Attended an event here.
The one thing about coming here is that the parking situation is tight. They have valet parking but they don't validate parking for all events. So you have to look for street parking or a parking garage. The food was average. The salad was lackluster. My steak was very well done but luckily the salmon was fine. Dessert was good. Nothing stood out. Servers were nice.
Be the first to ReplyMy Family went to The Brown Palace for a Mother's Day
My Family went to The Brown Palace for a Mother's Day Brunch and it was great! It was a buffet inside of the hotel, im sad i didnt get a picture of the inside of the actual hotel cause it looked so historic and was so beautiful. The food was great, some of it included fried chicken, freshly cut meats, salmon, potatoes, baked Mac& cheese, plenty of breakfast options like fruit, pastries, bacon, sausage, eggs, and quiche. There's a station to have an omelet and waffles made fresh for you as well. All that I listed wasn't even half of the food that was there. The dining room we got sat it was lovely and had a live Jazz band playing. The waiters were all so professional but personal. The chandeliers and art on the wall were lovely as well. The desserts are in a whole different area and they had the cutest Mother's Day desserts, along with mini cookies, mini keylime pie desserts, crème brûlée, mousse, and way more. We had such an enjoyable experience here. The ONLY reason it's not 5 stars is it's pretty pricy for a buffet, coming in at about $120 per person. If that price is worth it to you then I'd definitely recommend this place!
Be the first to ReplyThis review is for Afternoon tea.
The tea service is perfection. Everything was delectable. The waiter was helpful and professional.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a work event here and I stayed for two nights.
Even though I'm a local Ive never been to the Brown Palace. Overall, it was a pretty cool spot. I heard my room was bigger than some of my colleagues so I guess I got lucky. I loved the history architecture. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was good too. My only complaint was I heard drilling at 5 or 6 in the morning.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I stayed here on our first visit to Denver.
It's pretty convenient to get to from the train station; there's a bus stop a few blocks from the station and you can use your train ticket, or you can use the free mall bus. When I read that it was a 100+ year-old hotel and that it was haunted, I was sold! This is a beautiful old, well-kept hotel with a stunning glass mosaic ceiling and atrium. They offer afternoon tea and live music during the day. I'm sure that it's lovely during the holidays! All of the staff we talked to were very nice and accommodating. Our King room was spacious, upgraded but still with personality and historical charm. I never heard any noise from neighboring rooms or the street, and during our snowy visit, we were able to keep it comfortably warm. One of the reasons I picked the hotel (besides ghosts) was the location, and that it had multiple bars, restaurants and coffee shops onsite. Unfortunately, everything in the hotel closes so early that we weren't able to get any nightcaps after sightseeing and dinners. Even Ships Tavern closed disappointingly early. It's in a quiet, financial-district area that is pretty dead on the weekends, so it was hard to find late night eats or nightlife close by. We managed to find a late spot in the nearby 6th Street Mall, which was also really convenient for any travel items, souvenirs, or warmer clothes we needed. All in all, I'm glad we stayed here! We loved Denver and that this was part of the experience!
Be the first to ReplyThis place gives me Titantic vibes.
On the outside you have Mr. Belvedere that will get the door for you, and or help you with your bags etc. The hotel is drab and is in need of some upgrades. Though parts of it looks very chic. the dining area has a nice ambiance, and some of the decor are pics worthy for the gram. Theres some history to this hotel, at I forgot about it. Whats cool about this hotel is that it connects to the Holiday Inn across the street. The bridge has beautiful views of the city although its a view from the 2nd floor. They had afternoon tea, its a little expensive for what you get. The service is ok and sometimes a little non existent. Some of the gals, seem a bit uptight. The price tag to stay here, is not worth it. Maybe Ill give it another chance, if they do upgrades.
Be the first to ReplyReally, it is close to five, but not quite there.
This is an exquisite hotel with history in downtown Denver. It is beautiful inside. The breakfast we ate there is easily the best hotel breakfast we've ever had in American, better than anywhere in western or central Europe, and competitive with the best we've had in Russia or Dubai. It was just wonderful. The room was very good. The bed was very comfortable. (I can think of hotels its age in, say, Chicago or New York about which this could not be said.). The valet was efficient and the hotel staff all really very eager to provide, well, service. This is also a bit distinctive compared to fine hotels in the eastern USA. But there were a few demerits, all going to the physical state of the property. The paint above the shower was peeling. The bathroom sink fixtures leaked when used. The heating in the room couldn't seem to move above 70F although it wasn't particularly cold outside. Would I stay there again? Yes! As soon as possible.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I were excited to take family here for her baby
My wife and I were excited to take family here for her baby shower for high tea. We used to live in London and have experience with afternoon tea, and had heard great things about the brown palace. The bites and tea tasted fine, but the service was abismal. They basically just left the tea and then left, we had to keep our own tea full, really no service at all. And on top of the abismal service, they add 20% by default, maybe that explains the complete lack of service?
Be the first to ReplyJanice the General Manager will not return calls.
Left a message over a week ago, when I call to follow up I'm told she does not take calls and I can talk to HR. Understand things happen but you are defined in how the situation is resolved. In this case they would rather ignore it then help. All over an unauthorized charge on my credit card. We are Bonvoy members no more. This is a Marriot property managed worse than a Days Inn. Save your Money. Jerry at the front desk needs a new Job in how he speaks to you. Janice does not seem to care and it shows with how the staff treats a paying customer.

We enjoyed the music and the incredible service from Hiwat and Asnaku. Both are dedicated and customer oriented people who go out of their way to make you feel special. The chamomile tea and the red wine from Napa Valley hit the spot. Thank you for a great vacation
Be the first to ReplyJust spent over $1,000 on dinner for 4 at The Arms
Just spent over $1,000 on dinner for 4 at The Arms restaurant bc my in laws are visiting and are excited to stay here for their 50th wedding anniversary . Unfortunately one of the wait staff (Caucasian male about 30 yrs, black hair, tall, skinny) came out to our table to drop off something and without any prior interaction/ provocation, decided to mock my 80 yr old MIL by commenting on parts of a story she told. He repeatedly said "you're so classy...I just want to tell you how classy you are..." loudly and sarcastically. None of this was warranted. It was really surprising to have this happen. McDonalds service would have been kinder, more appropriate, far less expensive and delivered with far more class.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful place to visit and stay.
I really enjoyed my time there. Mallory was especially helpful sorting out the issue with my registration. I would definitely love to come back.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an experience for high tea.
The tea service was above and beyond what I had expected. The scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts made the tea even better. I consider myself to be a comfortable person in any situation, but this place made me question whether I could do this every day... Every other day absolutely The staff explained each part of the services, as well as, check if we had any questions. We were able to check our coats, and luggage to relax and enjoy the beautiful ambiance, which included a harpist. A wonderful experience to do occasionally.
