Urth Caffe Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Great coffee
The coffee is beyond reproach. You sometimes have to wait a while because there is a lot of demand. The café is beautifully designed.
Simply Wonderful!!
Simply wonderful. Located near Terminal 1 is this lovely oasis. Plenty of seating. Delicious pastries to chose from and very reasonably priced. Both times I had the fruit danish with outstanding fresh fruit on top. Hubby had the cheese danish. Both were excellent. Coffees are very good also but priced higher than we are used. Then again everything is priced high at LAX. Staff is friendly and working very hard. We are so glad we found this place. We would definitely stop whenever in the area. Felt it was overall the nicest eatery we saw at LAX.
Overpriced, not worth it
The place looks impressive as does the savouries and pastries on display. But it’s just about okay and way overpriced. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and could barely taste the bacon or the cheese.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
