Meh, at best.
Visited for a birthday dinner, party of 11 on a Saturday with a reservation. The apps weren't anything to rave about. Feta cheese with calamari? Loved the concept of the hand cut chips, but a cup of sour cream? Maybe it's a local thing. Lo

Absolutely loved our meals here; I got the Smith Burger with mixed greens. My husband got the oyster sampler, and since we're from Houston, the flavor and quality was so much better than what he was used to. App was burrata and dessert was stick
Random spot for brunch and it didn't disappoint.
Cute seating outside and fast service, goat cheese omelette was fluffy and flavorful. Fruit and yogurt bowl with granola was delicious too.
Extremely disappointing.
The coffee was cold, the bread was stale and the omelette was mediocre. Ambiance was nice and the staff were very sweet. Stalls in women's bathroom were broken.

Ambiance was great.
Got seated right away. Great server (Carlos) and very knowledgeable on the menu and gave great suggestions. Fries were dynamite. Sauce was incredible. Flat iron (probably as expected) steak was very chewy, but seasoned well. Solid experience and woul

Delicious
The Smith totally hit the spot after a long day of sightseeing. We were hungry, thirsty & tired and landed in the right place. Our server (Niyah) was delightful and steered us towards delicious choices. Highly recommend!
Good food - attentive staff
Very good food and service. Busy place around 1:30pm on a Saturday afternoon during the Cherry Blossom season. Did not have reservations but we were able to sit at a shared table with other patrons. They served breakfast and lunch at the time we we
Relaxed atmosphere. Great dining experience.
Although very busy and and a little noisy, the food, wine, and service were on point. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Cherry Blossoms and Saturday Brunch
Delightful brunch sitting outside on a warm Saturday. The food was excellent. The service was friendly and accommodating.
Great place to go to after Capitals game
Went to the Smith after a Capitals game. Had an excellent meal with terrific service. Menu had lots of options. The ricotta gnocchi was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Great location, block from metro.
Return visit as good as the first.
Once again it didn’t fail to impress. Bar service was stellar! Friendly and efficient. Food and drinks are top shelf. Highly recommend.
Came in at 9:30am for breakfast.
The patio seating area had a number of patrons, but the main dining room was mostly empty. It was unclear if there was a host and if we should wait, but after a few minutes she returned from the patio and sat us inside. The bar was empty and there wa

The food and ambiance at The Smith was absolutely phenomenal! We ordered the quinoa and kale salad with grilled chicken and the brickpressed chicken and both dishes were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The ambiance was fun and lively--great
First night in town started off just right!

Based on breakfast.
The egg Benedict was awesome. Great ham, perfect egg and hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were good. A little salty but good. The interior is way cool.
Good food.
I had the fish & chips, which was very different than what I've had in England - in a good way. I have never liked mushy peas, but The Smith found a way to make them really good! Friendly service.
Super cool brunch spot with a nice brunch menu.
Brunch is 30 dollars and includes mink donuts in chocolate sauce (amazing), yogurt with granola and a breakfast entree as well as bread. The baked eggs alla vodka were amazing! Service was great and it was a super great atmosphere.

This restaurant is the slowest restaurant in DC!!! They give you a time when your food will be available for pick up only for you to get there and it's NOT ready AND you have to wait another 25 mins. 0 out of 10, would not recommend unless you're not
The Smiths in DC
Really really.. delicious..Hann was a fabulous waiter. You must try the shrimp Tagliatelle made with squid ink pasta.. also the brick chicken was excellent . In DC central? Give the Smiths a try!
Made a reservation for 10 people on a Sunday morning.
The table did not have water glasses for each diner. Also, we ordered coffee and refills were slow, wish we had a coffee pot at the table like the water(sparkling and still/tap) carafes/bottles. The Eggs Benedict and I also tried the cornbread dish.
Nice restaurant well attended
Good restaurant. When we arrived it was full, but they immediately gave us a table. Very delicious food, pasta, salad. The waitress very attentive. Fast service. To return without hesitation.

Great mocktails, and good ambiance! The Mac n cheese and Brussel sprout appetizers were great.
I was there myself, I wanted to have lunch, I found it on TripAdvisor
The shrimp were not tasty, the steak was not bad, it was ordinary, but for $55 for 8 ounces you expect a lot more. Otherwise, the water was brought ok quickly, I sat outside, it was hot, but I chose it myself. It's very noisy inside
A quick stop became favorite spot !
Hands down the best Chicken Sandwich I’ve had in years ! Service excellent. Ambiance excellent beer and drinks 5 star. Kettle Chips with Blue cheese was really good too! Only went for lunch but now I’m too full to even eat dinner!
just all right
I find myself on the same page of many of the other reviewers here. While this was an ok dining experience, it felt a little pricy for the food in both quality and portion. I guess that may be just what is expected in this area, but don't know that
Loud and Expensive
If you would like to carry on conversation with your friends this isn't the place to go. It is way too loud. We made reservations and still had to wait 30 minutes. Now the service, our server was amazing. He went out of his way to be helpful a
Great Service and Food!
Great spot for dinner! I went to a few other restaurants during my trip to DC and glad we came across this restaurant. The service was a lot better than some others in the area. The food was hot and tasty.
The Smith Washington DC Poor Experience
Yesterday I had lunch at The Smith in Washington DC and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon being seated, it took an excruciating 15 minutes for our server to even approach our table to take our order. To add insult to injury
Cute place, great breakfast
Great breakfast, cute vibes, great service. We went in January but DC had a record high of almost 80 degrees! Doors were open and it was nice to sit inside with the breeze/sun. Food was delicious, kind of bummed we didn’t go back for dinner!
