A faultless
Excellent aperitif (crémant, vodka, etc.), we chose a three-course menu. Tuna tataki, monkfish and lamb duo. Everything was perfectly cooked with good sauces. Nice portion. Good glass of wine. High price but correct for the quality of the dishes. Professional service.
Be the first to ReplyVery good Bavarian restaurant
Highly recommend this restaurant. Better quality than the many traditional Bavarian restaurants in Munich. We ate in the panelled room - nice decor pleasant surroundings.

Never been insulted more in my life when I was asked to see the menu before reserving a table. There are many restaurants in the area where the personel does not insult their potential clients.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food
Came here for dinner with colleagues and absolutely amazing food. The decor and ambience are of coz Bavarian style and the menu reflects that. My schnitzel was huge and flavoursome. Our waitress recommended a large bottle of wine for the whole table. We finished the evening off with German pancake desserts. So yummy

Very good food and service, traditional Bavarian but with a modern twist. Presentation was thoughtful. All the dishes we had were enjoyed by all, the schnitzel was very large, the fish with risotto was lovely and the pigs cheek was brilliant. Wine was also excellent.
Be the first to ReplyFood was wonderful, but the service made our night.
What made the dinner my wife and I had the other night so wonderful? The food was delicious, but the service was what made it special. Our server Simone was absolutely perfect. She never interfered, but each time my wife or I looked for her, there she was. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and the wine she chose for us was spectacular. The food was delicious. My wife had the halibut and she raved about it. I had the ox tartare and the chicken fricassse and they were magnificent. All in all a wonderful evening.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and drink - and we finally had a dessert!
This is a very smart and historically decorated restaurant, and probably cost double the price of all the other (mainly beer halls) restaurants we ate in, in a week in Munich. But it was lovely. What set this restaurant apart was 2 things - we had an entire bottle of the fabulous Franconia Scheurebe wine - very alcoholic and tasty, not just a glass of only ok wine or beer as in other places, and we had desserts!! This is a big deal because mysteriously at every other restaurant no-one ever came back once we had the main course and asked us if we wanted a dessert, until at least half an hour had passed after our main course and we had finished all our drinks, so we just thought "let's get the bill and go". But this restaurant had the waiters going round and checking people were happy and did we want anything else, constantly, so we were able to enjoy this! We had the chicken pot pie and the peach tart tatin, all lovely and not too big.

A great restaurant. The food is excellent and is surpassed by the outstanding service.
Be the first to ReplyOld-fashioned in the best possible way.
An expensive, full-service restaurant which proves that you get what you pay for. Old-fashioned in approach and with impeccable cooking, this is an evening experience which you should treat yourself to if you're happy with a slightly, well, old-fashioned style and food. The service is excellent and our meal was money well-spent, a treat to end three weeks in Germany and a far cry from the heavy dishes that many restaurants serve. Get yourself into the Rieslings on offer and take advice from the knowledgeable waiters.

The waitresses made fun of us. We could hear it at the table and they didn't even notice when one of us walked past on the way to the toilet and continued to mock us. Unfortunately, that cast a nasty shadow on our really delicious meal :(
Be the first to ReplyWonderful return visit
We dined here for lunch as we had had such a wonderful time on a previous visit. This one played out to be just as delicious as the previous. You know you can expect a delicious meal when you arrive five minutes before the restaurant opens and there is already a half-dozen locals waiting for the door to open (one of them impatiently called the restaurant at 12:02 PM as the door hadn't opened yet!). Once again, we enjoyed impeccable service (English spoken if you speak no German), perfectly prepared dishes (the wife loved her schnitzel and my Braised Beef Cheek and Roasted Beef Sirloin still make my mouth water). And once again, we ordered a bottle of Spatburgunder from the Ahr Valley's Meyer-Nakel as it is an unbelievable Pinot Noir (and I am usually not a fan of Pinots!). The Weinhaus is an easy walk away from the Marienplatz and is an excellent choice for food lovers who want to get away from the tourist stops!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and wine, great service!
We had a great time at Weinhaus Neuner. We chose the five course set mean with accompanying wines. It was just excellent! And Simone took great care of us. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyGood service, good food, good atmosphere
We dined here as a group of 10. The layout is relaxing and the interior decor is classic Bavarian. The staff were very helpful and spoke English fluently. Each of us ordered differently from the a la carte menu which can sometimes present a timing challenge to the kitchen. Each course came out together and no one was left waiting. The food itself was tasty and fresh. Our choices covered everything from schnitzel to steak to fish. The restaurant also offers set menus with / without wine pairings as well. Overall a nice restaurant and one that I would go back to. Don’t despair that their website in in German only. The staff are multilingual as are the menus.
Be the first to ReplyLovely place with very friendly staff
We just stopped here for a drink on the way back from a meal in the centre of the city. It's a lovely place to have a drink with the decor oozing quality and nice touches like fresh flower arrangements. We were warmly welcomed despite the fact we were only looking for a couple of beers (ended up having a couple more). Staff all very friendly. The food we saw looked great and we kind of wished we had eaten here. Will definitely make it our first call for dinner when we return to Munich.

Great fine dining experience! The good was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were all extremely professional and friendly. We were there with kids and the staff was very attentive. Thank you for a great experience!
Be the first to ReplyProbably our favorite dining experience during a week in Bavaria!
Our decision to dine here while on a Winter holiday in Bavaria was more driven by the fact that it was a Michelin-recommended restaurant that was open on a Monday night that we could easily get to than by any other factor (well, being a "Weinhaus," we hoped for an interesting wine list). It turned out to be our favorite dining experience.
The reason for such a great evening? Our server, a young woman named (I HOPE I am remembering correctly!) Ericka. Not only was she she professional and attentive, she was also very friendly with us and became more of a host for us. Her recommendations were ALL amazing (even subtly guiding us away from a couple of dishes based on what we said we liked/disliked). The best was the wine she recommended. Being from the States, I had heard of wines from the Ahr being delicious but they are all but unavailable at home. Their wine list had a couple of options, including one that was a wee bit more than we usually spend for a wine. I asked if it was worth the price jump and on her assurance, we ordered a bottle of their 2017 Meyer-Nakel Krauterberg Spatburgunder. OH ... MY ... GAWD was it amazing (moreso because we usually aren't huge fans of Pinot Noir).
It was such a perfect evening for us ... if we lived locally, we would dine here frequently and when friends visit Munich, we will definitely be recommending that they dine here!
A Real Must Bavarian Restaurant.
Bavarian elegant restaurant with flair and excellent service and perfect food and wine list. The soup was delightful, also the perfectly cooked Wienerschnitel with wobbly breaded crust served with tasty Bratkartoffel. Perfectly broiled lamb chops with fresh spinach. Chablis is excellent and prices are reasonable.
