THE RANCH Restaurant Anaheim Reviews from The Last Year
I was at the Ranch for a birthday celebration and really
I was at the Ranch for a birthday celebration and really had a great time. The scallop was one of my favorite dishes and I love the tomahawk steak. The tricolor bread taste great with some wine paring. Have to admit that this is one of my favorite steakhouse and it's only 3 blocks down the street. The service was exceptional and really had a great time. Thanks again for having us.
This is hands down one of my favorite go to's ! Anything
This is hands down one of my favorite go to's ! Anything and I mean anything on this menu is amazing !! You all know my palate it Hass to be beyond delicious and this place is!!! we also ended up going to the saloon, which is right next-door so fun with the live band. People are fun friendly. What a joke this place is! We had a party of over a dozen
What a joke this place is! We had a party of over a dozen people and thankfully we combed over the receipt because they tried to sneak in a $550 tip on top of the $400+ tip that was assigned to our group! The manager was not helpful and only removed $50 for their "mistake". They should have done way more for us. We had a slap in the face. He said 99% of the time this doesn't happen lol. Wel they lost all of our business for life and everyone we know so there you go! The waiter made a ton of money off of us and often we had to ask for water and low and behold they were charging us for the water as well! Never going back to this place. The food was decent at best. They also charged $25 per margarita. With such a huge screw up on their end with the "accidental $550 tip" that was added, they should have stepped up and removed more than a $50 bottle from our bill and came to apologize directly to everyone at our table. Huge let down. We will be sure to continue to spread the word about this place and the shady practices that go down here.
awesome place awesome staff awesome food.
never disappointed. drinks are made right. location is great easy parking
Im not sure if it was the cook or what happened.
Brought my son here for his birthday allowed him to order anything he wanted to of course he goes for the biggest piece of meat. Lol. However, when the meat was brought out it was gross looking. No flavor and just a bunch of fat with some meat. I've had way better cuts and flavor at Outback. Not worth $150
Skip and DO NOT waste your dinero's here and head over to
Skip and DO NOT waste your dinero's here and head over to Fleming's, Ruth Chris, or Mastro's. We will NEVER come to this place ever again! We were recommended to come here from a work colleague. It was Easter Sunday and instead of cooking a nice dinner, we wanted to take our kids to a nice steak house dinner. (it was their first time) They got the steak meal off the kids meal. One of my kiddos wanted fries and the other wanted mashed potato's. Well, the waiter (Jesse) got it wrong and ended up ordering 2 fries instead. (He apparently forgot) We didn't say anything cause they were hungry. We noticed the kid's meat was bloody rare. (2/5) My DH and I split the "cowboy rib eye" with scalloped potatoes. I mentioned medium well (light pink and more done) and we when we received it, it was super bloody rare & looked raw (1/5) Really hard for me to see that as raw meat terrifies me. Even the manager (Chad) and waiter (Jesse) saw it and apologized & took it back & had to re-cooked it (2/5) 2nd time was fine but we had to wait. Steaks are nothing fancy. Sad part...... My two kiddos got major food poisoning by eating here within 12 -24 hours (both ends) sorry for TMI but it was super awful and they were traumatized. I immediately called and talked to Chad Litten next evening and explained what had happened. There was no empathy on what happened. Chad promised that he would call me back to touch base re: the situation after he talked to his manager (Jordan O'Brian) After 9 days of waiting to hear back from him, I was getting frustrated! I called and talked to the manager above him (Jordon O'Brian) and he was super shady and rude over the phone. Again, no empathy of what had happened and no apologies of Chad calling me back. Jordon did mentioned that Chad was supposed to call me back and he didn't know why he didn't... He mentioned the case was closed . Apparently Jordon doesn't like kids I could tell by the sound of his voice. Lack of empathy... After that conversation, he said he would call me back after he talked to VP. He then called me and again had made it sound like it was my problem to deal with and they couldn't do anything about it. No nothing. He made it sound like I was making it up. My hub had to take the day off of work to help care for one of our kids and my daughter had to miss her field trip that she was looking forward to. Poor thing rarely vomits but she had to take Zofran to make it stop. She mentioned to me that she never wanted to eat at Ranch House restaurant ever again. Poor thing and she loves a good steak. She mentioned she liked dad's steak better. For the amount of money we spent here ($425!) and to experience what we had experienced, my advice is to skip this restaurant and go to Fleming's or Mastro's Ocean Club. We always had wonderful experiences there! Lastly, we noticed Jesse charged us for a kid's drink that was supposed to be included. The kids's meals were $40 each so the drinks better be included. The 3 positive things I can remember that were good: scalloped mashed potatoes (5/5) wedge salad (3/5) tart dessert (4/5)and hazelnut desert (4/5)You can go to Fleming's on Tuesday night and get a Tomahawk Tuesday and save a ton of money and get wonderful service. If the Owner Andrew Edwards is reading this, I hope you take these reviews very seriously and hope you have read the same negative reviews of similar experiences from other customers. I still cannot forget the way I was treated from the managers listed above, especially Jordan O'Brian. (just read another review from 4 days ago with same experience)... the rudest manager I have ever encountered in my entire life. At least hire a manager that has good communication skills. It looks like they have gone through a few managers based off the previous negative reviews. It was def. not a true American regional cuisine experience Mr. Edwards. I have never wrote a negative review like this ever. I've never given a restaurant one star, it's a first for me. I was expecting high standards for a high-end, expensive, steakhouse. We ended up tipping more than we should have. Never again! The end Ps) the starter multi bread they offer with butter is a joke....dry, no flavor, cold, stale and yuck. Worst bread ever! My Texas toast tastes way better and even Cheesecake Factory bread way better and served fresh & warm... usually you can't stop eating bread, but this bread nobody wanted more of. Even with butter or ranch on it, it didn't even taste good (1/5)

Yum! Costly, but worth it! Steak dinner was delicious, as was dessert. High class , so dress nice.
We had an awful experience here on Friday night.
Rented a room out and paid thousands of dollars for dinner and drinks for a 40th birthday. Staff and management treated us terribly, it was truly horrific. We have reached out to Jordan O'Brien multiple times with no response. I would strongly advise that no one book a dinner here, especially for such a huge event. We are so dissatisfied in our experience from start to finish.
The Ranch Restaurant never fails to impress.
From the moment you step in, you're greeted with class and exemplary service. The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern farmhouse and upscale casual. The food, though not necessarily spectacular, is consistently solid and well-executed. Their steaks are particularly noteworthy, cooked to perfection and accompanied by delicious sides. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a memorable dining experience. However, I have some issues with the restaurant's policies, such as restrictions on bringing outside cakes and a perceived air of elitism. Overall my go to place for steaks.
Good place for good steak.
.. sides were good... appetizers were too small but tasty ...im def coming back... our dog loves the bone too!
Bad service/dirty/overpriced
The service was terrible, management was super unprofessional. I will never be back. Also overpriced and dirty. Gross
I wasn't NOT expecting what happened.
And how this place is. Don't worry it's all good. Let's get into it. From the moment I parked to the moment we walked in from the doors opening, to the hostess stand/counter this was a great first impression. We were a party of 4. They gave excellent corner seating at a booth. Once we sat down we were attended to immediately. And it didn't stop there. We were attended to continuously. Probably some of the BEST service at a steak house I've ever received. And I'm not exaggerating. I've been to your basics BOA, Masteos etc all trash. THIS was a far different experience. More personal and professional with everything provided. From the menu and its explanation. From the food to the specials. Our waiter Jose C did an outstanding job. With professionalism, clear speech and easy understanding that all the menu has to offer. From start to finish I don't have a single complaint. Let's move onto the food. Ceviche trilogy. This is as mixed.. the crab one tasted like imitation crab... even though they swear it wasn't... I don't know I think I know my crab lol. It's ok if you use it as a filler for using real crab and that's what they did. But just admit it. That's my only issue. However the heirloom and lobster mango ceviche was INSANE. Absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly in citrus. Marinated just right. Highly recommend just asking for those two if possible. NY strip. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Medium rare. One of the best NY strips I've ever had. Without a doubt. Five onion soup/french onion soup. Not too salty. Just the right amount of savory. Onions caramelized perfectly. Cheese melted perfectly. Can't go wrong with this if you like a good French onion soup. The drinks were amazing too! They don't skimp on the liquor and mixtures. Had a few and they were outstanding. I highly recommend the "now you see me" So would I recommend this place? I think that should be obvious by now. YES. If you like steak houses and want a different atmosphere. A bit more classy and less loud. With a much more sophisticated and older crowd? Go here. Enjoy!
Never disappoints.
Food and service are top notch. Perfect place for an intimate dinner .

The best food in Anaheim! This is the 58oz Ribeye cut to share. The service is amazing and we were able to sit outside on a nice March evening protected from the wind. Try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, it is my favorite dessert of all time! We also hosted an event at The Ranch. Everything was so easy and smooth! Their attention to detail is impeccable and all the food was amazing! I highly recommend their event team for any corporate gatherings!
Samantha was working last night and went Above and Beyond
Samantha was working last night and went Above and Beyond for me and my friends. Super friendly, accommodating, and informative. I would go again just for her. She even knows how to sign for hearing impaired - awesome! The servers were great and the live band was good too! Best place to people watch I tell ya! Our drinks were good but the carrot cake was heaven. Thanks again Samantha for all you did to keep us we'll taken care of. You truly are a gem!!!!
The service at this restaurant was next level not just from
The service at this restaurant was next level not just from our server, but from the entire staff. The food was also really good, but I was expecting more from the fillet steak considering the price and the fact that this is a steakhouse. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if it's in your budget because it is pricey
$6000.
00 Louis XIII Rare Cask Cognac kind of a night! Our friends were treating us to dinner over this past winter holidays. When they recommended "The Ranch", we said sure as this place has been on my radar for being one of the best Steak houses in Orange County. I had their Chilean Sea Bass that was melt in my mouth! Risotto paired well with the fish. ($64.00) Ian had their Prime Rib. Our friends recommended trying an end cut, and our waiter (Happened to be named Ian too) was able to score one for us. Ian loved his dish. He could manage to complete only half of the served steak. ($78.00) Mrs. only wanted to try their Scallop Potato ($15.00) and Green Bean Casserole ($15.00). Being from the Midwest, we are both suckers for Casserole!! She loved these 2 items. Service by Ian was very good. He was on top of all our requests throughout the evening. Valet parking is convenient and easy. Unbeknownst to us, our friends had ordered a special toast for us tonight. At the end of our meal, the general manager of the restaurant showed up with a brand new bottle of Louis XIII Rare Cask. He popped the bottle open, used a metal syringe to scoop an Oz each for my friend and I. My jaw hit the floor when he informed us of the price. The drink was smooth, and left a lasting taste in my mouth for a couple of hours. This is a once in a lifetime sort of an experience and I am happy that it happened at this restaurant. Book your next special day at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Nice Chinese food with fresh materials and good taste with transitional Chinese style. Already tired four times.
This steakhouse is probably in my top 3 hands down.
It was my husband's 1st time going to The Ranch and he absolutely loved it. What he loved the most is the ranch style combined with upscale decor (since he has a tequila company [3R Tequila] named after his grandfathers ranch) so it hit home. The service was AMAZING!! Our server was informative, kind and attentive! Both chicken and steak were so delicious and made just right.. oh yes the bread is freshly made and it's so flavorful! Best one yet!! Not to mention the drinks, of course my husband had to have a drink with tequila in it and he was not let down (he had 3) Will definitely return soon!

High end steakhouse in an odd location of Anaheim (bottom of an office building near warehouses). Great service, excellent food and wine selection.
Food was delicious and the service excellent, very relaxing
Food was delicious and the service excellent, very relaxing ambiance I would recommend it to everyone
Excellent food! It was the perfect evening.
Thank you Chef Kevin for taking care of us!
I am writing this review about a month after my visit to
I am writing this review about a month after my visit to the Ranch. We went for my Mother in Laws birthday. The restaurant wasn't overly busy that night. From what I remember, the service was nothing over the top, and given the prices here are comparable to/slightly more expensive than your typical steakhouse, you would think they would REALLY focus on the service. I will say though, the Tomahawk Ribeye was INSANE. This was one of the best steaks I've had at a restaurant. It was seasoned so well, and marbled perfectly with fat that it almost disintegrated in your mouth. The potatoes it came with were bomb too. All the sides were really good as well. I would come here again just for that steak. The crème brûlée was fire too!
The food was incredible.
I ordered half dozen of the oysters which were the best oysters I've ever had thus far. I also ordered the filet mignon, medium rare. It was like biting into a piece of butter. The meat just melted in my mouth. Lastly, I ordered a crème brûlée so creamy with vanilla goodness. Service was elite. The ambiance was sleek and dark with warm lighting. It made you feel cozy.
It's worth trying.
Very pleasant place, large and beautiful hall, very good service. Excellent food, good wine list. Worth knowing.
Pull Out the Stops, and the Wallet!
A really good restaurant, virtually every dish was absolutely first rate. Excellent service, fine dining ambiance. I had the New York strip steak, it was fantastic. Onion soup as the first course was as good as it gets. Everyone in our party of five was raving. The price? At least you get a virtually perfect meal for it!
Top End Restaurant
Top End on everything ranging from ambiance, service, food selection and food taste/quality. Fantastic appetizers (recommend the Ceviche Trilogy) followed by an incredible main. Our waiter for this business dinner, recommended the best cocktail in America winner of 2022, Now You See Me, which was incredibly good. I definitely recommend and would return.
What a pity !
A Caesar salad or chicken is an option... incredible... then the salad is just a green salad with pseudo croutons in taste... for $18 and the piece of barely grilled chicken cut into strips... it's 6 euros more! And nothing else... even the sauce is not tasty! A shame On the other hand, the decor is very beautiful and twice too many servers!
Bad management
We were shamed for not meeting a table minimum. I come regularly with my kids and husband and always get food and a bottle of wine. I was shamed for not hitting $300. I am so disappointed in this establishment. I am handicapped and require seating to be able to be here and am being treated like crap. The manager came to confront me twice. What a terrible experience.
Upselling tactics, not worth it
Corporate Christmas party dinner. The food was relatively decent, but it is not Maestro’s. However, upselling and pressure tactics to inflate the bill was clear specially when it is a large party. A la cart menu was presented as a set menu pushing every one to choose several courses as if they were included. Indiscriminate water bottles, many of which remained on the table. Wine pouring into empty glasses for those who already have other drinks to deplete bottles quickly. These tactics are unethical business practice and a turn off. $300+ per person is way over priced for what you get. Will not go back or recommend.
Best in OC
Amazing restaurant. Food and service is the best in OC. Get the cowboy ribeye or porterhouse steak. Ceviche, fried quail, and carpaccio are on point appetizers. Pecan pie and Milky way desserts are highly recommended
Well that was FUN!
Went to a Woodford whiskey dinner in the Saloon and it was so much fun! Great live music, line dance lessons before the band, Jeremy and the staff there were so friendly and my compliments to the Chef! The first course was Petaluma Quail and I was very apprehensive to try it BUT glad I did. It was so good and not sure what the secret sauce is but … try it! The Woodford tasting was a special treat. Really enjoyed everything about the evening.
For this price, steak should be very good, I’ve had far better filet from Costco for 1/4 the price
Service was great. Filet was tough and under seasoned. Rest of meal was good. Mentioned to manager, seemed indifferent. For the $ it cost, was disappointed in the steak.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
