Just what I was looking for, beautiful food and friendly service
I enjoyed every single moment I was at this amazing quaint trattoria. From the second I walked in, the owner, from Milan, could not have been more welcoming. I started with a beautiful red wine from Puglia and a Caesar salad. For my main course I had the shrimp and zucchini risotto. It was all lovely. This will be my first stop on my future visits to Long Beach

By far the best food in the Long Beach college city area. Great wine as well. The owner and his staff are super friendly. I go there whenever I am in Long Beach.

I was very disappointed with our recent dinner. Havenโt been there lately, and our experience was so different that I suspect inept new ownership. Service was slow and off hand, and while the bread and salad was okay, if nothing special, the pasta was under-seasoned and bland. A fish special was seriously over priced for what it was, and a small portion too. It was our last visit to what had been a reliable restaurant.

When you walk in the staff is super friendly and I assume we met the owner. They bring out some pretty good bread and made suggestions for wine. The pasta was super fresh and tasted home made. We did the dine long beach special so was able to sample an app, entree and dessert. The fried mozzarella was different and flaky I would suggest it!

Consistently some of the best Italian food this city or any other has to offer. Low key, relaxed with actual Italian owners. Great wine list, desserts and really great food. Simply great food without exorbitant prices. How often does that happen??

Group of 5 on a Thursday night. The manager (owner) was gracious and invited you into his "home." Terrific wine suggestions and the meals were authentic. Will definitely return next time I'm in town.

There comes a time when you just have to write a review and be candidly honest and truthful about it... A birthday dinner for a group of 6 with reservations...the first ones to arrive as soon as the restaurant opened... The Lady with glasses as a waitress...if the restaurant wishes to stay open..they better fire her...no courtesy..no smiles..no service... all dishes arrived luke warm...and to top it off a single cannoli for the bday gal..I guess people should NOT celebrate a bday at this italian restaurant ..since they do not know how to celebrate a bday... Food was overpriced...small portions and mediocre at best...luke warm al dente style pasta is not even edible... Pathetic service..horrid service...bad food..overpriced...and then to top it off....the plates and table kept being cleaned and rushed to to clean up even before we finished eating our meals...because there was another party waiting to be seated... OMG.. 180 bucks and you cannot sit at your table for more then one hour... throw the customer out as soon as they are close to being done eating their meal..do NOT let them finish...give them take out bags and ask them to leave... that waitress...old lady with glasses...curt, rude and unfriendly... AVOID this place..there are a million italian restaurants in LA and Long Beach... this rates as one of the absolute WORST..for service and food and never even think of celebrating an event here...

Visiting Long Beach for business we asked our hotel for recommendations for dinner. They recommended Vino and Cucina. We had a marvelous dinner. Everyone loved their entrees. Three people ordered the manicotti special and cleaned their plate. I ordered the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and it the best I have had since Italy. They asked us if we wanted dessert, but we were so full. We decided to order two desserts to share, the cheesecake special and the tiramisu. I don't know which one was better but there was a fight for the last bite. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I stopped here in the way to the Long Beach airport as an alternative to horrible airport food. I am so glad I did. I had a lovely and delicious meal. The food was hot, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The portions were just the right size. Plenty of vegetarian options! Highly recommended.

I went here recently with a group of 8 ladies to celebrate my stepmomโs 80th birthday, and really enjoyed it. It is a small restaurant and wine bar, with 2 dining rooms - seats maybe 50 or so people. Even on a Thursday evening, it was packed - reservations are a necessity. The owners and all the staff (not sure if it is run by an extended family) are from Italy, so there can be a slight difficulty in communication. They speak English, but some with strong accents. The food was excellent. The menu is a good size - a good number of choices in each category (hot appetizers, cold appetizers, salads, pasta, main dishes), but wasnโt so huge as to feel overwhelming. I started with hot baby artichokes stuffed with mascarpone and goat cheese and served with arugula and a drizzle of balsamic - delicious - followed by that dayโs special of braised short rib with housemade pappardelle. I usually find pappardelle too thick and stodgy, but this was excellent. Others in our group enjoyed various appetizers, salads, or soup as starters, followed by pasta or a main course, and everyone raved about the food. Iโm looking forward to returning with my husband - I know he will enjoy it.
