Best restaurant and steakhouse on Miami Beach with the best
Best restaurant and steakhouse on Miami Beach with the best views. Service was very fast. The burger, fries, salad, Mac & cheese, and mash potatoes are the best. Have been to this restaurant everytime l've been in Miami.

The views whether inside next to the window or outside are excellent. Service was outstanding and we had two people attending to our needs for food and drink. When my wife and I first got here we were thinking that the prices were very high, but for a top notch steak house with excellent service we got what we expected and the price was worth it. The Old Cuban cocktail was made to perfection and both steaks were ordered were some of the best we have ever tasted.

Excellent aged steaks in a beautiful setting next to the water. I was pleasantly surprised that the ambiance and the service was in synch. Make sure you ask for Fernando.

We didn't realize you couldn't sit at a small table on the water without ordering a full meal -- just wanted to have a couple of late afternoon drinks and maybe some appetizers with my daughter who was newly 21 and used to live in SoFi -- so booked a table for 5:30pm (not seeing any fine print about it, though I should have known since they are the only restaurant on the water in that spot in the best section of Miami Beach, so it's no surprise there is a "tax" to get a table with that view -- live and learn!;)-- our waiter was very nice about it and was going to let us order another round when I waived him over after finishing our drinks, but I said "Just get our check so you can have this table back! You have been so nice," and he said, "YOU are so nice!" and I left him a large tip on our two pricey drinks and we left. My daughter said "we beat the system and got to have a drink with the view!" Very much appreciated the waiter's kind exception to their rules so my bday girl could take in her old view on her bday trip, and we will definitely return some time for a dinner with that gorgeous view. What a spot!

For a very special date night, we made reservations at Smith & Wollensky -- and it was absolutely wonderful. Arguably one of the best steaks & desserts on South Beach! The staff were attentive, kind, and helpful in recommending wines/steaks. You cannot go wrong with any of the steaks or any of the sides - but let me tell you... the dessert -- you MUST order the Gigantic Chocolate Cake. "decadent, ten layer chocolate layer cake brushed with Baileys Irish Cream, chocolate mousse and covered with ganache" -- and it is massive!! The perfect shareable dessert.

We've been here a few times and to the New York location as well. Overall this place is a classic, the service and attention is always great. Sadly tho our last time here the food wasn't as great as before but the drinks were still good. I would like to think maybe that night the chef was just having a rough night. The ambiance was lovely as always.

.. I really enjoyed myself. Loved my waitress as she was nice and attentive! She went out of her way to make the little ones feel at home. To start we were there for late lunch and the weather was beautiful so we were happy that we were seated overlooking the park and boats passing by on the inlet. The seafood tower was delicious and very fresh. It is stone crab season and I was able to enjoy some before the season ends. The lobster roll was ok but I wouldn't get it again. The star of the show was the tomahawk ribeye. It was presented to us and cut up which was nice to experience. My son was in awe at the fire and smoke show that came with it. Overall we come here a few times a year for brunch and will continue to do so! One of my favorite views for lunch on the water in miami!

Best filet mignon I have ever had and their sauces are excellent! They have the most beautiful ocean view and service! It is not too loud and has the perfect setting! I love all of their food and waiters!
Be the first to ReplyMy friend found this place so I went.
Walk inside and its typical light lit steakhouse. Make sure you get reservations first. There's a lot of people in here. We were greeted as we walked in and taken to our table. This place is straight meat....butcher....all about steaks...and meat. I ordered Veal, Mac N Cheese, Whipped Potatoes & Appetizer Bacon, Dessert Chocolate Cake. Veal was good...Mac was good....Whipped Potatoes was good....Bacon was good....Chocolate Cake was good. I'd recommend this place to everyone.

Best seaside location. Love this restaurant, will come again.

Growing up in Miami, I've heard about Smith & Wollensky for years. I finally got the chance to try it and honestly was such a nice experience. The view wad absolutely beautiful with cruise ships passing by and people riding their bikes/walking their dogs. Ideally, I would have loved to sit outside but there was an extra hour wait. We sat inside by a window and it was still so beautiful. The staff was friendly and we had great service the whole time there. I got a dirty martini which was really good especially since I am picky with these! They give you warm bread to start with a whipped butter; so good! I ordered the filet mignon which was delicious. The meat was tender and extremely flavorful. I also tried the creme brûlée which was amazing! It comes with raspberries and is the perfect consistency. Overall, would really recommend this for a special occasion or if you are just trying to enjoy good food and beautiful views!

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I have never ordered a plate that I didn't love. If your looking for beef , seafood or even a nice view! This is the place.

Had the New York steak with macaroni that was amazing. My wife enjoyed her plate as well.

Marco & Miguel were highly attentive and friendly, especially Miguel. He was knowledgeable and made us laugh too. We had a reservation for 10 pm with a special request to sit by the water. We arrived and were asked to wait no more than 10 minutes for the table. Our dirty martinis were perfect, and we started with Oysters and Scallops which were perfect. I wanted to eat the entire plate of little bits of sweet potato, mushroom, and cranberries it came with. I had the Chilean Sea Bass which had great flavor and was a perfectly portioned dish. I scraped it clean.

Had dinner her Saturday night, we ate outside on the water which was absolutely beautiful with the water view. Our waiter was great, service and food not so good, we had to ask for our drinks twice, steak definitely was not up to smith and Wollensky standards potatoes came out under cooked sent them back they were obviously microwaved. This was a very disappointing meal and for a restaurant of this quality this is not acceptable.

I'm sad to write that this was one of the worst services I've ever received. We weren't in Miami for very long and I regret wasting one of our reservations here. We were seated near the water outside, which was beautiful but were completely neglected for half an hour. We stopped an older gentleman and asked for our server, to which he replied that he was our server? He laughed and told us that we hadn't been there for long...as if I didn't know what time we were seated for our reservation. We were not late. We were not exaggerating. It had been half an hour.Three tables that were seated after us were served before us. We ordered a few small dishes, a steak, a bottle of wine and dessert to share for three, with very slow and minimal service all night. We were abundantly patient, but the service was simply unacceptable and he just didn't care. The only time he was attentive was after we'd finished and was eager to take our signed check. The food was good though. The truffle mac and cheese was all of our favorites and the steak was cooked nicely. We may go back to a different location, but certainly not this one. If you're in Miami on vacation or banking on having great service, I'd recommend dining elsewhere. There are so many other options.
Be the first to ReplyBack to Smith and Wollensky for our usual vacation lunch
Back to Smith and Wollensky for our usual vacation lunch and cruise ship watching at this superb restaurant. Don't let the prices scare you, the restaurant is right on Miami's deep water channel and the view and outside dining is worth the money. I took a star off this visit. We were seated for lunch and ordered. Some time later, the waiter returned and said it was now dinner at significantly higher prices and said we needed to reorder. For such a classy restaurant, this was a bit classless. Still I would not miss this experience.

I had lovely anniversary lunch here! I had the green tea martini (delicious) scallops and lobster tail (amazing) and Brussel sprouts (meh). My boyfriend had the burger. It took a while for the food to come out but it was worth it. And the martini was strong so that helped with the wait.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is exceptional.
My filet was amazing, as well as the tuna tartare. Drinks were heavy on the pour which is always nice. My fiancé ordered a ribeye medium rare, it came out medium well. He kindly sent it back. Didn't take long for the second one to come out and it came out perfect. No big deal. I gave them 4 stars as our server was non-attentive and very slow. He came to our table once at the beginning of our dinner, did not come back once after that. We had to get his attention whenever he walked by our table to order anything. Took him 15 minutes from when we asked for the check to come back to us and when he did, he had forgotten it. For such a great restaurant with amazing views and amazing food, the service should be better. Overall good experience because the food is exceptional. You can't beat the views here.
Be the first to ReplyLove this place for special occasions.
The food is excellent and they give good quantities. We especially love the Angry Shrimp appetizer and split a rib eye steak and side salad or baked potato. It's more than enough unless you have a hefty appetite.
Be the first to ReplyVictor treated us so well.
Unfortunately the chef completely burnt out a steak. We felt bad about sending it back but regardless victor made the visit worth it. When you come here make sure you don't get the activated charcoal. Thanks victor we love you!!!
Be the first to ReplyFood is okay.
Ordered shrimp cocktail (it wasn't as fresh)Tuna tartare (was good), and salmon (over cooked even tho I specifically asked for it to be medium).Service wasn't bad. Outdoor seating was really nice since it was by the water. I wouldn't go back tho.

What's there not to love about Smith & Wollensky Amazing food, service and ambiance especially if you request outdoor seating... Smiths is definitely one of go to steak houses
Be the first to ReplyTonight's dinner was a disaster.
Reservations were at 7. Didn't get our entrees until almost nine. My Wagyu filet was not any better than a steak you would get at Longhorns. All the food, including the steaks and sides were served cold and underwhelming with the exception of the hash browns. The sea bass was just mush. Our guest sent it back. 20 mins to get a beverage to the table. There was vomit in the sink in one of the ladies rooms. And two drunk patrons were sprawled out drunk in chairs inside the establishment. Come on! Best thing about the place was the location. Landry Bros. need to pay this location a visit anonymously. We've been loyal customers for many years. No more!
