For $631, one night in a so-called "Grand Deluxe Room", in a "luxury" hotel, featuring old worn furniture in dimly-lit 15x15 space. Only one worn leather easy chair and a desk chair. No soap in the bathroom. No answer at the Front Desk after 20 rings. No safety grab bar in the shower. A foam-material mattress with three flimsy foam pillows. Room temperature either arctic cold or summertime - no in between. In the last of two final insults, a condition on the bill that said Marriott honors only its own records in terms of what a guest has paid and has been charged, as if to say, "your bill isn't paid unless we say it's paid, and guest records proving otherwise are irrelevant." Finally, at check-out, I was not asked the time-honored check-out question: "Did you enjoy your stay". Without question, the worst hotel value in 50 years of travel to the four corners of the world. The one and only positive experience was a bowl of fresh fruit at the complimentary breakfast, which was delicious.
