Nice location but overpriced for what you get.
The location is very nice and owner/staff are friendly. However when we come for a wine tasting we expect to receive information about the history and explanations on each wine we taste. Here nothing, you can choose between 4 type of flights and it comes with a short description written on the board where glasses are served. Also surprising was the price, which is around usd 40 for in total 8 oz or 1.2dl. Okay we are in the Hamptons but common. It is unfortunately run too much as a business and lacks of soul. Value for money is on the low side.
Be the first to ReplyFun on a rainy day
Four of us gathered here on a rainy day. The decor is fun and staff was friendly. We picked about six ciders that we were interested and did our own cider tastings. One friend had never had hard cider before so she was delighted to try a few different varieties. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.

If you're filthy rich, dying to flaunt it, and--especially if you're in your twenties--desperate to display your artificial tan and your latest designer clothes, this is the place for you. Management will be happy to rip you off for the privilege. $35 for 3 supermarket cheeses? $40 for a flight of 4 2 oz. tastes? This used to be a serious place to taste wine. No more. It's a loud party scene for those who want to rub their wealth in their neighbors' faces. If you like the wines--and you should--buy them elsewhere, but don't come here to sample them.
Be the first to ReplyManage your expectations
On a recent Saturday afternoon we booked a tasting at Wolffer. The building and surrounding vineyards are lovely. The tasting experience was disappointing. The patio seating was crowded, loud and the wine and food overpriced. We ordered two tasting flights. Each flight included four 2 oz. pours. Both flights were over $30 each. The server was harried and barely described the wine selections. We did not enjoy any of the selections and left without purchasing a single bottle. My advice to those who enjoy drinking wine and visiting wineries, manage your expectations accordingly.

We enjoyed a winter visit seated in the covered patio area with a wonderful friendly well informed server. We enjoyed a flight of rose and a charcuterie plate. There was also nice gift shop as you exit.😉
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful property, great wines
We visited in Nov 2022 (off-season), so can't comment on how busy it gets during summer. But we went for my mom's birthday and had a wonderful time. The wine flight was fun - you get four little carafes of different wines - and the cheese plate was tasty. The woman who was helping (I think her name was Laura) was so sweet and knowledgeable and very fun to talk with. The property is beautiful, both inside and the outdoor patio. While the winery is probably best known for the rose, our favorites were the pinot noir and the dry Riesling. Highly recommended as a fun afternoon stop.
Be the first to ReplyFailed Tasting Experience
Had nicer wine tastings at less revered vineyards. Always a turnoff when an experience seems greedy & impersonal. Reserved for a wine tasting. Ordered Rosé & White Horse flights, because no option to select individual wines or acclaimed Rosé ciders. Given a wine glass & carafe of water to rinse glass in between tastings. (I'm used to each wine being served in its own drinking vessel- who wants wine diluted by water or co-mingled with previous pour?!) No palate cleansers. Never been to a tasting where something, a communion wafer (sarcasm), isn't offered. When I inquired, was asked if I wanted to order food. "Dinner plans in 2 hours, just a palate cleanser please." Waiter brought 4 Carr's crackers on a saucer & billed us $3. Have no words. Spent over $100 on a few sips of wine that didn't include what I came to try & you felt need to charge a dollar per cracker. Hostess led us to table outside without speaking a word, didn't offer indoor seating. Waiter kicked off experience informing us he knows little about the wines. Table kept getting bussed despite me declining the reach, twice. Meaning, staff cleared flight tray which included identification card before I was done. Now I'm trying wines without even knowing what I'm trying- the whole point of a wine tasting! Grounds pretty. Wines enjoyable. Purchased 3 bottles in their store & two 4-packs Rosé cider for $20 more than what tasting cost! Moral of story, skip tasting (which really isn't a tasting just a food & drink menu) & grab whole bottles of what you want to try. Will cost the same, you'll get 5x the quantity, & be able to dissect it in comfort without being rushed or disregarded. I don't know, Hamptons, are my expectations higher than that of a New Yorker?

Visited on a Monday night at 6 pm. Beautiful setting and relaxing environment. We drank an amazing Estate Rose that we were able to purchase. We also had a yummy flat bread. Highly recommend a visit here.
Be the first to ReplyGreat wine, great food, beautiful vineyard
Very good my girlfriend and I stopped here on our way to Montauk and were not disappointed. Even bought a few bottles to take home with us!
Be the first to Replywine tasting tour not worth the time/money
our tour guide was pleasant but nattered about uninteresting irrelevant matters such as horse jumping. She appeared to focus on the history of the Vineyard rather than tasting the wine or how the wine was made. I was surprised to see her pouring wine from bottles that had already been open, and definitely did not offer any of the vineyard's top of the line wines. Needless to say, our group was not inspired to buy any wine at the end of the tour. The setting is very nice, and ordering some food and tasting your own selections would be a nice way to spend a few hours.

Beautiful vineyard. One of the best of I have been to out East. Great service, good food and excellent wine choices. It’s a beautiful view and wide open seating areas so everyone has plenty of room.
Be the first to ReplySpring in a Bottle !!!!
Our innkeepers at the White Fences Inn (Liz and Eric), made a reservation for us on a Friday night. The place was packed, as they had live music, which was very entertaining. We did a rose flight, and enjoyed the Spring in Bottle ! We took home a magnum signed by the artist. In the store section, they let us try a few other things, which led me to buy some cider and a bottle of gin. Recently, at dinner in NJ, a bottle was being thrown out, and one of the servers said, oh what a nice bottle. I said, is that bottle from Long Island ............ sure enough ........... Spring in a Bottle !!!!

This was my third time here . For a Friday afternoon is was busy . Many were seated in the enclosed patio . We sat in by the bar for a tasting fleet . Our server Kristen was pleasant & attentive . The wine was a selection of reds & whites . You can also purchase wine to take home from their very well displayed shop. You can also look down at the wine vats from the main level

Ripping guests off by up charging between 200% and 300% of retail for the privilege of drinking their wine on their property. The Wine Stand contains the vineyard’s retail shop. Beyond it are patio seating and lawn areas that have live music on weekends. There people are queued up for the privilege of paying twice or nearly thrice of what they sell their wine for in the shop. Their own wine. On their own property. A sign in the shop instructs you to not buy regularly priced bottles to take out back. Their policy is no outside food allowed either, only the pre-boxed food for sale. I’ve nowhere else encountered a winery inflating on-site consumption sales to bar and restaurant prices. And it’s not the custom of neighboring vineyards on the Hamptons Wine Trail either. People are willing to pay it to feel fancy in the Hamptons—the place was crowded on a recent Sunset Saturday. So good for Wölffer and their money grabbing setup, and the imbibers happy to pay their price, I guess? Charge what the market will bear. But I’ll never buy a bottle of Summer in a Bottle again.

During our stay in Long Island we visited some wineries
This one was one of the best !!!!
Beautiful vineyard, very nice environment and delicious wines
Definitely we will go back when we have a chance
Amazing
My party and I were so incredibly impressed with our tasting at Wolffer. Each glass of wine was expertly paired with a delicious small bite. Our hostess overheard me tell my boyfriend that I would be able to eat most items on our tasting menu (I have celiac) and asked me which one could she substitute for me and graciously brought over a gluten free cracker and cheese plate. They also accommodated someone in the party who wasn’t able to have alcohol and were able to pair with their non alcoholic beverages. 10/10 would go again the estate is gorgeous, friendly staff, our waiter had a story and facts about every bottle. Highly recommend

Wolffer winery offers a beautiful vineyard with awesome selection of wine.
Amael was our server and he was simply amazing.
He made this experience exceptional and unforgetable.
Thank you so much Amael.
Classy place, great wine
We booked an 11:15 reservation on a Wednesday at Wolffer and we did need it; it was busy pretty much right off the bat. We had just had breakfast and wish we didn’t because they had a great charcuterie selection that looked very good on other people’s plates. There was a professional host who welcomed us at entry, which was right next to a viewing area into the winery where you could see barrel ends signed by celebrities. They had several servers and bussers and a group of 3 bartenders pouring flights and glasses, etc. we got a front and center spot overlooking the vineyard on the patio. Our table and chairs were sturdy and comfy enough, but the tabletop was falling apart. We ordered a white and red flight and because we were sharing, the server said he would bring them out one at a time so they didn’t warm up too much, which was great. All of the wines were very good. The server kept a good eye on us, but didn’t tell us about the wines or winery. We didn’t see any retail prices and didn’t have a paper menu to take notes or decide what we wanted to buy, so we asked about the wine club. The server brought us a pamphlet and did his best to explain it clearly, but the retail prices were not anywhere, so we had to check online for their bottle prices. Joining the club turned out to be worth it, as you got your tasting fee back and a 15% wine purchase discount. With a little confusion and bringing others in to help, we ended up joining the club and getting our first installment immediately and buying wine in the retail shop, which was small but cute. 2 were working in the shop, 1 super nice lady, 1 unenthused guy. We bought cider to try too. Everything about this place was classy and beautiful. If only we could have done the private tasting and tour!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Wine and Service!
Came here for a tasting of what must be Long Island's very best wine. We were greeted by host Stacy who is both pleasant and knowledgble. She sat us among the grapes with a wonderful view.
Our server, Michael R quickly brought us water and gave us time to look at the menu. We had the Estate Flight and the Rose Flight with a Charcuterie Board.
Everything was simply fantastic!
Both Stacy and Michael are great ambassadors for this wonderful vineyard and we highly recommend coming here!
Beautiful Vineyard
My nephew served the 2017 Cabernet Franc to me & I thought it was so smooth & delicious. Took my sister-in-law out there for a sampling of their finest. We made a reservation but arrived early. Was seated right away. It was hot on the patio, at least they had fans blowing. What a gorgeous place with stellar service, not only did we have a waitress but the hostess came by to check if we had any questions. We tried two different flights. Pricey but you are given about 8 ounces of four different wines. The cheese platter is stellar - the variety & quality is top notch. You get a 10% discount if you buy a full case, 15% on two cases. Since I plan to hold the Cabernet Franc for two years, I bought two cases, one of the Cabernet & then a variety of white & rose.
