Yauatcha London Reviews
Our favourite Chinese food in London - but the decor now needs an update
Been going to Yauatcha for about five years. In fact it's our go to place for Chinese food which we dearly miss after being in southeast Asia for over 25 years. Not only is Yauatcha authentic in terms of the food and flavours of southeast Asia b
Soooo good!!! I will definitely go back.
Great food and interesting atmosphere. Service was good.
Memorial experience
The place is great for any occasions and I have dined in many times. Bear in mind this place is busy even we came here in this Tuesday. The food was great but there was few longtime classics dishes was not on the menu any more, 😞 sad. I remember
Stunning Dim Sum
Saw how good the recommendations were for this place and we decided to try our luck for an early and we are so glad we did. The Dim Sum was exceptional!! A must visit
Terrible customer service! Paid for food and not received
Terrible experience! Went with family (3 people) for Sunday brunch. We were quite full after starters so asked for the mains to be packed. Came home only to realise one of the mains was missing. Called the restaurant, spoke to the Manager, sent an em
Lovely authentic Chinese- just not the wow factor
Recommended by ChatGPT as the best dim sum in London, we were slightly underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious and it was freshly cooked with alot of flavours but it didn't seem any different to any good Chinese restaurants
A wonderful Sunday evening
We came on a Sunday evening to partake of the £29 Yauatcha delights menu. It is worth it. The service was impeccable. Do not believe the Americans writing here. It was attentive and yet non-obtrusive. I have a sesame sensitivity. They handled it
Special treat all you can eat!
We came as a family to celebrate a big occasion and try their all you can eat dim sum. We love dim sum, and would typically choose to eat at no frills Chinese restaurants for quality and quantity. Yauatcha did not disappoint. It does cost a lot more,
Lively Soho Cantonese
Busy Cantonese with indoor and outdoor eating areas. Indoors was full and noisy on the July Friday evening we were there, but we were in luck in securing an outdoor table. Excellent food - the crispy duck pancakes, king pao chicken and spicy okra st

This was a lovely restaurant with the most beautiful ambience. We enjoyed noodles, dim sum, duck, and spicy tofu dishes. Had a wonderful time here!!!
Born in Hong Kong so I have had lots of dim sum in my life.
While it is not traditional dim sum, the flavors are solid and tasty. My colleague and I ordered one of the set menus to try a little of everything. The steamed and baked dim sum starters were tasty and beautifully arranged. We had the spicy dumpling
Delicious dishes, friendly and attentive staff, and
Delicious dishes, friendly and attentive staff, and gorgeous desserts! We reccomend the chrispy duck in particular.
Overpriced and tries too hard.
Prefer authentic dim sum without the pretense. Service was also slow.
Excellent!!!
This spot is great for real Asian food experience! Very tasty ! The staff very polite ! I just want to think for the option of the menu to consider to have price and for only one client Expect vegan all the version was for 2 and more
Gift that continues to give
Remains one of my favourite restaurants in London! I’ve been coming here for years and have to say the experience pre pandemic wasn’t as good as it had been for a number of years but it is most definitely back on track! Food, service and environm
Not as good as previous visit
Have been many times, recently an impromptu trip with family on a Saturday lunchtime. Previously had a fantastic meal in February but this was not so good. Service was a bit hit and miss, but good natured and polite, not always been the case before.
Very Stinging cocktail quantites
Had a lovely meal but for a top class restaurant it is very mean spirited to serve the smallest cocktails I have ever seen. A couple of sips and it was gone. It can either been being very stingy or they want you to buy more
Monday work lunch 🥟
We really enjoyed our lunch here It’s a pretty chill restaurant with nice ambience Service was fine I wouldn’t say the food was amazing but ok
Very average, nothing special
I thought Yauatcha might be similar to Hakkasan but I was mistaken. Hakkasan is much better in every way. At Yauatcha Soho, we sat downstairs. We were celebrating our anniversary, but were seated between 2 loud groups. The food was brought out quick
Taste Sensation
This venue is very unassuming, blink and you might miss it or think, hmm not sure, if you miss it then you’ll only regret it! The food is exceptional and the way the food is presented is top notch. They do every right to ensure you really enjoy you
Great dining experience
We were not overwhelmed by the exterior of this highly recommended hotel but the mood changed with the arrival of the incredible , interesting and delicious food…. All beautifully presented. We had theater tickets and our timing was graciously acco
Crispy duck without the tourist trap
The atmosphere is a little weird especially if you’re seated downstairs (very dark with blue neon lights and a big aquarium), but the food is really good, service quick and professional. The crispy duck was exactly as it should be and the portions
Not your average Chinese restaurant.
We headed to China Town for a late lunch (4pm) but doubled back the way we'd come to go to Yauatcha instead. So glad we did. We were a little surprised by the above average prices but, this is an above average Chinese restaurant. The dim sum are exce
Not the same experience
Yautcha was a firm favourite up until our recent visit. We felt the restaurant has lost its charm and cool vibe. Our experience was not great, the service was extremely slow and the quality of food has dramatically gone down. In particular our favo
Great place to eat good food which always hits the mark.
Came here to grab some food with some colleagues after work. Not my first time but was my choice to go and take them. Glad I did as they really enjoyed the food. We ordered quite a few dishes and ended up sharing everything pretty much which works ve
DIRE FOOD-DIRE SERVICE-AVOID AT ALL COSTS-SEE THE HUNDREDS OF BAD REVIEWS
The food here is AWFUL AND OVERPRICED and the only thing worse than the food was the SERVICE. From Server to Manager-disinterested yet aggressive. All dishes we ordered took ages to arrive and all at different times. Couldn't eat the veg as the rice

Go!
Excellent food, we particularly enjoyed the salt and pepper lobster tail. Service was impeccable and we would most definitely return.
Best Chinese in Soho
I come back again and it's always excellent - the crispy duck is a must - excellent dim sum - I've tasted other excellent things - excellent desserts - top service -
Delicious dim sum very high prices
65 pounds for a Dim Sum supreme set menu, a fairly average dessert and jasmine tea, even if the dim sum is excellent, it's way too expensive.
Good Food, Make Sure to Get a Table Upstairs
The food was good, although nothing special. We ate here on Christmas eve and were thankful to have found someplace nice that was open. We had a reservation which was a must. We sat upstairs where the decor is modern and pleasant. There is also
Try one of the set menus for a taste explosion
Wow... what an amazing dining experience from start to finish. We ordered the spirit set menu and we were not disappointed.. amazing food! Cannot recommend highly enough. Our waiter, Mario, and waitress, Fareeda, were the nicest most helpful people!

The flavors are solid but it's definitely gentrified dim sum. You can get just as good for half the price somewhere else. The atmosphere is over the top. Desserts looked good but we didn't try them
This is an incredible restaurant.
The ambience is buzzy and fun but still feels luxe and decadent. The food is delicious and the service is top notch. I highly recommend.

Beautiful food Factory service Prices are astonishing for non orgasmic food Had to give it a lower review because would not go back or hype though it was good an beautiful to look at. A bit over steamed and Sri Italy not value.
Amazing food! Well worth visiting.
Decided to visit the Soho restaurant before a concert in the evening. Despite concerns after some recent reviews, we had an amazing lunch on a Monday afternoon. Restaurant was relatively quiet so our service was top notch (downstairs was empty an
Outstanding food, great service, what else is neede?
We really enjoyed dinner here. Managed to walk in at 5 pm, but then later it got pretty busy. Food is very high quality, we took harmony preset menu and everything was 5+! We loved dim sums especially. Just amazing and delicious. Highly recommend
A list of disappointments in spite of nice food
The tables and chairs are very low and uncomfortable, the lighting isn't great, very noisy and hard to hear people on your table. The waiting staff kept bringing an incorrect drink order to our table and spilled food on my shirt when clearing up. 3 i
Nothing special
Classic steamed dim sum basket, was nice but have had better dumplings. Waited for 20mins to catch anyone’s attention to get my bill, manager waking aimlessly around offering no assistance to the team. Yea won’t be returning or recommending.
Just a bit sad
The food is really good, but it is a bit like dining on a ghost ship. The boat looks great - but the crew have lost their souls. It isn’t a fault of the staff themselves - our waiter was nice and we could tell that in another life perhaps he smiled
So good!
Dim sum dishes were so delicious. We ordered some vegan dishes and were just happy: the taste and the colors were amazing. I wish I could order more and more dishes. Splendid indeed.
Delicious food and wonderful service
We were so pleased to return to Yauatcha Soho and find such a turnaround of wonderful food and service. We were looked after by Nikki who could not have been nicer and everything we ate was delicious.

Outstanding dim sum! Cool vibe in this restaurant with solid cocktails and mixed drinks.
Splendid
Justifiably lauded Excellent set dishes at various prices; fabulous dim sum £240 for two with glasses of wine and service for tasting menu. Upper end but well worth it.
Connect with users posting reservations for Yauatcha London
AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Yauatcha London. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.
Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Yauatcha London at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Yauatcha London page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* DistinguishedTree58, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* DistinguishedTree58 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to DistinguishedTree58 for any questions Peter may have as DistinguishedTree58 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* DistinguishedTree58 now uses their connections at Yauatcha London to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If DistinguishedTree58 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, DistinguishedTree58 receives the $200 reward which is credited to DistinguishedTree58's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Yauatcha London!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
