We have high expectations for hotel at a price like this.
However I wouldn't think the Regis at Miami worths it. Cons: We asked the front desk about motorcycle rental, they said they will contact us about it with more details, and we never heard from them. There's a stain on the sheet when we moved in. The TV is super small, even the Marriott Biscayne Bay has bigger and better ones. The fridge doesn't work. The toilet lid makes a huge sound when you put it down like in Motel 6. There's statches inside the tub. The balcony is dirty, The benches are full of dirts. The control system is absolutely stupid. Pros: The tub is big. View is good. The end.
Be the first to ReplyPlace has gone downhill significantly.
The staff seems unhappy. And management just isn't present at what used to be one of the highest end resorts in south Florida. Staff also told us they think the hotel is selling and that is why the service is not good anymore. Will not stay again. Very expensive room rates without the great service.
Be the first to ReplyA few birthdays ago we did a group celebration at high tea.
It was incredibly high quality. From service to selection and the goodie try oh my. I need to make my way back here for that. Very nice ambiance as well. More recently I attended an Indian Persian wedding at the hotel. The wedding hall with view was beautiful. Popping up to the rooms is five star finishings and comfort. The place is expensive. They're looking to deliver in five star experience looking for that five star customer.

The best weekend! Room was spectacular, food was wonderful, but they need one more eatery on-site. The pool area was wonderful, only downer was the Spa. We had a couples massage and we could hear all the playground noise outside the window. So it took away from the full zen atmosphere for the price you pay. Otherwise a solid place.
Be the first to ReplyI want to love this hotel.
The architecture and decor is outstanding. First class. The valet staff is friendly, quick, and professional. I've never had issues with housekeeping. Love the location, love the pool, love the beach access. I can't say enough great things about the pool. The ADULT pool. The one upstairs that's reserved for people who don't scream and splash. It is PURE JOY and my choice for BEST HOTEL POOL IN THE USA 2023. And I've been to most of the high-end ones all over the country. Perfectly heated, always immaculate, friendly staff, great view of the ocean, large and comfortable. Prepare to pay about $1000 a room per night, even in off-season. Here are the issues that need attention: 1. Maintenance and construction noise by the pool. I don't pay this kind of money to not be able to relax all day at the pool. I have, on more than one occasion, attempted to get a guest relations manager to stop very loud noises from tile cutting going on right next to the pool. The manager REFUSED to come to the pool, claiming he "couldn't leave his desk." I finally went over there myself and pulled the plug on the cutting machine and told the workers to go home. 2. Lower management staff is always very young and inexperienced. Not what you'd expect at a hotel of this caliber. They are ill-equipped to solve issues with guests. Their boss, the General Manager, is often nowhere to be found (or likely hiding in a back office). 3. I travel with a service animal. I've stayed here for 2 weeks at a time on 4 previous occasions. Never an issue. On visit #5 I was treated like a potential problem, not as a VIP. I was illegally asked for paperwork to prove my dog was a service animal. I was asked to sign illegal forms which stated my service animal could not accompany me into bar and restaurant areas. I was asked to pay an extra "cleaning fee." Of course, I was going to put up with none of this discriminatory nonsense, and had to cross out several sections of their form. 4. This is Miami. Heat can exceed 100 degrees F. The air conditioning in the rooms and hallways is horribly inadequate. Even after informing management of my need for a room that could get down to 65 degrees F, they were unable to accommodate me. I have had several interactions with engineering staff. They told me the building was simply not engineered for that kind of cooling performance. So my breathing suffers at night. 5. Do NOT arrive early and expect to get into your room. Many non-stop flights, like mine from Missouri, land in Miami at 9am. This means you will likely arrive at the hotel around 10.30am. Even if you "check in" on the Marriott app, you are NOT checked in. I was told no, check-in time is at 4pm and anything before that is subject to availability. So on my last visit I was sleeping on the couch in the lobby, exhausted from having to get up for a 5am flight. Housekeeping didn't arrive to start cleaning rooms until late morning. 4 hours later I finally got into my room. I asked staff what VIP people do to avoid this and was told to spend an extra $1000 to pay for the room on the day PRIOR to my arrival. Wow. I suggested they simply not sell a group of rooms so that early arriving VIPs can be accommodated. Judging by their reaction to that concept, it's clear they have no intention of doing that. 6. The Marriott app wants to be your best friend. But using the chat feature for issues is hit or miss. You'll end up talking to a robot for the first few minutes PRETENDING to be a person. After a wait you may or may not get a real person to chat back. Often I got someone that didn't really speak English. If I had to guess, this chat feature is being outsourced by Marriott to Malaysia, and all messages are likely relayed back to the hotel. This is a guess on my part, as I've had this problem at all Marriott properties. 7. Room service is OK. The menu is very limited; the service charge is not. Do NOT tip. It's already been charged to you. So, you think these issues are enough to send you running down the street to the Ritz Carlton? You could make that choice as I did once, but believe it or not, it's even worse over there.

First the bad: I called housekeeping at three different times hours apart and they never showed to clean our room. When I spoke to the housekeeping manager we set a time for them to come daily for the rest of the trip. He offered me a bottle of wine for my trouble and then never delivered it. Very weird The good: after the first day housekeeping showed at the correct time daily. The resort is beautiful. Service from the pool is outstanding and the rooms and views are stunning. The great: I had an accident in the bathroom and they sent Hubert up to help me patch up my cut toe. Great guy and I know his job is to make sure I don't sue but that was never going to happen anyway it was an accident but he was very helpful and followed up the next day. He offered me a day bed at the pool which I didn't take him up on. Again not their fault I'm blind without my glasses
Be the first to ReplyThis is our second year staying at the St.
Regis for Memorial Day weekend. This year we brought the kiddos. The hotel is remarkable. The lobby is stunning. Everyone in every space is there to make stay exceptional. The ocean view from the spacious balcony is enough to bring me back every year. My favorite time to spend is at the pool/beach. Shout out to Yancy, Sabrina and Yami who provided exceptional service. Yami even remembered us from last year! The champagne saboring is also a special treat. Giordan did a lovely job and was so welcoming to the kiddos too.

I have stayed at hotels around the world, you name it, I have stayed in it. However, this hotel is by far the worst. The staff is untrained and are least accommodating individuals on the face of the earth. You could be dying and they would walk by without blinking an eye. The hotel is outdated and dirty. I do not understand how they call themselves a st. Regis. A holiday in is nicer. I guess that speaks to their management- untrained, unprofessional, and stuck up. I never write reviews bashing an institution however this place was so egregious I have to recommend you stay away.
Be the first to ReplySo disappointing.
This place is not what it used to be. The service is TERRIBLE. Especially the front desk. Checked in late after a flight delay and was told I was being DOWNGRADED from my room booked. As a Titanium Elite, I was hoping to be upgraded and had even requested an upgrade at the time of booking and was told it would be noted, based upon availability. However, the evening front desk manager told me that rooms at the St Regis are NEVER eligible for upgrades, regardless of availability. He also told me that while my room might seem like a downgrade based on my assumptions that it was actually quite similar because the size of the room was only 50 sf smaller and the view was relatively the same. I asked about the price difference - we had booked an Astor Suite and were given a standard room (not even a Grand Luxe which is in between). While I can't comment on the size and views being similar, that may be true, I do know that the suite we booked was over $400 more than the standard room we were being downgraded to and also didn't have a kitchenette. As others state, the rooms are outdated but my main issue was just that we paid for something we did not receive with no compensation. To make things worse- there were PLENTY of rooms and suite upgrades available on the website which I pointed out when they said they were "at capacity." I was then told that those were paid upgrades and that they also couldn't confirm what was showing online but they weren't available. I will say I enjoyed the breakfast buffet but we were charged two buffets extra for our twin boys who are toddlers and only drank milk and scraps of our breakfast was offered to them that they refused. Since two of our buffets were included with Titanium I did not complain about being charged for 2 instead of 4 breakfasts, but normally at a luxury hotel, toddlers would be free. It's possible they would have removed this if I made a big to do, but on the menu however it does state the children's buffet price (same as adult) so once I verified that the bill for four breakfasts was ours (2 subtracted) I did not complain. I did enjoy the spa. The breakfast and spa and pool service were all nice but the hotel service was sorely lacking. The gentlemen by the pool were very nice and friendly. The butler service however was nonexistent. They skipped housekeeping one day despite our calling for it twice. When we returned from the pool at the end of the day we asked for extra towels since housekeeping didn't come. The butler cheerfully said "it's not my job to apologize I'm just the messenger and I did put in both of your housekeeping requests. You can ask housekeeping to apologize tomorrow. They are gone for the day." The butler said housekeeping left at 7 pm although the hotel is supposed to offer turn down service. We never got the extra towels. The next day housekeeping was very friendly so I wonder if it was an issue with the butler service. TLDR There were several other minor issues throughout the stay (took our bags to a different room, room key not working twice, skipped housekeeping one whole day despite two requests, and forgetting to provide towels request.) I did not have an issue with the pool or the spa or breakfast but the issues with feeling nickel and dimed with my two year olds being charged forty dollar all in buffet prices and the butler service requests being unresponsive for housekeeping as well as turn down and the front desk (downgraded upon check in and no late check out given to elites- was told 11 am and can call day of. They said they couldn't even try to modify earlier) really tainted our stay. Would hate to see how they treat non-elites and Ambassadors!
Be the first to ReplySt Regis! I'll start by saying - surprisingly
St Regis! I'll start by saying - surprisingly disappointing. I had high hopes for this Hotel, it is the St. Regis- right? so you'd expect the service to be top notch comparable to a Ritz Carlton or Four Season. The check in process is awkward they sit you down as if you're about to open a bank account at a high end bank, but they fail at making you feel welcome, especially with people lining up to wait in line behind you- the whole thing felt weird the front desk agent didn't make us feel welcome it felt more like we should be lucky they are allowing us to stay at such a prestige establishment. At some point I walked away and let my better half finish the transaction. After check in we made our way to the pool for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was much better at the pool, but they did run out of olives and lemons, served us a Bloody Mary without- no attempt to get any of the missing items, and they were out of ginger ale ...not what you expect for a hotel with an average rate of 2k a night. The room and views are great definitely, but overall not worth the money.

Do not park here !!!!!!! I CAME TO at Regis to perform a hair service on a client and parked my car with the valet. On top of my car I had a rooftop cargo, which they completely destroyed. I have them the time and day so that they can find the damage being done on the camera. They told me because I don't have my original valet ticket , they could not find the video on the cameras. It makes no sense !! If I'm giving you the exact time and date , you should be able to find the video footage . I had to order a brand new one because they damaged it so bad it wouldn't close . They were no help to me!!!!
Be the first to ReplyI have been to St.
Regis hotels all over the world and generally only travel to luxury hotels and with the exorbitant amount of money spent comes an expectation to be treated with a certain level of accommodation and service. This place is an absolute JOKE. They do not deserve to keep their St. Regis branding. They were not only not accommodating at all- whatsoever - for anything our entire stay, but they also couldn't respond to simple requests for anything. A call for someone to come up to the room with something required 3 more follow up calls minimum. The rooms were not cleaned by noon, the staff was rude and I non-accommodating and of course everything was insanely overpriced (which you expect at this hotel but it comes with the territory for there to be outstanding or at worst good service with that). We truly never experienced worse service at any hotel. 0 stars if that was an option. Would never give them another dollar. Go anywhere else, they don't deserve your money. St. Regis hotels you should change your name off this hotel. 0 stars.
Be the first to ReplyCurrently staying here for our babymoon which we've been so
Currently staying here for our babymoon which we've been so looking forward to, but I must admit I'm surprised by a few things about the hotel. We're Marriott Bonvoy members, so we drained some points to indulge in a few days on the beach. The rooms, shared spaces are beautiful and employees are very nice, but the five-star feeling stops there. I've been really bummed to find ourselves basically waiting on ourselves the last couple days. There is some really loud construction going on at the high rise next door, starting early and ending late and echoing throughout the grounds. I totally understand that there's just no way around this sometimes, so I called for some ear plugs, only to be told they don't have any. I've stayed in Days Inn's that have ear plugs with concierge, so especially given the construction work, this surprised me. I was told to try CVS. I asked about aloe gel, after getting a sunburn, and was toldto try CVS again -- only to see aftersun gel available by the beach after all. Bizarre. Being pregnant I also asked for a couple extra pillows, which they promptly sent up -- only to wake up to the overwhelming scent of aftershave emanating from them. Turns our they were used, and dirty, and my hair now reeked of some man's perfume. Trying to not think about how unhygienic that is. Ordering lunch on the beach, we had to work so hard to flag someone down for an order that eventually my husband just gave up and headed in to place it himself. The order came with missing items so once again, he headed in to take care of it himself. I'm not one for critical reviews, so it bums me out to share all this. Nevertheless, it does feel like a very special place and it's an absolutely gorgeous resort, and maybe for a casual price I'd keep my disappointment at bay -- but for those expecting what I did for top dollar in Miami... I just don't know.
Be the first to ReplyThe St.
Regis is a luxury beachfront hotel offering a range of amenities and services, including several restaurants and bars, a spa, fitness center, and outdoor pool. The hotel features luxurious rooms and suites with contemporary decor. Not to mention fantastic large rooms with glassed in bathrooms. The property is beautifully situated on the beach. We stayed in grand deluxe room. The room was very spacious with a good size balcony overlooking the beach & ocean. Guests can enjoy the hotel's private beach, water sports activities, and access to the St. Regis Beach Club. The entire staff that we encountered for our stay were incredible. The hotel prides itself on providing excellent service and hospitality to its guests, The hotel's service standards are often praised as being exceptional, with many guests feeling well-cared for throughout their stay. They have butler service and no need is to large or small. You feel like a king or Queen!!!!!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is no where near a 5 star resort.
We are here now, and the room that we waited hours for is disgusting. Stains everywhere on the carpet- you have to play hopscotch to avoid stepping on a stain. Took forever to get room, and when it was ready, no one bothered to tell us. As we were walking towards our room, we were greeted with carpet that looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months, if not years. Room smells overwhelmingly of air freshener. So much so that we waiting on the balcony with the door open until the smell goes away. They have to be trying to mask some kind of odor with this. This hotel needs a huge renovation- and until they get one, it is absolute highway robbery to charge what they are charging for room. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts. Based on our experience, Amex should strongly consider removing this property from that list.

Regis Bal Harbour Resort is a quality place to stay on the beach. I really like the location and overall relaxing atmosphere that they have created here. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that you have everything that you need
Be the first to ReplyNot a five star experience.
Super nice room with oversized terrace. Amazing location. Only pool Hot tub not working during our entire stay. Had to book unwanted and mediocre spa appointments merely to use the indoor hot tub, but that too was broken as it was warm not hot and manager rudely said "i will call the engineer but it can not be set above 84 degrees." Well i have been to every high end spa and also googled it, so yah 100degrees is normal not 84! This hotel was major disappointment.Layout of hotel does not flow; with spa on one floor, depressing looking gym with no view on another floor, adult pool with broken jacuzzi on another level, and annoying electronic elevators. Drapes and lights in room also on electronic panels that do not work properly, and one can not see the panel without eyeglasses, one can not turn lamp on without getting up and going to panel on other side of room, hitting drape button only closes them halfway, etc, oh so annoying. In sum this hotel has lots of flash (too many mirrors & marble) and too little substance (important amenities not working or missing...ie no sofa or coffee maker in my room, TV not working). They did fix tv and bring coffee maker mid stay.As a loyal Bonvoy (spg heritage) customer, and having been to almost all the luxury properties, Marriott should be embarrassed by having this hotel wear this banner. Will try Ritz Carlton or W next time, but never ever will be back here, maybe never ever to any St. Regis again. This was a mother daughter graduation gift trip, we made the best of it, but this hotel ruined it. A hotel this size should have more then one hot-tub, just as every Westin does. I suggest removing one or more of the stupid water fountain features and replacing with more hot-tubs! This is supposed to be a top spa, and it just is not. And my view of an astro turf covered rooftop?Perhaps one star is too harsh, but I spoke to several managers who said they would help with the situation, and they each blew me off. So yah I am angry. Correct remedy would have been access to jacuzzi at Residences or access to spa without having to have treatments. And now my husband reminding me of the $45 daily resort fee, so my anger is still brewing. Will have to get those charges refunded!

The absolute best hotel/resort that I've ever stayed at in South Beach!! I won't make this review long because when you're great you're GREAT.Stunning from the entrance to the suite. Fantastic ocean views with a large patio to chill and enjoy the water. Although I love children, I don't have any so I can appreciate an adult only pool which I took full advantage of! The lovely pool host must have sensed that because she immediately hooked a brotha UP! LOLThis place is as swanky as I've ever experienced. The night time crew of three, enters your suite and attend to your every possible need making your evening slumber perfect! If you're in the mood to splurge when in SOBE, definitely book at the St. Regis.. Oh yeah, Bal Harbour Mall AKA Rodeo Drive in a compact space, is right across the street.. They will gladly take the remainder of your $$$$$.. Lol
Be the first to ReplyMy daughter just celebrated her wedding at the St.
Regis Hotel. Place is magnificent. The wedding was a smashing success. The band was excellent. The issues I experienced, and I later found out was not, unfortunately, rare. One of the stations we chose was sushi for the cocktail hour. The station was drained, depleted within 15 minutes. I approached one of the waiters and he explained that they only prepared 2 pieces per person (there were only 150 people) and the guest were taking more than that. The cost for this station is $75 per person. This was reprehensible. The catering chef/kitchen supervisor was even less than helpful. Fortunately, the young man in charge of our party was wonderful, extremely apologetic and helpful. He was able to push their staff to quickly produce and restock the sushi station. The main ballroom did not have the same supervising staff. People were served the wrong main. Steaks were over done. When guest asked to be changed, nothing was done. Getting a coffee was hit and miss. Asking for a different dessert, when you found a waiter that would listen, was useless. The waiter never reappeared. Our banquet director Jennifer, was wonderful, but was not there during our party. The tasting that we experienced prior to our event was delicious, outstanding and 5 star. The hotel and banquet facility was supposed to be a 5 star venue. Their credentials need to be revisited. My star review would be 2 1/2.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good as well as the customer service.
However the room was damaged and dirty. Can't believe they would charge this much for a rundown room. Location is nice but that's about it. Nothing special about the hotel besides that. Room was ridiculous.
