Excited for a Tiki Bar, failed to meet expectations.
This place is average at best. The food is just okay while the drinks are really good but relatively expensive. We had the Spam Musami and it was good but the Loco Moco with pork was seriously disappointing. They had Kaluha Pork Sliders that were weak, I could have made better ones at home myself. The outdoor seating is nice but the heat lamps didn't work so on a 50 degree night it was a little uncomfortable. The service was slow but the place was bustling. The staff were all very nice.

Fun times! My friends and I hit this place a few times a month after our morning sessions. The staff is great and Chef Will rocks some outstanding Polynesian dishes that take me back to my times spent in the Pacific to include good ole Spam! His Tuna Poke is absolutely the best in Ventura!!!! Drinks are da bomb as well! A must visit!!

First try, host would not even take our names, nor give us an approximate wait time so see ya. Next try, very few guests, and different host, so we got a table. However, our stay was short lived. Server/host took our drink order, then he, along with all the rest of the staff disappeared into a back room and closed the door. Line of people was now forming right behind me. Place seemed grimy and our table top was sticky, yuk. The large dog sitting next to us with it's owner eating was off putting as well. Finally two staff emerge, but head to the bar area, staring at, ignoring, the line of people. My nephew got up and asked the staff if they were going to work or not. Then our server told us that their hot water had been shut off. Really? Just the hot water? He then said they were closing for the night, but still said nothing to the line of folks standing outside in line, so I turned around and shared the news with them. We did get our drinks, Ventiki Mai Tais, which were meh. Server told us to take our time, but at that point the atmosphere was unsettled, so we left. Before leaving, I used the restroom and low and behold, hot water, lots of hot water. I don't get any of positive reviews of this place.

A waiter there was very aggressive. He almost attacked us and was calling the police when we were complaining his verbal attacks. Do not bother visiting a place like this that also runs with extremely steep prices.

This place is sooo much fun!! Has a small indoor bar, approximately 6-8 seats estimated yet, their patio is also fun. Later in the evenings the fire pit keeps you warm. All clientele are very friendly. Love the ribs, tender and not dry. Excellent sushi. And the tropical drinks are the best. Each day of the work week has their own theme. Get on Instagram where they notify you when happy hours is and the drink of the day. Gotta go see for yourself!!
Be the first to ReplyIf you love a Tiki Bar, you will love Ventiki
I love a good Mai Tai and two people I trust told me to get myself to Ventiki in Ventura if I wanted to try some really good ones. This is totally true. Lots of different spins on the traditional Mai Tai but they are not cheap. Half my glass was full of crushed ice which didn’t leave enough room for very much drink in the small glass but what I got was delightful. The place is tiny so seating is premium.

Just outside the main club/dining area on Main St. Well worth the visit. It is small with perhaps a dozen seats at the bar inside and tables for another 12-16 outside. Weather will impact your visit. Excellent drink and food menu trending on the Asian/Polynesian side. GOOD Mai Tai's.

That title alone just sounds fun! Wear the Magnum PI stache and get a dollar off your Mai Tai. Deal!! Great vibes there and the drinks are awesome.
Be the first to ReplyProper tiki drinks, Very Good!
Our first time here, and we were very impressed. The tiki drink menu is extensive, and the drinks we had were faithful to the classic recipes and ingredients...not the cheap rum and overly fruity versions most restaurants have. The drinks have a lot of punch, so beware! We shared the shrimp and curry appetizer, which was really tasty and well prepared. So the food is a plus too! And the decor is properly kitschy. All in all a great place, we’ll be back again!

We saw a ad for this restaurant at our hotel and thought we would check it out. Thought place would be bigger from the way the ad looked. Seems like a small restaurant that tries hard. We had pork sliders and coconut shrimp. Food was really really good. The drinks we had ( happy hour ..... thank you ) were wonderful. All employees we met were on the ball and very friendly. Would go back for sure , if in the area again.
