😒 3/5 - My second stay here, on Christmas Eve, was pretty good

My second stay here, on Christmas Eve, was pretty good overall. Hotel check in is on the same floor as SkyBar, and there were signs directing you there. I believe the main lobby/check in area is being renovated. Check in was pretty quick, and they had complimentary bottles of water available. I had requested a Strip view, which the agent at check in said they gave me. My room had a view of CityCenter, not the Strip. I didn't complain since I wasn't going to be in the room that much. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, which was a nice touch. I liked the large bathroom, and other than that nothing really stood out as that memorable. The shower was a rainshower, which is always nice! I couldn't get some of the lights in the room to turn off when I returned to the room that night. I enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool a lot. There were a few bees around the hot tub, which I mentioned to a spa employee when I left the hot tub before I checked out. Breakfast at Zen was very good, I had the seasonal gingerbread pancakes with bacon. I wasn't able to checkout using the TV, and I received my bill under the door. It showed a 0 balance. I received an invoice emailed to me about a week later, with a balance of almost $100 that was already charged to my card. The charges were for the minibar (dated 12/31, a week after my stay), which I didn't utilize, and the resort fee, which was waived for my stay. Long story short, it took 3 emails to the hotel until the charges were refunded. Very frustrating! My first stay at the hotel was also for one night, and we visited SkyBar but not the pool area. SkyBar was the low point, as the service was just OK. Our party of 3 was there for birthday drinks with a view. The drinks were good, with the cocktails running at around $20. I had a VGK themed cocktail, which is served on a hockey rink plate with dry ice. We did wait quite a while for service at our seats outside the main bar, which is still part of the service area!We had complimentary breakfast at the Zen restaurant (it was Mozen when was the Mandarin). The dining room was nice, and the yoghurt was delicious! The Waldorf is a convenient location at CityCenter, and it's walking distance to Aria, Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan.
