Alois Vanlangenaeker is extraordinary
I would like to write a detailed review but it would still be superfluous. This restaurant is a true rare gem. I had the honor and pleasure of personally meeting chef Alois Vanlangenaeker, an exquisite person but also an incredible professional. Few times in my life have I seen such scrupulous attention to detail. His cuisine is a city; difficult to explain. Before dinner, stop on the terrace and have an aperitif while admiring Positano from above. The clock stops here. Point.
Great View. Overprice Food for the quality.

Distinctly disappointing
A very disappointing experience.. First waiter we met was abrupt and unhelpful and indignant that we should want to have a dinner without cheese. And days at a time and restaurants, including two other Michelin, starred, restaurants, and everyone else was quite accommodating. The only High Point was the sommelier and the wine that we selected. The food ranged from mediocre to terrible. Chilled melon, soup, turned out to be very mediocre. Tomato soup poured over small melon, balls, and cubes of cucumber and strawberry. Pasta with lobster had very little flavor and very chewy lobster. The final two fish dishes were John dory, a flavorless piece of whitefish served on a white plate. The grilled vegetables were missing, and when I remarked upon this, they eventually arrived, hastily cooked and very, very oily. Inedible The other fish was a Seabass, which appeared as a whole fish, fully cooked and seemed reasonable. The waiter, then attacked it and presented two small mutilated pieces of fish on a plate. Beside it was a side dish of roasted potatoes. Again, an interesting, unappetizing, barely edible course. We passed on dessert were presented, though with the house small appetizer selection. Three different types of cubes of jellies. Not worth the money. Quite surprising. I have to wonder who reviews these
Fancy restaurant, Nice views
We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights, and ate here on our first night. It is fine dining with friendly waiters and good food. For the most part, it feels like a white glove kind of experience. It is very fancy with a beautiful view over the sea. The staff is very attentive and formal. Our appetizers (tuna tartare with mango and tomato water, and raw and cooked vegetables) were average, but our entrees (pasta with clams, and lemon crusted seabass with mashed potatoes) and desserts (yogurt with cherry sauce and meringue, and caramel and vanilla ice cream) were delicious. It was worth it to eat there once for sure, but the rest of our dinners there we ate down at the more casual restaurant, Il Carlino, which we thought was a little better food.
First Class
Have stayed at the hotel and eaten at Zass many times. Great food, great views and great service. Wonderful staff make this a special place to visit
Magical
I can not even put into words how magical our night was. From the second we got there one of the managers introduced himself and shook our hands. He took us to our table, which had the most incredible view. The restaurant itself is spectacular and the vibe of the whole place is insane. They had a violinist and pianist playing all night which made the whole experience that much better. The waiters knew what they were talking about (food, wine, wineries, travel) and even though they were in tuxedos and incredibly well oiled machines they could have a laugh with you and I genuinely think the waiters / service was better than the food (if that’s possible). If you can afford it, go.

Wonderful meal at zass. Highly recommend! The view the food and the service were excellent . Great opportunity to visit the hotel San pietro as well!
Incredible place
When I read the reviews on this hotel, there was a lot about the food, but I didn't realize until I went that the location and ambience are out of this world. It's at the San Pietro Hotel, which is one of the very best on the Amalfi Coast, and is on its own cliff separate from Positano. Just exploring the hotel grounds was breathtaking. The cocktail terrace was amazing. Advice for you-- arrive by water taxi instead of by ground and you will impress the hell out of your wife.
Michelin Star⭐️Perfection
Well deserved Michelin Star Restaurant ZASS everything we had was mouth watering delicious from the carpaccio that was a work of art to the monk fish which was lightly battered and accompanied by a delicate emulsion and mash potato. The cacio e pepe with the crudo shrimps was the best one I had in Italy. Service was exceptional and left me speechless. A special occasion restaurant when only the best matters ❤️🙏❤️

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
