Straits Restaurant Santa Clara Reviews
My rating is between 3 to 4.
And I am still debating which one to pick. Came here for a happy hour because yard house was full. The dead vibe when entering might be a warning sign for its potential unpopularity. We ain't shooting for vibe just wanted to get out of the house
I agree with some of the points others have made.
I've always had a great time at Straits because of the ambience, the friendly servers, and the good music - it's a perfect after-work spot where everyone's already relaxed and ready to have fun. The food is pretty good, but honestly, n
Had a small low-key birthday at the place.
Food and ambiance was great, DJ has some killers. Just wished the service was faster so we had time to finish up and hit the dance floor. Had to wind up going somewhere else for that.

The food was decent but the bathroom was like a BART station bathroom - a sink and toilet covered with garbage bags, toilet paper everywhere (including all wadded up in the sink) and I saw a cockroach in there, which means they're in the kitchen

So what do you do when a once great restaurant just fails in every category. Other than the corn fritters that have always been good. They brought Honey Walnut Prawns that were over cooked, Caviar blinis that were stale and tasted old and worst of
Straits is like a little bit of Vegas on Santana Row.
A fun, vibrant lounge where you can have the nightlife experience even during the day. I can't remember what drew us to this place on our first visit several years ago, but remembering what a fun time we had, we decided to make a return visit t

Stopped by during happy hour Service was okay Food was meh nothing special We ordered 8 different items and nothing stood out.
Had the best Lychee Martini ever during the happy hour.
The atmosphere is so sophisticated, and the service was prompt, the waitress frequently stopped by our table and made sure we got all that we wanted ordered before the happy hour service ended. It was a quick pit stop but well worth it!
Meeting up with friends for a quick bite and drinks.
The weather has been so nice in the evening, we wanted an outside table. The host seated right away, no wait, even with a pretty packed house! Our waiter came out as soon as we were seated, took our orders and came back with our drinks right away! H
Every item we had here was delicious.
Loved the Asian fusion style. We tried the roti (amazing sauce!), chicken saate, sashimi, and fried rice bowl. Will definitely be back when we are in town!
Really enjoyed my dinner at Straits.
The food was flavorful and well-presented--especially the roti prata and beef rendang. The vibe is lively and stylish, great for a night out with friends.
I had a lychee panna cotta and a fried banana.
This was the best dessert of my life! Definitely a must have. Their service was amazing, the waiters are very kind. The restaurant had a DJ, lounge, bar, and definitely lots of good choices to eat from. Try this place if you're visiting Santana

My team and I traveled to San Jose for a company offsite and decided to reserve a space/table for our group of 18 at Straits - Santana Row. Lillian did an amazing job in helping me with our reservation and making sure our team had a semi-private area
Overrated, overpriced with average food and poor service
I generally write very positive reviews of restaurants and hotels because I’ve been in the hospitality business for a long time, so I know how much it hurts when someone doesn’t like your service. However, this is an exception. I preface my com

Our first time here & we loved it! Ashley was amazing.
She was super attentive and so sweet! We're from Sacramento just looking for a good apps & drink spot & so glad we came across this place! The brunch spam fried rice on the brunch menu was amazing, as were the crispy wontons! :)
Expensive, average taste.
Arrogant, poor service. It is definitely not worth it. I don't recommend it.

I'm not sure why the rating here is low because this is our favourite Singaporean restaurant. We've been here a handful of different times since we moved to the Bay Area and the food has been consistently good. If it is any added reassurance, my hus

I was looking forward to eating here after hearing about it from one of my colleagues. The restaurant is in Santana Row which can make parking challenging but not impossible. The seating in the restaurant was split between tables and a lounge area. I
