Tbonz Steakhouse of Augusta Reviews
They charge a significant upcharge for using a credit card.
We no longer eat there because of that. Plenty of other good places to have a nice steak in Augusta.
Sat at the bar during Masters week.
Prices jacked up drastically for the Masters but still packed. My 8oz filet was average at best. Thinnest filet I've ever seen and it probably 6oz at the most. Disappointing since it's $44 with a baked potato. No bread, no salad, no veggie unless you want to pay another $8-$10. Drinks were good but way overpriced. Service was friendly and fairly prompt. Great location with average food so prob not a place I would frequent on a regular basis.
Masters week visit We went to the location in Evans first.
.. Long story but it didn't feel right... Ended up here (eventually) and the atmosphere is what you would expect for Masters week No reservations but we can nearly so not much of a wait but you can make friends while you wait... Food was solid- hard to mess up a steak and potatoes Nothing on tap- only cans Service was super friendly if not terribly efficient Definitely a go to during Masters Much longer of a wait at 7 when we left
The only "beef" I have this this restaurant is that it is
The only "beef" I have this this restaurant is that it is VERY loud. However, the steak is perfectly cooked and consistent. I have only had two bad experiences and we go there sometimes twice a month for the last year. The staff fixed the issues with the steaks without a problem. Their blue cheese dressing is to die for and the other side items are always good. Jamie is the bomb! LOVE T-BONZ!
It was a regular steak house.
I had the salmon and my wife had the ribeye. They didn't really season the steak, but it was still good because of the grilling. And their baked potatoes were cooked well also and was easy to prepare.
Great food, wonderful service and waitstaff! It is not a
Great food, wonderful service and waitstaff! It is not a place for quiet night out. Very loud but fun!
Very good steaks
Good steak good sides and very good service. I would change the bread for the table to something more unique. We had the Phil filet and the NY strip with baked potatoes and all was very good. I’m a Texas Roadhouse type of person for my steak on a not special occasion and this was better.
Went there on December 14 to celebrate my son's college
Went there on December 14 to celebrate my son's college graduation. I expect a place that lauds itself as a premium steakhouse to know how to both season and cook a steak. I asked for a medium rare plus steak that was barely rare. It was so filled with gristle and so under done that I couldn't even slice it with a steak knife. It had zero flavor to add insult to injury. I would highly recommend them, only if you're just looking to throw away a couple hundred dollars.
Not a Great Place for Weekend Reservations
This is a terrible place to go if you have a group of 8 family members and you are taking them to lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant does not take reservations on weekends. I will be choosing another restaurant.
Only steak house we'll go to...
Best Steakhouse in the entire CSRA and maybe the entire Southeast. We go there a fair amount, and it's definitely worth the 30 minute drive for us. The food makes TX Roadhouse & Longhorn's look like hamburger joints, and the prices are VERY reasonable for the quality of meat you get, which is outstanding. The service is head & shoulders above everybody else. I asked the manager one nite how he gets such good people. He told me "we hire good quality people, and then train them the way we want things done". We've never really had bad service in the 7 years we've been going there.
Sat at bar.
Bartenders were busy...too busy. Ribeye steak was decent...bit thin and overcooked. Nothing to write home about...but decent. Good atmosphere at the bar and in the restaurant.
Another great meal
We eat here at least once a year when we come to visit our son and his family. As we can we visit the area. Sunday we were at T-Bonz and Heather was our waitress and she was very busy but did a great job helping us out for dinner. We had a good time and the food was good too. It took a little longer than expected but it was good.
My husband and I love going to this Tbonz Location.
The food is always good, the service is always great. The mgt team always checks on us. However, my favorite part is that the mgt doesn't mind helping their staff. I've seen the managers bring out food, clear tables, help with drinks etc.
Food and service were excellent.
Hayden was an awesome server. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Had the ahi tuna appetizer, pork chop, turkey club, and French dip. All were great choices!
Great steaks and service
Great family atmosphere. People and service were awesome. I will definitely be going back for another T-Bone and my wife really enjoyed her Filet
You must try this one!
Normally when I think of steak, my mind goes to Outback, Longhorn etc. Unfortunately the traffic around our hotel was horrendous on the way to either. Reception recommended this. Appearance is nothing from the outside apart from the sign saying they had won best steakhouse in Augusta 25 times. Encouraging. Friendly reception and straight to table - looks like a real steakhouse. Menu is huge and gave me a problem choosing. Server fantastic. Food arrived promptly and was as good as I have ever had. Soda topped up without asking. Both server and subsequently manager came to ensure we were happy. Bill arrived when requested. Price was a bit lower than I expected. Would I go there or to one of my defaults? Straight back here without hesitation. Give it a try and you will be impressed too.
Good prime rib and reasonably priced
This place was very close to where I was staying. It looked very busy, with a queue inside, but luckily I got a table pretty quickly. Service was efficient and attentive. I ordered the prime rib, which was perfectly cooked and very tender, with a great flavour from the rub, plus mashed potato and grilled mushrooms/onions, which was nice to see as a side. The gravy wasn’t brilliant but everything else was great. Prices were very reasonable too.
Great place
Great place and dinner was awesome! Here in business trip, I had the 10 oz prime rib and it was excellent. I will be back when I visit.
Very inconsistent quality of food.
Three in my party ordered steaks tonight and all three were undercooked. Mine was a terrible undercooked New York strip. The fat was not rendered and there was so much gristle I could not eat it at all. The quality was extremely bad and the cut was very thin like a breakfast cut. There was no seasoning or grill marks at all. A second person got the fillet which was thicker but it was served rare and cool not medium as ordered . There is no way to recook a steak so the meal was ruined. All three salads were sent back due to brown lettuce and stale croutons. The Tommy Texas cheese fries were dry . The only good things were the very nice and attentive wait staff and the fried shrimp appetizer. This place has steadily gone downhill and it is definitely not like the original T Bones on Washington Rd. which had great food 20 yrs ago. Don't waste your money. Try Longhorn in Grovetown or Texas Road House.
A nice place to stop
Here for business and ended up eating here twice. Waitresses “Liberty” and the other young lady were fast, curtious and food was very good. Had the rooms rib and filet . Beer was cold
This place was packed, but well worth the wait.
The staff was extremely pleasant for as busy as it was. Service was fast and with a smile! Our waitress Chris(sp) was great. Food was great, well seasoned. We had the wings, BBQ and Lemon Pepper, both great. Had ribs, great. Had the Steakhouse salad, another delicious choice! The manager came by to every table ensuring everyone in the restaurant was pleased. Great food, quick, and friendly!
The food and service were amazing! Hope is a great server!
The food and service were amazing! Hope is a great server! We never had to ask for refills.. She was always right on top of everything!! Food was delicious!! I would recommend this steak house. Friendly as well!!!!
Steakhouse eats
My husband and I ate here while traveling home after Christmas. The location was conveniently located right off of the interstate which was nice. The staff were super friendly and efficient. My husband had the she crab soup to start and he said it was delicious. He had a ribeye for entree and I had a burger and fries. The steak was a bit too over seasoned for our taste but well cooked. My burger was tasty and the steak fries were crispy and hot. Service was speedy and cost about average for a steakhouse eats.
T-Bonz does not do it for me.
I really enjoy a good steak and T-Bonz year after year is voted best steak in town. I tried several times to see what the hype was about and they let me down every time. The quality of the steak isn't better than what I can get in another restaurant, the service is mediocre and it's just not a very good environment for me. I have tried several times to go to T-Bones. The last time I went I took a friend of mine because she had never gone and she had wanted to try the food. We finally went the same thing unfortunately we both decided we won't be going back we have given them many many times to show us that their quality restaurant
A local jewel that's lost it's shimmer.
I will start by saying the steak was good- not great. But it's very difficult to mess up a center cut filet. Service was horrible- there was no attention to details at all. I was rushed to order. Then rushed to eat as I was presented with my steak about the first bite of my salad. The place is dated, the servers are not trained well and overall it's not the "steakhouse" is used to be (or thinks it was). Lastly, why serve small portions on a huge plate?
The ribeye was high quality beef and cooked to perfection.
The seasoning was outstanding, sides were great and the service was excellent! Nice selection of beer and was very cold. Highly recommend Tbonz.
