The Kings Lodge Hotel, Hunters Bar and Restaurant Leavesden Green Reviews from The Last Year
Not exactly paradise but there are worst places to stay
This hotel has great potential, if proper investment into modernisation is prioritised. We had two rooms for our family for two nights. The hotel is very tired unfortunately and all carpets need a thorough deep clean (we kept shoes on as felt they were too dirty) and didnāt risk using the kettle. We arrived on a very busy Friday night (a good sign as itās clearly popular in the bar and restaurant) but felt in the way upon arrival although not for long. We were taken to our rooms by a friendly member of staff. The bedding was clean and fresh but the carpet wasnāt great and everything was old fashioned. Towels were clean but old and too small and the bathroom was really tired with damaged tiles, a rusty towel rail and Iām not convinced the floor had been washed. Sadly we had a bad first night due to pillows which were so firm, it was like sleeping on a large brick. We all commented on this and felt tired the next day. The second night wasnāt as bad - maybe we were used to hard pillows by that point. On the plus side, breakfast was great (which you pay for separately. Disappointed we couldnāt swap baked beans for mushrooms which seemed petty when you consider what we were spending). On the second morning we had an unfriendly waitress who literally plonked the menus down and walked off! Soā¦we wouldnāt stay there again but it is a great location for the Harry Potter studios/nearby wedding venue. But if there was a next time, weād do more research.
Very nice experience
Check in was painless, room was very comfy, staff were very pleasant. The food was out of this world, 5* for the food. Minor criticism, there was tea/coffee facilities in the room but no teaspoon provided, the room was very hot so didnāt get much sleep despite opening the window. Also disappointed that no shower soap or gel or shampoo provided, so I would have liked to have known that before we went
Convenient only if visiting Warner brothers studio
convenient if you're visiting Warner brothers studios as it is a 5min drive away. rooms cosy and beds comfortable, food is ok, WiFi and TV didn't work properly. Extremely Lovely staff. If you're staying here you genuinely would be staying here for the location rather than comfort which isn't a bad thing as it has all that's needed for a very brief stay.
Noisy, tatty, really poor hotel
Really poor, noisy, tatty place. Worn towels, old pillows and broken bathroom fitments. Very close to a noisy main rail line and a busy and noisy road. Paper thin walls. We barely slept. A shocking disregard for guests - we certainly wouldnāt stay here again.
Very well recommended
Ā· It was such a quaint place, very beautiful. The staff were exceptionally obliging and extremely friendly (a taxi driver told us the rude one left finally!) The Dining room and pub seating area was lovely. We ate and relaxed in the back garden which was really comfortable and smart. The food was lovely, good sized portions and a varied menu. We visited Warner Bros Studio and stayed here overnight so no big rush home. It's about a 5-10 minute drive away from the studio. The beds were very comfortable, room a nice size, all clean. There was a kettle, which I hadn't seen on the facilities list, so that was nice too. The trains did run through the night and were a little noisy but getting to sleep wasn't hard. All in all I thought this a very nice venue and would definitely recommend it. So relaxing.
Fabulous Experience.
Having read previous reviews AFTER booking Iām very surprised that our experience was exceptional! The hotel building is old and so some quirks must be expected but our room was perfect, clean and serviceable. On our arrival the staff were attentive and friendly. We had dinner which was of a very high standard. After enjoying a couple of pints in the bar and a game of Harry Potter edition Scrabble we retired to our room and slept like logs the whole night. The next morning we had a breakfast in the dining room of the hotel and again, food and service was of the highest standard. All in all an excellent experience and I would stay again, value for money in all areas.

Hi everyone, I am new to appointment trader and a friend of mine told me about it and I found it to be a super interesting idea, so I decided to try it.
I was just wondering if you guys had any tips or tricks that would help me get better on this platform as a seller. If you could let me know of some things you did not know about when you began it would be greatly appreciated to know :)
I hope to make some sales and some friends along this journey and I wish you all goodluck with making your own sales. Thank you to those who are willing to provide some helpful tips :)

Iām new too. Iām trying the Trial and Error approach. I look at the top trending restaurants and make a few reservations then see what sells.

Iām also new but half a step ahead of you. There are two ways to make money.
Post listing or fill bids. Bids are placed by the customer that means if you get the reservation it will sell. Listing may not sell.
Go where there is demand and trying filling bids. It will give you an idea of what restaurants are popular and how to secure them.
Try to make your first dollar and everything will get easier from there. When trying for your first bid, go for a lower paying reservation. There is less competition and will let you understand the process.
