🤢 2/5 - This hotel used to be Mandarin Oriental and it was a flop,

This hotel used to be Mandarin Oriental and it was a flop, so Waldorf Astoria hung their sign on it but it's lipstick on a pig. The simple reason is that the rooms are tiny and cramped and feel like Tokyo studio apartments. Tiny hallways snake you around a long route right now because they are redoing the entrance and you'll quickly ask yourself, "why did I book this?" This is NOT luxury - so don't expect it here. If you don't mind low ceilings and a claustrophobic experience, you'll be fine. It's also a worn down room too, everything feels and looks tattered. The people who work here are helpful and the service is good but the idea of paying $400-$500 a night for a room here is stomach-turning. Be prepared for the $45 resort fee (which is over $50 really with tax) and $35 to park. Sorry Waldorf, even your good name pwon't save this.
