Be the first to ReplyI travel weekly and monthly to San Francisco.
The St. Regis is far and above the best hotel in San Francisco. I am an Ambassador Member of Marriott and this is a crown jewel! The rooms are so divine and spectacular, the bar is super sexy with a great drink and food menu and the gym is great! This is beyond spectacular and will wow you at every moment at this property.
Be the first to ReplyThis is the first time I am staying at the St.
Regis. Their service here will be hard to find and beat anywhere else! All the staff are extremely kind, thoughtful, responsive to all needs. I am here for an event and they made accommodations for me, my baby, and my service dog. For my baby they included a crib and some toys. They printed out a menu for me because I could not get the QR code to work. They did not bother me about my service dog whatsoever. The check in process was incredibly easy and smooth. The food, especially the warm bread, that comes with in-room private dining is a delicious flavor that I have not tasted before. It had tumeric, cinnamon, fennel seeds for one flavor, and a beet juice bread, I think for the other flavor. I was able to make a reservation for afternoon tea at the Astra. And they called me directly for confirmation of my reservations. Top to bottom, everyone, my stay, all of it, was spectacular!

My purse was stolen while sitting at the bar at St Regis on a Sunday evening. I was shocked to have this happen. Even more shocked that the security officer at the hotel reviewed the security footage and told me it looked like a professional thief. I assumed I was at an establishment that would be staffed appropriately and experienced enough to prevent just such a thing from happening. I was even more shocked when the staff offered no substantial action that evening and told someone from the claims department would follow up. When I heard nothing from the hotel I followed up the next morning about the incident I was even more shocked- or maybe not- when the junior security staff asked me to call back later in the day because they were short staffed. i did receive a follow up call from the claims department advising me that they felt no sense of responsibility and only offered their apologies. Their ambivalency was shocking. I gave the impression this was not an uncommon incident. Not at all the level of competency or service I have come experienced at similar establishments. The hotel is complicit in allowing this to happen due to their admittance of lack of necessary security staffing. Maybe next time I will go to a dive bar where I may be safer.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I stayed at the St.
Regis San Francisco back in October 2020 and revisited the hotel bar this past week. My wife and I stayed at the St. Regis on the cusp of the end of the first wave of COVID in 2020. Many of the restaurants and gathering areas were still not open to the public at the time, so my wife and I mainly stayed in our room when at the hotel. We were luckily upgraded to a beautiful one-bedroom suite on the corner of a floor. The suite was impeccably clean, and beautifully adorned. Likewise our view was a stunning aerial view of the art district. The staff were extremely kind and attentive, and further the butler service was always timely. Upon my revisit to the hotel in 2022, I noticed the lobby was redecorated and open. I decided to have a drink and burger. My old fashioned was delicious and delightfully alcohol forward. My burger was awesome and contained perfectly portioned ingredients. While eating, I realized I visited the hotel during the nightly champagne sabering and was lucky enough to witness it as well as receive a free glass. All said, the St. Regis, like all St. Regis's I have visited is truly next level and I highly recommend it.

This place is fantastic! The check-in front desk was so helpful and kind, and I found myself as an elite member cause I forgot; I got a gracious upgrade in our room. The room and views are breathtaking. We were on the 19th floor. The overall experience of the hotel and its staff (valet, housekeeping, amenities, food, drinks etc) was just so fantastic. I swear we are coming here every visit to SF. I want to point out the excellent morning staff at the restaurant downstairs; they are all knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind, especially the male and female team. I wish I had gotten their name, but they were so friendly and made me and my family feel at home in such a beautiful environment. Thank you so much for the welcome and experience! (Stay 9-12 Sept 2022) oh can't beat the location! It's perfect!

Excellent customer service, great location, extremely comfortable beds. While they do not currently have in room coffee outside of private dining, I have been informed Nespresso machines are on the way. Would definitely stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyA good high end hotel with a great location.
Enjoyed the free breakfast, much better than your typical made-to-order place. Also enjoyed the ~15min morning walk to the Saturday Ferry Building farmers market.Rooms were nice was a classic / understated / contemporary look. Outdoor roof area was closed off. Was good to try out the peloton during a nonbusy time.

Been to different properties and always have good experiences, that's why it was surprising and disappointed with the valet service at this place. Had my car parked and ask to charge it up, after 5 hours it didn't have enough (15 %) to go more than 25 miles?? Took over 30 minutes to get the car from the garage. This is how long it took to get charged at roadside for 15.'%. In top of this, a clean car going in, came back with a dirty car with marks all over ever door? Getting different excuses/stories from different people I spoke to including that the parking is operated by an independent company from the hotel. Being a lifetime member of Marriott Bonvoy, this is the first time I had this type of experience from any Marriott hotel at any level, and definitely not what I would expect from their high end hotel like St. Regis.

*FOOD POISONING* - my husband was there for dinner with his family, who stayed at the hotel for a few nights. He came home, said the experience was pleasant, told me he had a burger, and went to bed. At 2 am- I heard him get up and get VIOLENTLY ILL. This occurred multiple times over the next few days, and we had to call the hospital to see how we could remedy it. I called St Regis, and they SEEMED very concerned and promised an "investigation" into this matter. A day or so later, they called back, and the manager asked for a statement from my husband, which he gave once he was feeling up to it a few days later. They said they would get back to us regarding what they found, but alas... we are still waiting. We were set to head to Southern California for the holiday weekend and had to cancel seeing our family because we had to deal with this terrifying illness. UGH.It seems that St Regis has policies but no actual act of service or care for people who dine at their establishment. It's essential to warn people of the potential for food Bourne illnesses, so I am leaving this review here and will contact the CDC.
