Great Dinner!
Wonderful fresh menu. Everything we ordered was perfect! It was SO GOOD! The service was also friendly, helpful and just right. A great night out for two tired parents! Relaxing, not loud, good food - Thank you!

Went here recently for dinner with adult family members. Its odd because the restaurant looks upscale in the interior, but has average hamburgers on the menu. The salads were fine. The hamburger one family member had was good. The fish entree was fine, but the redfish portion seemed small for the price. The dish a third person had was not remotely memorable. The service was fine. The desert crumble was good. The food was not up to the promise of the interior decorating.

I understand that sometimes restaurant week isn't the best food that a restaurant has to offer, with that being said I found their restaurant meal a little lackluster compared to some of the other restaurants on the schedule for the a $49 three course meal.
Mussels to start with were quite nice. For mains, the pork was cooked superbly, however It was over seasned with course salt at the end (even my partner who is salt junkie found it a way too much).
Desserts were nothing much to write home about, brownie was nice but not anything worth remembering and the bread pudding was rather dry. Probably didn't help that the kitchen is completely open so I watched the staff microwave each dessert all night long.
Service was excellent, and the wine list was interesting. I may be open to trying this place again but it certainly didn't woo me on restaurant week.
If you like watching a restaurant kitchen this is definitely the place to go, I found that quite interesting. I would be hesitant to come here if you are hard of hearing because it is quite a noisy environment.
Wonderful dinner last night
We have not been to Salum since the pandemic. I forgot how good it is. The paella was the best I've ever had, as was the gazpacho. The Black Manhattan is really excellent, if you want to reduce the sweetness of vermouth. My wife's grouper was perfectly cooked. And the service was excellent, in spite of being short staffed.

We had a very nice anniversary meal despite the weird covid mask situation which makes it hard to understand the staff. The food was very good, some of the best lamb I have ever had, the dishes were slightly salty but other than that I had no complaints. This is a nice little neighborhood spot for locals.

First time dining at this restaurant. It is well designed, simple but elegant. The food is excellent and the Chef/ owner Abraham is talented and hospitable.

Celebrated a friend's birthday and was my first time at the restaurant. The food was amazing, started with the Texas Goat Cheese and Fried Green Tomatoes. Scallops were perfectly cooked and Creme Brulee was magnificent and deliciously prepared. One of the best meals i have had the pleasure of enjoying. The Chef is the Owner, i believe and I noticed he greeted each table, welcomed almost every guest and just had such a presence in both the kitchen and restaurant atmosphere. Only thing i did notice was our server was a bit nonchalant, he was not rude just noticeably not attentive to our table. But he did not impact our meal or experience thankfully.

We’ve eaten at Salum many times and have never been disappointed. The menu changes often and there is always something creative to go along with more traditional choices. The food is always well prepared and presented, but never fussy. My lobster with summer vegetables was a delightful warm weather treat. Wine is reasonably priced with a good selection and the service is just right. Abraham Salum has managed to keep the same group of professionals for a long time and that makes a real difference in the overall experience. Highly recommended.

Salum is the most welcoming, comfortable and delicious place to dine in Dallas. The owner and chef, Abraham, is very gregarious, warm and friendly. He always does his best to speak to customers to say hello, ask what was ordered and what we thought of the different dishes. The manager, Dwayne, is just as personable and welcoming.
The restaurant is classy and beautiful. The service is always fantastic. And the good and bad thing about the food is that about half of the menu changes every month ... so there is always something new to look forward to, but if you find something you really like, it may disappear at the end of the month!
The cheese plate is fantastic. The goat cheese and garlic appetizer is also wonderful. There is something on the entree menu for everyone. I especially love Abraham’s use of specific ingredients and recipes I have never heard of before .... he is the ultimate international cuisine chef, with mastery of dishes from all over the world.
This restaurant is perfect for a couples date or for a group of friends or business associates. Give it a try for your next birthday, anniversary, or just a regular night. I’m sure you want regret it.
Birthday meal
Visited on Saturday for my brothers 60th birthday and had a fantastic meal.
Food, drinks and service amazing and very attentive. I had a mixed starter which we shared including fried green tomatoes, goat cheese and baked elephant garlic and pate. Then I had lamb cutlets with mushroom bread pudding and jus. Served with green vegetables and jus so delicious. Pudding was 4 large squares of chocolate and cherry brownie which I had to take half of home as I was so full. My brother had scallops and Creme brûlée with a candle!!
Made my favourite drink of margarita so I verywas happy!
Thank you Mary for your attentive service, it was soooo worth the trip from the U.K. for this meal. We will be back x
Great everything!!!

The beef culotte excellent, the mules great, fish and chips...
The place is very nice, open area, friendly service, etc...
Always an interesting menu
I've now been to Salum twice. Once about a year ago for lunch and just recently for a client dinner. Both times the menu was interesting and diverse, the food very well prepared and the service excellent.
