Don't recommend brunch What they call poutine is actually
Don't recommend brunch What they call poutine is actually just cheese fries. We asked for no aioli cause bf doesn't eat mayo and they also left off the egg for some reason. So he just got served fries with some cheese sauce with mini pork sprinkles. If you were expecting gravy, cheese curds, and actual pork chunks you could see, you'll be disappointed. And if you ask for any modifications, they'll apparently also leave off the egg? I got the baked eggs which also seemed misnamed as it's difficult to find any egg in the dish at all. It comes fairly underdone so as soon as you dig into the dish, the one egg in there sort of disintegrates and mixes with the rest of the sauce. Would be much more accurate to call it a chickpea & tomato stew. I tried to ask for more bread to dip into my stew (the chickpea stew came with 2 slices) and it took us about 20 mins to finally flag someone down. Bread came almost 15 mins after that, which they thoroughly buttered and then charged us for. Food alone (excluding drinks) was over $20pp and given their portions, you are sure to leave still hungry. Their drinks were decent though.
We had dinner here.
Amazing appetizers ,tapas, mezzi.I was pleasantly surprised. We will be returning.I don't hand out 5 star reviews easily. What stands out for me is the creative pairings of the food. Also, make sure to finish with the banana dessert.

My wife and I heard that brunch is good , so we decided to try their dinner. We were welcomed and sat. We came at 5, so it wasn't busy at all. Our server was nice and we ordered the following: Beet and feta salad Scallop Ceviche Wood grilled octopus Brisket Oxtail raviolini We enjoyed 2 our 5 dishes, very disappointed. Beets were extremely hard, not soft at all. Scallops were bland, brisket was all fat - more like pork belly. The octopus and oxtail were on point. I had ice tea with my dinner but the glass stayed empty for quite some time, so the server brought me two at the end. We also inquired about the burgers being ordered (as did 4 other tables) but we were all told that we couldn't order those - it's only the bar menu. I kinda get that but it seems that it was missed income as well as customer satisfaction....others may disagree.

Came here for brunch and it was delicious and you have to get the fruity pebble French toast it was was amazing!!!!!
Finally tried this restaurant for dinner.
We have been told that their brunch is really good but decided we wanted to try their dinner. We had a 5 pm reservation so the restaurant was not busy. Our server was nice and told us how to order since the dishes were shareable. We ended up ordering 5 dishes (we had ordered 4 but that was not enough). I also had a glass of wine and my husband had a tea. Below is what we ordered. Beet and feta salad - the flavors were nice but most of the bites of beet were pretty hard. I mean way too hard and crunchy. Scallop ceviche - texture was great but the scallops were a bit bland. Wood grilled octopus - one of my favorite dishes we ordered. It was cooked perfectly. Char siu glazed brisket - flavors were really nice but most of the pieces were pure fat. I mean not a shred of actual meat. I had 1 piece that was true brisket and really good. This dish was more like pork belly. Braised oxtail raviolini - one of my favorite dishes we had. They were perfect little bites of pasta with tender meat inside. It was a bit hard for my husband to get a refill for his tea. It was empty for quite a while before the server came by to check on us. Also would like to note that my husband along with 4 other tables asked if they could order a hamburger but were told no because it was only served at the bar. I get it but it seemed a bit silly. I would probably try their brunch but I was a bit disappointed with their dinner. We have been to Fort Oak, Rare Society and the Wise Ox and loved all of those restaurants.
I've been to Trust before for dinner and it was amazing,
I've been to Trust before for dinner and it was amazing, but their brunch is top tier! I think this might be my favorite brunch place in San Diego! First thing is first, the ambiance of the restaurant is so clean and inviting. I love the open kitchen aspect and watching the chefs cook! Our waitress was so sweet and kind and very attentive! All around a 10/10 for service and aesthetic. Now for the food I got the Fried Rice with Sunny Side eggs, my girlfriend got the pancakes with fried chicken and at the end we got the ultimate sticky bun The fried rice was to die for. It was so well seasoned and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Fried rice is very easy to make but this dish was top tier and very elevated. The pancake and fried chicken dish was delicious. It was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy mixed together in one. The pancakes were light and fluffy and served with a whipped butter. The chicken was cooked to a perfect crisp and had a great crunch. Not overdone whatsoever! The sticky bun was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Hands down the best sticky bun I've had. It was served with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Getting that perfect bite of warm and cold in one bite is delicious. I have nothing bad to say about Trust! Chef Brad Wise knows exactly what he is doing!
BEST BRISKET OF MY LIFE.
This place blew us away from the food to the drinks to the service!
Our favorite restaurant in San Diego.
You get the exquisite culinary experience of a super high end restaurant without any of the pretension. Service is always great. Meals are shared. Try the staples and the seasonal offerings both. Can't go wrong.
I recently had an unfortunate experience at Trust due to
I recently had an unfortunate experience at Trust due to the unprofessional and rude behavior of the hostess. I called when the restaurant opened a little after 9am on Sunday and asked if there was a waitlist I could put my name on. I was told there was no waitlist. Our family of 4 arrived 15 minutes after calling and were told that there was a 15 minute wait for the partially empty restaurant. Two other parties arrived while our family waited and were immediately seated. I wanted to inquire about this and our wait and politely asked the hostess and she began to raise her voice and speak in a tone that was rude. Her response and demeanor was unwelcoming and completely unnecessary. It felt like I was inconveniencing her for asking. Based on my interaction with the hostess, it appeared that my family and I were not welcomed, so we left. Overall, our experience at Trust was heavily marred by the hostess's rude treatment and tone. It's truly disappointing when such a key interaction point in a restaurant falls so short. I hope management addresses this issue promptly to ensure other diners don't encounter the same unpleasantness.
Three out of four dishes were amazing.
However, the fourth dish was too salty, almost like they accidentally dropped the salt container in the food. We tried to excuse it because the rest of the food was great, but it was hardly edible. When we complained, the manager seemed irritated and he said that they make the dish "well-seasoned". I am sorry but excessive salt is not well-seasoned and there are countless other reviews complaining about the amount of salt. This is the first time I have returned a dish and it was because we were going to get sick from the amount of salt. He annoyingly asked if we'd like to remake the dish "with no added seasoning" or get another dish. The manager was rude when addressing us like we were trying to get a free meal. Most of the dishes were good but the experience with the manager soured the experience and we will not be coming back again.
Conflicted
Took son, his wife, their daughter, and my wife to Trust for our son’s birthday dinner. All butbI enjoyed the dinner. Our waiter told us how he recommends that each guest order two items from the menu. Items are small and, good, but pricey. I asked for swordfish. He should have known that it was not available, returned five minutes later to inform us, and, in what I thought was sort of a bait and switch, highly recommended another fish, quite a bit more expensive. It was undercooked. Many of the items were good, but we ordered far too many. If I ever return-somewhat unlikely-I will order one item, and let the others share if they so desire.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
