Ok, I LOVE NYC/NJ pizza, and even CT style better than Naples pizza. I like the bold flavors of the cheese, the sauce, firmer undercarriage, and a more abundant layer of toppings on the NYC/NJ/CT styles. I never eat the crust though, I know some people will think that's blasphemy, but I don't like plain dough, it's a filler and the middle of the pizza is where the party's at. But... @unapizzanapoletana is number one in the world, numero uno al mondo! I wasn't hyped because it's not my favorite style of pizza, but I enjoyed the flavors, and yes, I even ate the whole crust. It was satisfying, light, fluffy, chewy, and had the perfect amount of char. The Margherita was good, but I could've used more saltiness or more garlic in the sauce, maybe more cheese, but still enjoyed it. The special pizza of the night, which rotates, was buffalo mozz DOP, spring onion, garlic, basil, Sicilian sea salt, Italian pine nuts, Provolone Del Monaco, Altamura breadcrumbs and Calabrian crushed pepper, topped with EVOO. Yes , I had to list every ingredient because it was so worth it! This pizza gave me the flavors I wanted! Garlicky, salty, cheesy and a chewy bite. I wish I could've had some EVOO on the side to dip the crust, but they don't give it out even if you ask. My guess is that @anthony_w_mangieri wants you to eat the pizza as he intended, or the only EVOO they use is too expensive to give out by request. In the beginning, I asked but wasn't allowed to order a third pie, but I was glad because I was so full by the end (they limit each customer to one pie and are limited on their dough and sell out every night). I think we chose the right pizzas, go with the classic and go with their special of the night. Although still not my preferred kind of pizza, I'd definitely come back here to try their other pies. Oh, and finish with their gelato or sorbet, the flavors also rotate, but last night's almond gelato and blood orange sorbet were out of this world. Kept going back and forth trying to decide which was better... I only took off one star because I don't love how they limit you to one pizza or do not allow you extra olive oil, but I understand...to keep their quality and their style uniquely theirs, they gotta limit, but a customer wants what a customer wants! Especially when it's good stuff...
