WorldMark Kihei Reviews from The Last Year
Nice time share near the beach
The WorldMark is in a convenient location in Kihei across from the beach and walkable to restaurants and shops. We stayed for 10 days in a one-bedroom unit. We got a recently renovated room on the third floor. We didn’t have a view, but it was quiet and peaceful. The pool and hot tub are great, but the WiFi, which you pay for, was like bad dial-up. The TVs aren’t smart tv’s, so you can’t connect to your Netflix or Hulu accounts, and they don’t rent movies. When I asked about it, the front desk person suggested I go to Walmart to pick up an HDMI cord to connect my iPad. Hopefully they will upgrade their TV’s during more renovations. Overall all, though, it was a great stay.
Overall decent stay in Kihei.
It's walkable to Kamaole I and various restaurants just south on Kihei Rd. Check in staff and laundry personnel are kind and attentive. There was plenty of parking on the facility during our stay. Pros: The room itself was newly renovated and great for the price. If you're a Worldmark member you probably already know the deal and it's on par with other Worldmark timeshares, reliable but not extravagant. The appliances like the dishwasher and washer/dryer worked as needed. AC unit was quiet as well as we kept it on during the night. Pool was large and the hot tubs were a nice to have especially after a long day at the beach. Cons: During our stay they continued to remodel several units around the facility, including the unit right above ours (or we just had incredible noisy upstairs neighbors), but there was loud footsteps and movement of furniture starting right at 7am and could be heard as late as 10pm. So regardless, you are at the mercy of any human being in the walls adjacent or above you. Lastly some of the staff here are extremely comfortable with using their keys to get into your room. I would really prefer a deadbolt or locking mechanism from the inside as we had two separate situations that arose. The first day, a staff member delivered some additional hangers to the room by knocking on the door twice and as I stood up to answer the door, he just let himself in while we were in the middle of changing. Not a big deal we thought to ourselves, we didn't want to make a fuss. On our last day however, we went out to pick up a quick breakfast at 8:30 and came back by 9am (1 hour before the 10am checkout) and came back to a cleaning bin outside of our door with our door UNLOCKED and a few inches ajar. Luckily everything was accounted for as we left a wallet, GoPro and other snorkeling equipment in the room. When we contacted the front desk, the Manager, Heath, explained that they checked their system and didn't note any other entry to the room that morning. Insinuating that we had left our door open even though we hadn't had an incident like this during our entire stay, let alone with all of our valuables in the room (their word against ours). Nothing was missing so we weren't looking for compensation of any sort; but any sort of accountability and an apology would've been nice, but I guess that's too much to ask for. So be aware of that and I would not leave anything of value inside your room or expect management to be responsible for any shortfalls.
Disappointing and dirty
We have stayed at this property many times over the years. It is getting renovated which it desperately needed. What hotels/condos/rentals need to remember is if something in the unit is not clean then the whole unit is perceived as dirty..The unit was not vacuumed well. The surfaces were not wiped down. There were dried paint drips on the kitchen counter and on the bathroom floor. There is some kind of dried adhesive on the curb of the shower. I tried to scrub it off but it won’t budge, it looks dirty. There is pencil writing on the bathroom counter, calculations from the construction crew I think. So I’m sure the bathroom counters were not cleaned properly. The towels are very bad, thin and scratchy. We went to a local discount store and bought towels (I will donate them when we leave). Since we are going to be here for three weeks we have to clean our unit and change our own sheets. This may sound petty but we’ve paid a lot to WorldMark over the years and I’m not sure I would do it again.
Except for the construction, peacefull
ground level was musty smelling Kitchen was clean and well appointed. Pool area was clean and pool was well looked after and here were many children. Too bad the corp office couldnt make effort to renovate and donate old suite kitchens and bathrooms, some with marble counter tops and double sink kitchens, to the rebuild effort in Lahaina. Made me cry to hear it was all going to land fill.
Kihei WorldMark stay - Sept/Oct
Checked into this property over a week ago with two days before checkout. It’s been two years since our family was here, and due to the Lahaina tragedy, we were torn about our visit; but after multiple calls to the Kihei WorldMark and other guest services, we were encouraged to come to help prop up their tourism/economy. This property is undergoing renovations so there were limited units available, meaning half full. Parking is limited due to all the contractor vehicles and construction materials. We stayed in a renovated 2 bedroom in building 4 (behind the pool/gym. The new hardwood floors in the living area was much more appealing, odorless, and clean. The bedrooms still had low pile carpeting. My wife was happy with the new taller toilets (with self-closing lids) that didn’t wiggle every time you sat or got up from it. Other new items: Appliances, mattresses, furniture (living room couches much more comfortable than the old ones), all living room and bedroom lamps include USB charge ports, Air conditioners that are quiet with wall control that’s functional, modern style ceiling fans, shower enclosures and fixtures. There are new aerobic machines in the gym: 2 ellipticals, 2 stationary bikes, and 4 treadmills. Looks like the dumbbells only go to 30lbs, all heavier ones are gone. Because of the Lahaina closures and reduced visitors, there was only one food truck onsite for dinners, and even then it was sometimes there or not. It’s been a pleasant and enjoyable stay so far and after all the units are renovated, this place will be busy and full.
I am more than disappointed in WorldMark, this property is
I am more than disappointed in WorldMark, this property is in one of the most beautiful places, but it is just not taken care of. This stay for us as property owners was more then exciting because we get married in Maui, so it was special. The property was groomed and looked nice but it was very deceiving, the service very poor, they just acted like they didn't care. They only thing they wanted to do is sell you more points for poor customer service. The room we had was old and dirty. The place smelled old and musty. We had killed cockroaches in the kitchen every day, it was gross. We bought another couple with us on our stay and we're thinking about buying in as a owner, but after this stay they totally changed there minds, it was totally embarrassing, I am ashamed to say I am a owner at this point.
Worldmark Kihei vacation 2023
This is one of the best place to stay, like a home away from home! Everything you need is there, just bring food to cook! The staff are friendly and courteous. Beautiful landscape, beautiful atmosphere!
My family and I stayed her for a week for a family vacation
My family and I stayed her for a week for a family vacation and absolutely loved it. It was a block away from the beach which is very convenient. There are food trucks on the street. Plenty of parking. And the swimming pool is nice too.
I recently stayed at Worlmark Kihei, and my experience was
I recently stayed at Worlmark Kihei, and my experience was nothing short of a disappointment. While the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well, the numerous issues I encountered overshadowed any positives. Firstly, the air conditioning vents were covered in mold, which was a clear sign of neglect and lack of cleanliness. Additionally, the presence of visible urine around the back of the toilet was utterly disgusting and unacceptable. The lack of proper hygiene standards was evident. To make matters worse, I was startled awake at 4 AM by a cockroach crawling on my arm. This level of infestation is inexcusable and demonstrates a complete disregard for pest control and guest comfort. Furthermore, the elevator was a nightmare. It would sporadically malfunction, beeping incessantly with shaky doors that never seemed to close properly. This forced my 77-year-old grandmother to climb four flights of stairs, which is both unsafe and unacceptable. While the staff were kind, their kindness alone cannot make up for the multitude of issues I encountered. The lack of cleanliness, infestation, and malfunctioning amenities make it clear that Worlmark Kihei is not a place worth considering for your stay. In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Worlmark Kihei as your accommodation. The numerous problems I faced overshadowed any positive aspects, leaving me thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay.
This property definitely needs a facelift and the AC unit
This property definitely needs a facelift and the AC unit in our unit put off a musty/moldy smell. I reported it but the smell never got any better. The location is great, nice beach across the street and the best part is Gus the Bus (shaved ice) parks and on the street adjacent to the property. We enjoyed this every night!
Thus place was so dirty, mold, roaches, I don't know why
Thus place was so dirty, mold, roaches, I don't know why but I can't upload the pictures. Sad because before whyndom but out Trendwest it was beautiful. DO NOT BUY THIS TIMESHARE ITS STANDARDS ARE GROSS. MOTEL 6 IS NICER.
This is hands down the nastiest worldmark by Wyndham
This is hands down the nastiest worldmark by Wyndham location we have been to. We are owners. We actually Frequent the Kapaa location, on Kauai. This is our first time on Maui and we waited for this trip for almost a year. We landed around 6pm, so after we got the rental and ate dinner, we arrived around 8pm to check in. Once we got to our room we tried to immediately set the bed up for our daughter, only to find FRESH stains on the linens. It was repulsive. We also walked into TVS on, drawers open, etc. once we realized her sheets were soiled, we then checked the bedroom's sheets, only to see fresh stains on those as well. When we called the front desk they said they "weren't sure if we could get new sheets because housekeeping was closed" or something to that affect. Excuse me? Do You expect us to sleep on a strangers sex-stained sheets? In addition to this, it's falling apart. There is way too much furniture shoved in here, too. It's like a run down frat house. With that said, there are NO dressers for clothing, only nightstands and a tv stand with tiny drawers that wouldn't even hold a suitcase worth of clothing, let alone clothes for multiple people. As soon as we woke up, we cancelled the reservations we had for December. We absolutely will NEVER be back to this disgusting, run down, outdated, filthy, location. Not to mention that it's a sales resort - we are already owners and are constantly unhappy with what we receive - why would we buy more points? Especially when you get condescending comments from the staff. No thank you.
Was there in October of 2022.
Close proximity to the beach and other stores/amenities. The units are nice and decently maintained but perhaps could use a retouch. Nothing was horrible but nothing about them was great either. The best thing about this property is the proximity to the beach and other stores/ restaurants.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
