🤮 1/5 - This review is specifically for the pool at the Standard

This review is specifically for the pool at the Standard and the food, which was from the Standard's in-house restaurant called Lido Bayside.TL;DR - The cabanas are nowhere near the pool, the staff were smoking weed the entire time, food came out overdone and missing items, and the "clean" dishes provided were filthy. As a regular at the Standard in the Village in NYC, I was looking forward to coming here. Our pool is under construction and had guests visiting from out of town, so wanted to book a daybed/cabana at a local hotel pool for the day. We ended up booking this one, which was a gigantic mistake. The pool area is not large, and they cram the space to capacity. You cannot walk 18 inches without running into someone else. People were sunbathing topless (if that's your thing) and smoking. We booked a cabana for 4 for $400 minimum spend. The cabanas, unfortunately, are not near the pool at all, which is not advertised. They are 10 rows of loungechairs back from the pool, set against a wall of ivy, which backs onto an employee area that seemed like a combination of a break area and an area used for prep/staging. They clearly loved weed (no judgment for personal use, but when you're a paying guest, it's kind of unpleasant if you aren't partaking). It was an overpowering smell while we were there, and it was not relaxing as you could clearly hear the employees working or taking their breaks. We ordered food from Lido to the cabana, and the only good thing were the chicken lollipops. I ordered a croque madame with an over easy egg, and it hands down was the worst croque madame I've ever ordered. Very thin piece of ham inside a sandwich, minimal cheese. When it arrived, I was incredulous. The eggs looked as if they had been forgotten on the grill; they were so overdone, no yolk came out when cut into, it was just solid yellow. I ordered a side of "homefries with onion and peppers." There were no onions or peppers, literally just undercooked cubes of potato. My wife ordered an omelette; it arrived completely browned on the outside, severely overdone. The dishes provided were filthy (see photos). And one of the menu quirks -- a 750ml bottle of rose was $80, while a 1.5L bottle was $200 -- which makes no sense. Why would you buy the 1.5L vs. buying two of the 750ml?
