Sat at a high top at the bar and that was a great spot to people watch. The crew was motley, to say the least. The music was fairly good. But the dining experience left a lot to be desired. Our server was wonderful, upon ordering a bottle of Veuve and a round of drinks she recognized that we were there for a while and asked if we wanted to hold off on "firing" our Premium Omakase until after our first drink so as to have an enjoyable and slowly progressive meal (as Omakase is intended to be). Well, that's where that sentiment ended because the minute she put the ticket through ***baa bam*** there were three courses on our very small high top table. The worst part is they're not traditional nor even close to what one would expect of Michelin-rated Omakase, thus the plating was rather large and obtrusive. When the food runner went to drop the third dish in 30 seconds, I felt pretty badly telling her she wasn't dropping that at our table because we wanted to be able to enjoy our meal and they had to slow down. Well, that dish came out about 3 more times while we were still enjoying the first two, and each time we sent it back. Think they'd get the hint? Think again. Once we finished with that ever-looming third course ***baa bam*** here come two more. Overall the food was fine, but it wasn't what I would call Omakase, and I think I'd only visit this restaurant again for a drink and an appetizer.
