If you're looking for a cozy spot to eat with a loved one or a place to go with coworkers, the Dandelion is an excellent choice. Great food, appetizers, entrees and drinks. The ambiance is like an old English pub but with much better food and gr
The Dandelion had steady traffic on a Sunday.
Arrived without a reservation and was able to be seated. I ordered earl grey tea, rose mimosa, and the English breakfast excluding the blood pudding. Everything was delicious! The decor within the Dandelion is warm and cozy.

I have been going to the Dandelion every time I visit Philly. Maybe 6 or 7 times a year for however long it has been open. I always sit at the bar. In my opinion it has one of the great burgers in the country. It has amazed me how incredibly consist

Had the chance to stop at The Dandelion after the Rittenhouse Market this afternoon. Great building and ambiance, with a quirky little bi-level configuration. The lunch menu is full of inviting British influences, and we ended up with the cider steam
We went to the Dandelion with friends and all enjoyed it.
It's a fun pub ambiance with a nice menu and good service. Was nice to see trout on the menu and also Chenin Blanc. Of course fish and chips and various draft and bottled beers were also options. Maybe on our next visit. Great location off Ritte
We had the fried skate sandwich.
Not for me as the fish was somewhat burnt in flavor taking away the delicate flavor of the Skate. The chips gave the same flavor profile to me as well. Not happy.
Great place, I dined on my own, sitting at the upstairs bar.
The restaurant was busy and had a great Irish Pub ambiance. A friendly greeting with a glass of water welcomed me. I ordered the Steak and Chips. Steak was cooked correctly and delicious. Watercress salad was fresh and plentiful, and the triple-coo
Wonderful place! It's very warm and cozy feeling inside.
All the charm of an upscale British pub. Every corner has something delightful to look at. We were in a bit of a rush and our waiter was very prompt and helpful. I'd guess it's the most classic British menu in the city. We had bangers &
It's exactly what I pictured for an upscale British pub.
You expect a bar, dark decor and furniture and the three staples: fish and chips, shepherds pie, bangers and mash. I got the fish and chips and lightly golden brown, not oily, great crisp from the batter even after dousing it with malt vinegar. Cod

A burger at a British bar usually isn't something to rave about, but the Dandy here is a juicy bite with bacon, pickles, lettuce and a nice sauce. The service is nice and it's a solid location to watch Premier League games.
Terrible for Happy Hour
We went into this place for happy hour, walked into the bar, asked the host if we could sit at a high-top and began to look through the menu. Then a disgusting waiter came over to us, slapped a "reserved" on our table, and barked "ar

It's probably a 3.
5 for me. 3 seems too low and 4 is maybe a little too high. Ate here during a recent visit to Philly. It's got a nice vibe in old quaint location. Food was good. The fries were outstanding!!! Burger was good, cooked nicely. Fish was nic

On a Saturday night we made reservations and came for dinner. The restaurant itself is a cute pub vibe. It seems like an old house becuase there's an upstairs with multiple rooms and the space is quite big compared to what it looks like outside.
My friend and I stopped by The Dandelion while in the area.
The ambiance was nice, and the service was good. However, the food lacked something for us. I ordered the salmon and it definitely left something to be desired. The salmon itself was cooked well, but the flavor was an insanely strong tomato base, and

Able to sit outside and have our fur baby join in. Service was quick and kind. Food was delish, highly recommend the whipped ricotta.

We stopped here for dinner before a comedy show, around 8:15. When you step inside, it feels like you're transported to a British pub with a really cool room decorated with dogs everywhere. Dog curtains, dog figurines, dog pictures. The only way
Great food, comfortable vibe
My wife and I are foodies and big Stephen Starr restaurant fans. We've been to many, but this is was our first time in Dandelion. As the pleasant hostesses greeted us and took us to the 3rd floor, we didn't realize this was the design based
Came here for brunch with friends.
Ordered the poached eggs with bubble & squeak. It was good! The egg was perfectly poached, and the sauce was good. Wasn't the biggest fan of the bubble & squeak though, but that might just be a personal preference. Would love to come bac

The food was absolutely disgusting, haven't been able to get the horrible taste of the beef tartare out of my mouth since going. You would be much better off going to the love across the street, or honestly just not eating at all
Comfort food but not comfortable space
Friends recommended this place & what a delight. Very British. Nice ambiance -- dark woods, very pub-like, classic comfort food. It seemed casual rather than upscale but there were some dressed up people & several couples on dates. The d
So good we came back again!
We enjoyed our dinner at The Dandelion so much that we came back another evening during our stay in Philly. Everyone enjoyed their entrees- rabbit pie (yummy but rich), shepherd's pie (to die for!), fish & chips (delicious), tandoori chicken
Classic and Delicious!
This pub is very busy and appears to be a favorite of the locals in the area. We were able to get a reservation on a busy Thursday evening. Service was very friendly, quick , and accommodating. A member of our party changed their order at the last
Great spot for classic british pub food
Great british pub food! The tables were a bit small but the seating is in a very unique and interesting space. They were very accomodating on checking for allergies as well. Great selection of drinks. The food was delicious.
Birthday afternoon tea with some appetizers.
We went there for an afternoon tea for my Birthday. I am Irish so I had many Afternoon teas but this one was not good. Some of the sandwiches were not the usual ones and were not very good. The scones were nice but the desserts were not good. they w
What a lucky find! Highly recommend!
What a lucky find! I booked The Dandelion on a whim while looking for a spot to take an out-of-town friend, and I couldn’t have chosen better. The restaurant’s cozy ambiance, complete with the charm of a former family dwelling, made it feel warm
Expensive
Very small, crowded, food was average. Had the Chilled soup - very strong flavors and for me personally a little difficult to eat chilled with those flavors. then had the lamb shepherd pie - decent enough, not much lamb in it. Expensive for what you
Great place
All of our dishes were excellent, with the signature salad being the best, or maybe the like-you-are-in-London fish and chips. Great atmosphere and friendly service.
Best meal of the trip
Great atmosphere in an historic )looks like it anyway) former three story downtown home. Fantastic food. My wife went crazy over the beet salad. The deviled eggs and Tandoori Chicken were the best! Steak & Chips superb.
amazing.
loved everything about it. Perfect date night. Chris Vtrainers Personal Training

they cook a frozen beef patty and drizzle some brown sauce on it on a giant plate and charge $36. they like to pretend they are a fine dining establishment. they are a pub with high prices at best.
Amazing! Had the rabbit pie and was terrific.
The best part in addition to the great pie was the decor and environment. As someone who absolutely loves London, this place brings you there and more. A must do in Philly.

What's good here? Cocktails and mock tails and "2-for-1-sales" Tell the bartender "it's not a bender," and he'll pour a shot into the blender. For the bread and butter I used a knife as a spreader, not a cutter. The endive sa
Best fish and chips in 30 years
I love fish and chips. I have not had fish and chips this good in 30 years. The fish was thick and cooked perfectly. My sister had the salmon, it looked fabulous. My friend liked the Lamb Shepherd’s Pie.
Loads of food doesn't make a good dish better but it does
Loads of food doesn't make a good dish better but it does make a messy plate. The service depends on how you look; it feels kinda snobby in here when sitting solo at a high top table. In the dining room with a date, it is cozy. It is hard to tell if
Went to lunch & got the Dandy Burger & a Shirley temple.
The place is really cool and had cool seating and decorations. Our server was nice and accommodating for a friend who has allergies! The Shirley temple was missing cherries but was pretty good. The burger was also good but nothing mind blowing (even
Great atmosphere!
We had reservations about 3 weeks out. The place was extremely full, so I’d definitely recommend reservations. The service. Cocktails and entrees were fantastic. My husband had the Shepherds Pie and I had the Fish and Chips, it was cod, and they we
Stopped in for the afternoon tea special.
While $60 for tea, sandwiches, mini cheesecake, pastries & scones may seem a bit steep for two people, the quantity of food we were served far exceeded a similar helping we received at another outlet. And we had plenty to take home with us. The

Was recommended this place years ago and finally got to go check it out and I definitely would go back! Super cute interior with a great fireplace to hang around. Got the dandelion salad and split the steak with my friend and both were amazing! Serve
Nice cozy British-style pub.
We ordered the steak and chips and the bangers and mash. Both dishes were tasty, with nice portions. The bar offered a nice selection, the Old King Cold cocktail was a refreshing choice. Service was great and they offer scan to pay.
Fantastic service, atmosphere and food.
The duck and chicken liver parfait was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. This is an absolute gem of a pub.
