Wolfgang's Steakhouse Park Ave New York Reviews from The Last Year
Absolutely wonderful experience- didn't get a chance to
Absolutely wonderful experience- didn't get a chance to take photos of the steak because everyone was too excited to eat!
My favorite Steakhouse in NY.
The porterhouse is the best in the game and I top that with the creamed spinach and german potatoes. Add a nice bottle of cabernet and you will leave their very happy
Severely disappointed at this place.
Old fashion - came with a huge slice of orange that practically made up 1/2 the drink. Free bread - it was cold and tasted like cheap supermarket bread. Bacon - this was good, it had a nice smoky flavor but be warned, it gets salty after a while so you shouldn't have too much. Crab cake - horrible choice, it's ONE small crab cake for $30. Come on. Tasted good but that price doesn't justify it. Ribeye - we ordered medium rare but the steak was practically raw. Steak also had no flavor. Chilean sea bass - again, had no flavor. Creamed spinach - tasted more like blended spinach with water, no creaminess. Key lime pie - honestly this was the highlight of the dinner and that's so sad because Wolfgang's is a steakhouse, not a dessert spot. All in all, I would definitely not return. This place was expensive and the food just did not live up to the high ratings from others. You're better off going elsewhere for a steakhouse splurge.
Food top…service flop…
The food at Wolfgangs (Park Avenue) was very good in terms of both quality and quantity! The service, however, was very bad! When we had eaten, we were not asked if we wanted a second bottle of wine, but were presented with the bill without being asked. Then the waiter thought that 10% of the €500 bill was too little for the tip...he came back to the table and demanded 20% tip! The restaurant was full and there were already guests waiting at the bar for free tables. So if you feel like spending €500 or €600 with a tip in a hurry, only to be "kicked out" after a good hour... For us, that's a clear NO GO...never again!

We went in not knowing you could only go in with a reservation, but lucky I believe the manager allowed us to eat there. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic! Everything in the menu look good. The lighting there is dim, sets a soothing and refreshing atmosphere!

Several years going and still arguably the best version of Peter Luger outside of the Brooklyn mainstay. Raw bar with east coast oysters are a great start, the dry aged rib eye steak holds it own with any steakhouse in the city and the porterhouse does not disappoint.
$320 for a salad, 2 steaks, 2 sides and 2 glasses of wine.
All the food was burnt. Your bread service is from the grocery store and cold. Steaks were cooked right and service was decent. Not worth the money. Spend it elsewhere. So disappointing considering how high this place was rated for our honeymoon dinner.
Nice ambiance.
Loud but I like it like that because it just shows people having a good time. Was pretty full around 6 p.m. the steak wasn't the best I've ever tried but it wasn't bad. Just needed a little more flavor. Fast service. Posted a video review on tik tok: @jessiica0204
4.3 / 5.0 Wolfgang's Steakhouse first restaurant. Stylish
4.3 / 5.0 Wolfgang's Steakhouse first restaurant. Stylish space with table seating and a BAR counter. There are about 7 slices of meat for one person,I recommend sharing various parts of the meat with everyone. And,I recommend the side dish of mashed potatoes and cream spinach to go with it! They wrapped up what we couldn't finish with takeout. It was delicious even when I went home and re-cooked it! The staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable eating there. What I ordered was: ・PRIME NY SIRLOIN STEAK ・RIBEYE STEAK ・MASHED POTATOES ・SPINACH CREAMED ・CHEESECAKE ・ICED COFFE
Celebrated my 40th Birthday at Wolfgang's.
I would say I had a so-so experience. I had a 8:30PM reservation, but when I arrived I was told it was going to be a wait time. I wound up waiting about 20 minutes or so. Which was a little annoying and to further frustrate things was it's very loud there, which is almost standard at most NYC steakhouses, but the manager told the hostess that the table was ready, but since she was so busy applying lipstick and chatting with the other hostess, I had to stand there and wait even longer, when it wasn't necessary. Now, onto to the good part. After we were seated we seemingly got two servers because it was two different guys coming over to assist. They were extremely friendly and cordial. I did not want steak, but did end up having some of the Porterhouse steak, which was pretty good, but I actually was in the mood for Salmon. The Salmon was a little bland, but more importantly, didn't come with any accompaniments. I've been to many steakhouses which provided vegetables, at the minimum with it. I would have still ordered spinach and mashed potatoes but still found it awkward for nothing to come on the player aside from lemon. I know several of my criticisms make it seem like I had a bad experience, but overall I would say it was good. I appreciated the severs constantly checking on the table and singing Happy Birthday. I'm not sure if I would return but I definitely did enjoy my birthday! Cheers to 40!

Extremely Satisfied Customer
Amazing WP Burger, and Steak Grinder. Prompt service, we had 1 hour in between flights. Great atmosphere! Waiter, Roberto, was fast and pleasant and we appreciated him.
Wolfgang's
It was my big bros birthday, so we got the royal treatment. Walking into Wolfgang's with him felt like walking into the strip club with James Harden right after a first-round playoff exit. The whole staff coming up to him dapping him up, with all the restaurant patrons whispering amongst themselves trying to figure out who he is. One staff member shouted, "Mr. Bloomberg is in the building!!" While another one came up to dap him up saying "It's big bro!" He responded with a disarming smile, slapping his hand away and going for the hug while saying "Nah you know you're my big homie!!" I got a little shy during all this commotion so went to the bar and started with an espresso martini to wake me up and get me out of my shell a little bit. We were then seated at the best table in the joint. The bread to start off was immaculate, I probably had 4 pieces. I love bread. My only complaint was the butter was ice cold. Me and my homie were inspired and began to discuss making a heated butter knife and selling it to steakhouses. I mean there is a major gap in the market for this. Sit back and visualize how optimal a lukewarm butter knife would be to spread your butter perfectly all over every corner of the bread. I can see millions. We all got the porter house steak medium rare (obviously), and it was absolutely to die for. The best steak I have had in NYC if I'm being really honest, and I can only speak the truth. It gets me into trouble sometimes. Wolfgangs is my favorite steakhouse in the city. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__
A steak factory
Have to say an expensive chain - service, drinks and the steak was certainly up to the mark, but the pricing of sides was rather excessive-as were the portions. If you want to be seen somewhere and can handle the noise then it’s great. Not for me.
So disappointing
The presentation was uninspiring. The wedge salad was plated as a lettuce wedge, a single sliced tomato, and a pile of bacon cubes. You had to make the salad yourself. Next, the loaded baked potato was anything but that. It was a potato and a side dish of sour cream. No cheese, no bacon…..all for a steep price. Finally, I was told my steak could not be cooked well done….it’s their policy that that steak must be butterflied. Don’t spend time or money here….there are too many good steakhouses in NYC.
Fantastic and unique lunch experience
We were walking in Manhattan NYC streets last July when found the elegant Wolfgang's Stakehouse restaurant at 41st street so decided to walk inside and were really pleased that the hostess seated us in a unique frontline table although we had no prior reservation. We enjoyed the elegant dining atmosphere while we wore casual attire; the food quality and quantity were beyond amazing and extremely delicious. I ordered tasty salmon and the piece was really big. My husband ordered ribs which also were in big portion and it is really recommended for meat lovers. Thanks to the professional and friendly waiters who took great care and attention to each table and will definitely come back again when visiting NYC to try more dishes.
Excellent meat. American prices
Classic environment, less noisy internal room, excellent service, they constantly pour fresh water into the glasses. The onion side dish, good, is huge. Very good meat, follow the waiters' advice, American prices. To consider the tip we gave 18%. We are not used to these exorbitant tips, of course the waiters certainly deserved them.
Try disappointment at the “Famous Wolfgang Puck Steak House NY City”. Yuk Yuk Yuk
I was really looking forward to a nice steak dinner at the “famous” Wolfgang Puck Steak House” no matter the cost. The reception by the waiter was cold and impersonal. I was taken to my table and waited 15 minutes before I received the menu or an offer for a drink. The menu was only brought after I had signalled 3 waiters standing together chatting to each other. I ordered a Ribeye steak with chips and a glass of red wine. The wine was very nice the chips were cold. The steak looked great but was very grizzly and impossible to consume. My carving knife was blunt and when I was able attract a waiter and ask for a sharp knife he told me I had one and I had to tell him just get me another knife which he reluctantly did. What a shame after looking so forward to this experience. Never again for me. This same experience was had by a close friend of mine a week later with four in his group at the same restaurant Yuk Yuk Yuk
Why can’t you cook a steak?
Why can’t a fancy pants steakhouse get the temperature right. Ordered medium, came to me barely cooked. Took it back and cooked it some more but a steak recooked is never the same as one done correctly the first time. If you screw up a steak order bring a new one. Lame to put it back on the grill. Also, use a meat thermometer. This is not difficult. This is your specialty. Waste of time.
Great vibe and amazing staff!
They were so great to our rambunctious family! Friendly and speedy service despite being very busy. Steak was superb. Real rare just like we ordered. Would definitely come back.
