldn't bring the bill quick enough. On the plus side, delicious cocktails and flatbread. In conclusion, sort yourselves out Shooters! There are plenty of other places for tourists and locals to spend their money. We won't be back.
Must try Shooters if you are visiting Ft. Lauderdale
The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service was great here. I am looking forward to coming back the next time I am in Fort Lauderdale. The waiter who helped me out while I was here checked on me often, was very personable, and gave me good recommendations on appetizers, entrees, and drinks. I appreciate that they gave me a great experience here even while I was dining on my own on my solo trip. I had a couple margaritas which were both good, had the calamari, which had great tasting dipping sauce, and ordered a goat cheese and beet salad which was a huge portion. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious and the presentation was 10/10.
Shoot....going downhill!
We used to love coming here but the last year and a half has been very disappointing with no end in sight! It appears that excessive greed is getting the better of management while all they want to do us push the cattle through the doors. Management has virtually eliminated all of the outdoor bar seating, except for a few seats around the fire pit, how long will they last? Their promo photos show lovely circular wicker seating arrangements that were super fun for groups...no longer, they are dumped in a parking lot and it looks like they are heading for the dump. So if you take a look around, you will likely figure out that they have squashed excessive numbers of large tables into the old bar space which made up about a quarter of the outside area. Now there is very little room to walk between the tables or to pull your chair away from the table without bumping into someone seated behind you. Shooters now appears to be specializing in huge groups 20, 30, 40 guests or more at a table. I guess they are shooting for the tour bus business! This trip, our evening seated at the bar was totally unremarkable as patrons looking for a seat were crowded around the bar and being rather pushy. This was never an issue before they eliminated all of the outdoor bar seating. The bar itself was horrendously understaffed with two bartenders attempting to service the whole area. The food arrived cold and missing some ingredients and it took forever to replace the faulty dinners. One party had a hamburger that came without ketchup. She asked the bartender for some and was told that she was too busy to deal with it. Interesting that the bartender has to go to the kitchen for ketchup (while the barback was not overly busy), why don't they have condiments at the bar? I am wondering if they have a new manager that is trying to boost the numbers without any regard for patrons, especially us year-rounders that keep the place in business during the summer? So we will try Shooters again but this is a warning that there are other nice restaurants in the area that appreciate their customers!
4th or 5th time and still love this place
We had a 630 reservation on a Saturday and was seated early. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly. The appetizers (sushi and wings) were delightful. The food (salmon and mahi mahi) was scrumptious. And then the service...for some reason every time we come the service is fantastic. Our server NIC was knowledgeable, friendly, personable and attentive. Needless to say we'll be back a 5th/6th time next time we're in FLL.

This place is always amazing great views great food very casual and great service.. The staff are always very happy, which says a lot about the employer happy staff happy customers
Food avg ,Cheap with the booze.
svc OK.Problem was several dogs hanging out at the bar .One woman ,a regular had scruffy looking dog perched on the bar ,the rest on chains with one trying to mount my leg. One lady had parrot on her shoulder . Bar looked like a Menagerie.
Had a horrible experience here.
Made a reservation in advance, we weren't seated until 40 mins after. Our waitress was very rude and not attentive the entire time. From when our first dish arrived, we were served food without any napkins or silverware. All of our dirty plates were still at the table as we switched courses. This will be my first and last time going here. The service truly ruined our experience. I don't typically complain, but the service was so bad it ruined how good the food was.
Good but prices a bit higher
Everything was fine! The food was good and we sat right by the water. We parked in the parking garage opposite, which was much cheaper. Prices were a bit higher than normal

We came here for an early lunch and the views, service and food did not disappoint! We were seated at a beautiful outside table and greeted by a lovely and friendly server. We didn't notice the kids grilled cheese came with tomatoes until it placed down and my daughter made a face. The server quickly grabbed it and had the kitchen make a new one, which was very generous and kind. The adults had the tuna poke bowl, spicy tuna roll and Hollywood roll. All were delicious!

This was our first time in Fort Lauderdale and shooters was recommended by a friend. The food was amazing!! probably the best calamari we ever had . we went for lunch. I got the avacado toast with fried egg and arugula salad. my husband got the steak and potatoes. The portion sizes were huge for both meals . our waiter , Isaac A was very attentive, friendly and after talking with him we realized he was from Jersey and we were from Philadelphia! he was very knowledgeable of the menu as well. ambience was beautiful! loved being on the water and seeing all the boats drive my. we cannot wait to go back!!! Good luck , Issac A!! Shannon and Joe Philadelphia

This place is amazing! It was easy to make an online reservation and the food was incredible. Definitely would return here!
Really great service by TJ at the bar.
Drinks were amazing, food was amazing and fresh, desert was awesome. Fun place
Have not been here in a while.
This is one of those long established Ft Lauderdale spots that you just have to experience. Location, location, location. Sitting on the intracoastal, you can sit inside or outside, enjoying the sunshine from the shade and watching the boats go by or pull up to dock. Make a reservation! Even on a random Thursday afternoon, this place fills up fast! There is valet parking, and service is swift and polite from the valet to the servers. We didn't have a reservation and were offered a table inside or a seat at the bar with very short wait time. We opted for a table inside which worked out nicely as we were seated near the open sliding doors, able to get the sunshine, fresh air and a bit of the outdoors. We all ordered the margaritas which were just ok for me. Note I opted to skip the offered floater . Next time I'll be sure to have it as I think it would have improved the drink overall. As we ended up with dinner plans, we opted for appetizers and dessert here. We had the chili wings, crispy calamari, and the caprese flatbread. All of these were delicious and our group had trouble ranking them. In order of flavors, id choose the calamari, wings, flatbread. For dessert we tried the key lime baked Alaska - we all decided this was fantastic from presentation to flavor!
Worth a trip.
The place is gorgeous. Service is excellent. Views are lovely. Food: Salads are HUGE and delicious. Great to split with people Salmon was amazing but if you're coming and comparing it to Miami, NYC, or some of the more amazing seafood places in the keys- don't do that lol. Drinks are on point. Had a variety of them and all equally great. I'm not crazy about the food scene in Fort Lauderdale but this place is solid. Id certainly come back.
Good lunch spot
Ample bar seating with water views. Great staff. Good food with minimal wait. We enjoyed the calamari, a flatbread and the watermelon salad while watching a game on one of the multiple TVs.
Go there!
The food, service and view were INCREDIBLE! I know a burger sounds boring but omg we are still talking about it so good! My family had po boy and a curry shrimp all fabulous!
Scoot away
We had been here twice before but not in the last two years. 8 45 reservation was honored but no parking as they shut down valet at 8 30 Seated at table (3 in our party) which was dirty, eventually after asking they sent someone to clean. We all ordered clam chowder which was good. Minor problem they did not provide any utensils or napkins. After asking they finally brought over set ups. Dinner was terrible. Two of us had crab cakes which were served cold, one was barely warmed, the other literally cold from the refrigerator. Sent them back and the replacement was cold again Other member of party had salmon which was not very well prepared We hoped to salvage something and wanted to order dessert and coffee. Waitress disappeared, finally tracked her down and she advised that the kitchen was now closed and no dessert or coffee would be served. Quite surprising since restaurant was still 60% full. They have obviously changed management at least at the front desk. No body watches the floor to manage the process Two tables near us had similar experience
Yacht Watching and Drinks
I was here with a LARGE group and the staff was so accommodating and fast for the amount that was ordered. I highly recommend any of the apps/small plates. Shooters is really fun for different events. You can come here for a nice lunch/dinner, on a date, or for a party. If you come at night it is a perfect spot to post up with friends/meet up with others for a few drinks. Located right on the water, Shooters is worth the stop.
Location location location FAB
We had booked an outside table but were late due to traffic and table was gone but they managed to sit us at a decent inside one My son and daughter had seafood which they said was very good I had rib eye steak and potatoes - steak far too fatty and the potatoes were cold We had bread and butter pudding Caribbean style - very different from UK one but was very good and presentation fabulous So only 4 out of 5 for food Service was quite slow and had to ask several times for drinks - it was busy so maybe not enough staff on I would visit again as the actual Restaurant and location were fabulous - def recommend getting outside table as the view and setting is amazing
Stale food and low quality service
We were disappointed this time around at shooters brunch. We sat down by the water. The ambiance was great, because it was beautiful outside. The server was very polite, she got us coffee and water first. We ordered after getting our coffees. Our order consisted of blue crab Egg Benedict’s, a western omelette, a french toast to share and french fries to share. A few minutes after this we got the french toast. At first, I’m thinking the rest of the food is going to come right after…… nope…… it took like 20 minutes or more for the food to come. The order was incorrect, no big deal on that we just sent back what we did not order, and started eating. The eggs and omelette were okay. However, the french toast had been sitting there and it was stale by the time the food came to the table. I asked the server to get me a fresh french toast since it had been sitting there. It must have been for another table, or maybe a mistake that it came sooo quick. And then the french toast she brings me back is stale, hard and cold in the center. As if people won’t know you just hit it up and sent it out, as if maybe the customer at the table has no experience in the business. But ok, I had a bit of it and left the rest. Ofc the check came and it was wrong, no manager came by nothing was done about the bad experience. Mark came by the table and grabbed the salt and pepper shaker to bring it to another table. No sanitizing it first or anything. Shooter has gone down in quality by a lot. My partner had asked him to do something about the birds sitting on the table after he had just taken our salt and pepper shaker, we did not think it would be a big deal to ask. And he acted like he was too good for the job or something. Come on guys, people are coming to your restaurant to spend their hard earned money on their days off. It is unacceptable to offer this kind of experience for the prices you’re charging for breakfast.
Must Go
My friends and I had brunch on a Sunday based on recommendation from hotel staff. My friends said best calamari they ever had and my chicken pesto flatbread was amazing. Bottomless mimosas was a big hit at the table. May not be the cheapest but the quality and atmosphere is worth it!!!! You won’t be disappointed.
Do yourself a favor
had a reservation at this place an hour after the reservation check-in spent over $100 at the bar. Then when they notified that the table was ready, they gave me a table deep inside the restaurant in the bathroom section. The hostess was extremely rude The check-in process was less than convenient and we were told that that was the only table option we were going to get so we left And wasted our time. Trying to have a good dining experience. Don’t waste your time with the reservation and check out other local options.
Outstanding, Even in the Rain
We had Sunday brunch reservations and wanted to sit outside, but it was raining, so we sat in a booth in the bar area. We had excellent service from the bartender, who gave us great recommendations. We started with Bloody Mary’s and then had an omelet with crab and shrimp and Huevos Rancheros. The Huevos came with 2 cheese empanadas that were some of the best I’ve ever eaten! They also offer a brunch buffet for $50, but we weren’t hungry enough to tackle that, so just ordered off the menu. Reservations are a must, but you can sit at the bar or some high top tables down by the outside area on a first come, first serve basis. If you plan to go without reservations, plan to get there early because all the seats were taken by 11:30.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
