Ok..
Meh. That's all I can say. Very expensive with an extremely limited range of fish/sushi. Not bad but not amazing either. Would not necessarily go back.

Be the first to ReplyLovely experience in Notting Hill
Ilona is the best waitress in here ! The dishes were absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Thank you very much for the welcoming and we will make sure to come back here soon!
Be the first to ReplyBest London Sushi 🍣
The very best, most tender, melt in your mouth, tuna, 🍣 salmon and yellowtail nigiri sushi 🍱 and temaki that I have ever had in my life! Fresh and eared. And the seaweed and garden salads were also yummy. Right in Notting Hill. Not inexpensive, but well worth it. Very helpful and timely staff. Very nice environment.
Be the first to ReplyRidiculous
They shut their seating and kitchen 40 minutes before the close. That is highly unprofessional and very odd. Honestly I was giving the place a chance but the staff seems to be least interested in handling customers. Save yourself and go to the real and proper japaneses restaurant. The hostess was quite dismissive and frankly arrogant. London has a lot of restaurants, don’t waste your time here
Be the first to ReplySuper wonderful
A wonderful trendy Japanese restaurant with a small menu but specials also. The service was exemplary… friendly, warm and very kind. The food was wonderful. It’s very expensive and quite noisy and no one else seemed much over 35. But I love it’s heart and soul
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience (slightly overpriced)
Great quality sushi, service was good (staff was friendly) but not the most professional for Michellin's standards, I would say. Overall, very positive experience! Super fresh sushi/ ingredients and perfect cocktails too! I would suggest bigger portions on the menu for example (i) 4 pieces instead of two for Nigiri's and adjust the price or (ii) two temakis instead of just one.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent presentation and taste
Excellent taste and presentation, quality over quantity. Staff are always polite and happy to assist. Will be back soon!
Be the first to ReplyGem Resto in Westbourne
Surprise!!! While waiting for my Airbnb host, decided to grab lunch in this restaurant in Westbourne Avenue,Greater London Area…And wow, was so delighted with the quality of fthe food. Walked in without reservation and was seated outside and works for me…The best salmon teriyake l have tried so far and the best macha cake…Service was prompt and courteous…had a great bottle of Japanese beer to go with my meal…Highly recommended though their menu options is quite limited…
Be the first to ReplySuperb Japanese food BUT MUSIC MUCH TOO LOUD EVEN IN THE BACK
Superb Japanese food BUT MUSIC MUCH TOO LOUD even in the back. If it's warm enough eat outside to avoid the din inside. I don't enjoy shouting at my dinner partner over the loud music and they sat us in the back which they said was quieter. Food excellent. Too bad the music overpowered everything else.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent "buzzing" modern take on traditional sushi
As I was alone, the staff were very accommodating, offering me a nice table for 2 (in the front part of the restaurant, instead of being shunted towards the back as happens quite often when dining alone!) or at the counter ... which was great to observe the friendly, outgoing, professionalism of the chefs preparing the meals. Even though the place was VERY busy the chefs had time to banter, engaging, while slicing the beautiful fishes on offer with the skill of an expert plastic surgeon! Quite a different feel from some of the other top-end sushi/japanese "names" in London, but it suits me as there's no pretentiousness or snobbishness either in the venue or among the staff. Will definitely return when I'm in the Notting Hill/Paddington area. Thanks for a great evening!
Be the first to ReplyEverything about this restaurant is ridiculous
Positives first - the sushi here is excellent, although selection is limited. Otherwise, the service is simultaneously overbearing and clueless. Staff provide detailed instructions on how you are to eat each dish, but when you need them to actually do something for you they are nowhere to be found. How this place is Michelin rated is a mystery. If you’re a 20-something influencer who doesn’t know any better I’m sure you’ll think this place is great. For us geezers who’ve been around awhile, you’ll spend the evening just rolling your eyes.

Sat at the chefs table tonight, unbelievable food, amazing friendly staff... can't wait to go again!
Be the first to ReplyVery decent
Loved their sushi, especially the hand rolls. Slightly less traditional temaki, but nevertheless delicious! Fresh fish that doesn’t need much to add or overcomplicate. The interior is a tad plain for special occasion kind of setup, while the prices aren’t.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant with great staff and amazing food
I will go here again and again and again. Great sushi restaurant with lots of good vegan options for my friend. Love the Nottinghill vibes and excellent service.
Be the first to ReplyVery good Japanese food, but at a cost
I ended up going here by accident as the next door restaurant, the original destination, was closed.
Japanese food with the majority being sushi. You can also sit at the counter where they make the sushi in front of you which looks fun.
Miso soup to start which was delicious and quite substantial compared to miso I have had before, lots of mushrooms and a truffle taste which maybe I imagined.
Then the sushi - this was pretty much all fantastic. Highly recommend the fatty tuna nigiri (medium fatty or just fatty, although latter is much pricier). We got medium fatty and it was perfect and a highlight. You can add a dollop of caviar on the sushi for a few quid extra.
The wagyu beef was incredible but of course quite expensive.
Finally the desserts are also worth looking at too, matcha cake and a ice cream, both were very tasty.
Ultimately this is a really nice venue, fantastic staff and attentive, very good Japanese food in every part of the menu. Fatty tuna nigiri and the wagyu beef were my favourite dishes. Only reason this is 4 stars is the price point - it is very expensive and portions are generally small. But you pay for the quality, so for a treat it’s worth visiting. But if you don’t want to spend much and you’re very hungry maybe not the best place.
Simple sushi at it’s best
This isn’t what I call American-style sushi with loads of different rolls and sauces. This is a small menu with simple, quality ingredients. We had a couple of the temaki (hand rolls) as well as sashimi (salmon, yellow tail, salmon roe, lean tuna), and aburi nigiri (which we’ve not had before). Loved it all.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely tragedy of a waitress
We had a terrible experience with issue after issue with our waitress. Would not recommend if you expect a mild bit of competence from your waitress.
1. Waitress brought us the wrong order (extra Temaki), despite having explicitly emphasized what we wanted several times
2. She also brought us the wrong nigiri. We asked for two orders of akami nigiri: one seared, one not. She said that akami nigiri cannot be seared so we conceded and ordered akami and chutoro and seared chutoro. She brought us akami and seared akami. We asked her what that was about, she claims its chutoro but it was clearly akami, which we said, and she conceded saying that she had misinformed us, and apologized. We started eating - there are only two orders of tuna nigiri, not the three we ordered but we didn’t push this. Waitress comes back and says her manager says it’s chutoro, it’s just a “different color”. It was clearly akami, they were just trying to upsell us but we had eaten 3/4 of it by then so we could not argue. Ridiculous if they call that chutoro normally!
3. We ask about something a chef is cooking, the waitress says she doesn’t know what it is but will ask the chef and get back to us. She makes no effort to do so, standing around in plain sight. We go over ourselves and ask the chef about what it is, who answers and when we want to order, points at the waitress without saying anything. It was extremely discouraging so we did not order it.
4. Temaki is poorly wrapped and seaweed is not fresh. As we ate the tuna one, the tuna spilled out - due to poor design. We mention this to our waitress, as a complaint, and she says “oh it’s alright don’t worry”, interpreting it as an apology from us messing up the table. This is shockingly hilarious.
5. We want to order more but do not care to suffer through more of this so we have to go find somewhere else to finish out meal
Outstanding Quality of Fish
New staple for Westbourne Grove.
Ceviche, O-Toro, Seabass, Aburi Salmon, all 10/10.
The matcha crep cake a must.
If you like good quality sushi, you should go here.
Second best sushi I have ever had..
Limited menu, nice decor. I came here for sushi and it's one of the best I have ever had. The right ratio of fish to rice, small grained rice with the right temperature, crisp nori, open style temaki (like a taco). Great experience. I agree with the previous critic that Nobu and Zuma have better value for money but I have to say that the sushi here is better than those 2 places.
Be the first to ReplyElegant setting but underdelivers
Elegant setting but clearly caters to rich Notting Hill folks who don’t mind leaving hungry and paying £9 for an olive sized piece of meat. Also their IG is misleading as shows bento boxes but they don’t serve them anymore. I rather go to Zuma or Nobu anyway, better value for money and food, overall.
Be the first to ReplyExquisite
Amazing service, the food was spectacular and the environment was 10/10.
Love the cocktails..... worth quality price! I could say one go the best Sushi restaurants I have ever been.
😍😍👌🏽
