Excellent Hotel: Well-Located and Well-Run
Our first time, but not our last time, staying at this lovely hotel. This is a quiet, historical property with attention to detail and good furnishings. The staff at the front entrance welcomed us and graciously ushered us in. Then Olivia at the front desk, alert, efficient, and charming, offered us an upgrade to a corner room, 628, which was still quiet, but with more space and views. Then everything worked well on the way to our room. I appreciated the fresh flowers in the lobby and the ambiance of both beauty and functionality. I am so glad I did not smell artificial air freshener nor cleaning products. Also there was no obtrusive elevator music, just quiet. The room decor was practical, modern, and comfortable. The shades and blackout drapes for the many windows let us adjust the natural light. There were both bedside lamps and reading lights in the headboard. The bedsheets were luxurious and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast at Parallel 37 was fresh and enjoyable, not daring and provocative. I recommend the hospitality professionals at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco and I found our stay an excellent value thanks to the offered upgrade.

Loved the hotel. Trip wasn’t bad from the airport. Around 30 minutes. Check in fast and efficient. The room was very well decorated and it was clean and large. Room service was good but pricey. TV channels were also really good. Really handy was if you ordered food from Uber etc they would allow the driver to come to the room and drop it off. Disappointed that we were not called prior to arriving for our children’s details for the Ritz Kids Club goodies. I did mention this on check in and they were more then accommodating. Location was a short walk from Union Square. Really pleased we stayed here just a short walk away and not in the square. Concierge gave us some great recommendations. Sears for breakfast and Sotto Mare for an Italian meal. We would definitely recommend the hotel and if we come back we will stay again.

FABULOUS. Beautiful hotel. Excellent club level amenities. Staff was the A+ helpful and friendly. Rudy went above and beyond. Easy check in. No hassles. Shower drain rain slowly and was fixed within an hour when we called. We didn’t want to leave. Our stay was a slice of heaven.

This was a fabulous stay! Our check in process was smooth and we headed straight to the Club Lounge. Everyone in the lounge was so kind and helpful especially Leo, Carmen and Vicky. Our room was well appointed and housekeeping did a great job. I appreciate the had work of the he valet and bellman as well. We have stayed here many times and I think this was the best one! We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyOlder Hotel but great Club level
I was a bit hesitant to give 5 stars, but in the end I did for a number of reasons. First the Hotel looked old and a bit run down. Also the rooms were in very old fashion, especially bathrooms. However, the Hotel and especially on the Club level, really goes the extra mile ! Super nice staff and very much a welcoming atmosphere ! Food and drinks are almost nonstop in the lounge and you can overlook this older property with the positive items.

Fantastic dinner at The Grotto. Perfectly prepared seafood in classic San Francisco location. Super fresh seafood options in updated space. Highly recommend if you want the freshest SF seafood experience.

Be the first to ReplyGreat at the beginning, WORST at the ends.Bad experience stay at Ritz
Everything was wonderful and awesome at the beginning till the ends of check out. However, when I leave, i checked out at the reception and mentioned deposit will be refund and cancel. Nothing was charge. After a few days later, I check my bank online and found the Ritz has charge me $150. It was unbelievable and I was shocked. Then I called to the hotel and asked, they don’t even know what’s ur charge from. They have to heck and get back the next day. I was surprised, they do whatever they want with your credit card deposit and charge whatever they want. It was insecure. And you never know when u called to hotel and what’s charge. The worst experience and disappointed by Ritz Carlton San Francisco. It was not a five stars hotel should be. I’m sorry and 200 points doesn’t do anything! The Ritz Carlton ruined our family holiday.
