Salty food
My wife and I visited for the first time in March. Here is quick breakdown: Food: This is our main issue. We wanted to like the food however we found it to be over salted. We ordered the Mussels appetizer and Fig Burger. Ambiance: I would give this 4.5 stars-We loved sitting at the bar watching the chef make the food-so much fun Service: We would give this 4.5 stars as the staff was very helpful and friendly Value: This was the other main issue, we felt like the price/value was not there

Only place to go in Rocklin or Roseville! Small business. Most employees have been here for years and are so great! Incredible wine list. Incredible draft beer menu. Food is amazing. Great ingredients all brought together by talented people.

Lovely food and very friendly staff. Busy on a Friday night but well worth the wait. We will definitely come here again.
Be the first to Reply10 out of 5 meal!
If I could, I would have rated my meal a 10. The food and staff were incredible. You can tell that the people that work there, genuinely enjoy what they do. The place is not large, so be prepared for a wait, but it’s worth it!

Our 1st and last time at Roseville's Chef's Table. Got there at opening and watched staff scurry about still not ready for customers. Drinks came quickly after ordering. Food served within a reasonable time. Quantity of food served was disappointing. SOUTHERN FRIED MARY'S CHICKEN $26. This dish was a dollop of mash potatoes, 4 carrot slices and one piece of chicken. Tasty, but left you hungry. SMOKED PRIME RIB FRENCH DIP SANDWICH $22. Just the sandwich no fries, rings etc. just sandwich and it was skimpy on the prime rib. In all we had the two small meals, 3 drinks, add a tip & tax and we left hungry after paying $110. Not the best bang for the buck.
Be the first to ReplyGoing back in history
If you want to experience (specially for color people) how a colored people felt back in history when the ban was lifted and colored people were allowed , but still the experience was same as before the ban, then this is the place. They just don't like to attend or offer water to colored people. I waited over 30+ mins, checked in @7:20 PM and till 7:50 pm I was not even offered water or anyone came to attend us. I just refuse to understand if you are in restaurant business you are doing the best service to mankind feeding your guest and the feeling the Chefs get when the guest appreciates. So if you are getting nostalgic to experience the discriminated treatment then one should visit them. I heard so much about them on the quality of food that I had decided to go, now I think it will be on my blacklist of restaurants. Also no worker of the restaurant was wearing mask or they took any precaution.
Be the first to ReplyReliable, Manly, Friendly and good food!
Reliable, Manly, Friendly and good food! Restaurants hidden in strip malls don’t get my immediate attention. I would have bypassed Chef’s Table buried in such a mall in Rocklin, if not for some recommendations of friends. Before going there, I checked TripAdvisor. It is currently rated #1 in Rocklin. Three Sisters had that ranking last time I looked. But Chef’s Table has taken the lead. This is a dinner house with lunch served only Thursday through through Saturday starting at noon. They close Sundays and Mondays. It’s a macho cast of characters, all men. They laugh and have fun, performing admirably. We came for my Frau’s 78th birthday. Our lunchtime server was Nicolaus, a self-proclaimed mix of Italian, German and Irish. He saw we brought a celebratory bottle of Pouilly-Fuisse and he had the cork removed and the bottle cooling in an ice bucket before we could say Nicolaus. The corkage fee was only $15. Their wine bottles tend to be pricey, running from $45 for a South African blend to a $400 Opus One cabernet. So bringing your own special wine is the way to go. There is nothing pretentious here. A single sheet menu is not laminated, and is printed on one side only . This simple food listing suffices for both lunch and dinner. The menu is quite disorganized with burgers mixed with such choices as oyster shooters and pork tacos. The decor is quite simple. A group of taller tables are in the cocktail lounge. Our seating was close to other tables, full of youngish eaters and drinkers. Fancy wardrobes might include colored t-shirts. All were polite and some wished my wife a happy birthday. My only complaint is they don’t take reservations. I could picture a long wait on a busy night. It was even quite full on our Thursday mid-afternoon visit. My prime rib French dip ($21) was delicious—and half of it followed me home. Gretchen said her grilled peach burger ($18) –can you believe it? was a delight. It’s a creative menu, not extensive. I know they offer dessert but they had no space on the menu to list them. They have oodles of craft beer offerings. The web page is alive with action and includes the basics. We had a good first impression and plan to return. The place is clean and parking is ample. Nice neighborhood. Casual and relaxing it is. Not cheap.
Be the first to ReplyYour taste buds will thank you!
We had a group of four on a very busy night, since restaurants were just reopening after COVID restrictions. They have a unique Signature Drink menu that features Whistle Pig Old Fashions, Blood Orange Mules, Cucumber Lime Gimlet, Four Roses Manhattan, and they can mix just about anything you want. We selected four different drinks and no one was disappointed. Delish!! The food was no different. Creative menu items that make your taste buds come alive with different flavors were so good and created a great fun night out. Try the House Made Pesto and Swiss Chees fries, the Pastrami Reuben Egg Rolls, The TCT Animal Burger, and Cast Iron Pan Seared Diver Scallops and those were just the appetizers! (that they split for four so we could all taste them!) The main entrees include Filet Mignon, Grilled Apple Brined Pork Chops, Pan seared Alaskan Halibut and don't forget the buttermilk soaked Mary's Fried Chicken. The service was pleasant and attentive, even on a busy night. The food and drinks complimented each other, and made for a great evening out for our entire group. We'll definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyDinner tonight
Tonight was the first dinner under the tent. As usual, the team knocked it out of the park. The Halibut and the Pork Chop were totally awesome and if you can get Frank to mix a Black & Tan with the stuff from SLICE, it is the best desert you can have. Eric, Jon and staff are the absolute best there is in this area. Being in the business world for 50 years I have eaten all over the world. The Chinese sausage in the Halibut dish was a great surprise and such a great flavor. Many shouts out to such a great team. If you have to drive a long way to get there, do it!!!!!!
Be the first to ReplyWaited 25 minutes for our overpriced, underwhelming meals. Fries were swimming in oil, the shrimp dish lacked flavor.
Thought we would give it another shot, not impressed to say the least. For the price point the presentation should have been much better...even takeout from a local hamburger spot was presented better. We waited 25 minutes past the promised time for our oily fries. However, the short rib was well seasoned and tender but the amount of sides....3 soft carrots and what seemed like boxed mashed potatoes was a disappointment. The shrimp dish lacked seasoning and was also super oily.

Anniversary dinner - short wait in the bar for our table. Great serving team, great bar menu. Once seated for dinner the service quality continued (excellent) and the food was superb. Very much enjoyed the experience and we will be back.

First time in Sacramento, here for work with my team. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Staff was very friendly. Great recommendation.
Be the first to ReplyAverage Fare
A cozy restaurant located in a shopping strip. The service and the ambiance were very good but the food was average. We ordered a filet mignon and a pork chop and had Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. The sprout were delicious. The meat were average and the sauce with the filet cold. Prices are reasonable for this type of restaurant.

It is one of our favorite local restaurants, love dining here. Dinner is always great, friendly staff. They make great Dirty Martinis.
