The restaurant had a cool atmosphere once we were finally seated. We made a reservation and they basically didn't honor it because they were taking walk-ins. So, I would do a better job with the hostess who are seating customers. The dining experience was good. The server was helping in explaining what to order and how much to order and how this Korean dining experience worked. The food was very very expensive. We were a party of 3 and we paid over $200 including tip and didn't have any drinks or dessert. So, if you are on a budget this is most definitely not where you want to go. If you want to splurge and try a different dining experience it's worth a try.

If you haven't, you pay premium prices for a premium KBBQ experience. What's not to love? (Aside from the bill, of course) The sides are plentiful and delicious and the refills keep coming. Any meat you pick will be a good choice, cooked in front of you to perfection. The marbling and presentation are always great. That's the brand you pay for. I did want to give a special mention to the galbi-jjim, which was fairly large (almost Daeho size!) and came with plenty of meat and these absolutely gigantic rice cakes that my group could not get enough of. A great experience all around.

OOOOOH MAN I don't drive far for most things but 10 butchers definitely makes the cut. I've been here several times for special occasions or just catching up with friends working in SV. I've been here with smaller and larger parties and the service is always top notch each time. Everyone is super nice and we've never had to wait on anything. As you've probably already seen, the meat quality is exceptional and for that reason they cook it for you-I wouldn't trust myself to do it otherwise. I've tried a few of their cooked foods such asvthe japchae and while it was good, I wouldn't get it again, because I'm here for the meats! We've paired wine here before but I'm not well versed enough to speak on that but they did let one of us try it before they poured us the bottle. Obviously all these things do set this at a much higher price point than Id normally spend on a meal but I personally feel it's so worth it and I find myself coming back here every few months!

Walking into 10 Butchers felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure in the world of Korean dining. The atmosphere was upscale yet inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be an incredible culinary journey. Let's dive straight into the star of the show: the meat. It was nothing short of amazing - tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a testament to the skill and expertise of the butchers behind the scenes. Seriously, it was like a symphony of flavors dancing on my taste buds. But it wasn't just the meat that impressed me. The service was top-notch, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do - a rare find these days. And let's not forget about the banchan - those delicious little side dishes that kept coming and coming. From spicy kimchi to savory pickled veggies, each one was a delightful addition to the meal and kept us coming back for more. Now, I'll be real with you - 10 Butchers isn't the cheapest spot in town. But trust me when I say it's worth every penny. The quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience make it a true standout in the world of Korean dining. I think if you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further than 10 Butchers. With its amazing meat, top-notch service, and unlimited banchan, it's a culinary gem that's not to be missed.
Be the first to ReplySuper disappointing.
1 star: The Wagyu Rib Fingers (#5) were so stringy and tough. I had to spit out the meat after chewing because it was too tough to chew. 5 stars: The pork jowls were very good. Tender and crispy.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a great time at 10 butchers.
I've been here 5 or 6 times now, and each time it doesn't disappoint. Honestly can't go wrong with their meat selection, we ordered the short rib, beef tongue, and pork belly, and they were all realllly good. Paired with the side dishes, each bite was chef's kiss. We also ordered the jap chae, which had eggplants and lettuce that I've personally not normally seen in jap chae dishes (a nice surprise). My favorite aspect of 10 butchers aside from the quality of the food is the modern ambiance + side dishes (honestly probably one of my fav selections of side dishes amongst south bay Korean restaurants). Note that barley tea used to be given out at the start, but we had to specifically ask for it this time (no extra charge). Service as usual was attentive and prompt, no complaints and will always look forward to coming back!

The process to make a reservation is terrible and my online reservation was cancelled. The reservation time slots listed on their website are not even accurate. Certain time slots are blocked (likely due to a booked reservation), but the available time slots are not actually available. Why would a business provide an open time slot for reservations on their website if it is not even available in the first place? Why go through the trouble of only blocking off certain booked reservations, but not all of them?

Their level of consistency is unmatched, yes it's a little pricy but you always know what you'll be paying for and the quality of meat/service is the same each and every single time. Never fails to disappoint. I like consistency very much. This place provides you with that warm satisfying sensation after a good meal, and you don't crave anything else afterwards for the rest of the day. Please order soybean soup. The meat is of the highest quality, and does tend to get very rich. The soup helps a lot and you'll be able to enjoy everything you order to its fullest!

Good environment. A little bit pricey but the money is on par with the experience

if you're looking for a high class Korean bbq place where you wont come out smelling like youre the head chef of a bbq restaurant you def want to come here. Their meat selection is top tier and its not all you can eat so you know the quality is way better. they have vents between the grill to suck out the smoke so you never have to worry about smelling after dinner. And there is always a cook that cooks and serves you which is awesome!! I highly recommend this place and ordering the US wagyu, Short Rib fingers, and Beef tongue.
Be the first to ReplyI've had my eye on this restaurant for a while.
It is quite expensive though, so I wanted to save it for a special occasion. For my birthday, we made a reservation for 6 people on a Friday night.EXPERIENCEWe arrived on time, we waited for about 5 minutes and were sat down. We weren't sure how much to order, so we originally ordered everything minus the pancake, but the server said that we should add more, so we added the pancake. I feel that this was unnecessary. There are a lot of side dishes and salads that were filling, so we ended up with too much food. I feel like after this realization that our bill wasn't going to be super high, he seemed very cold to us. We had a hard time getting his attention getting more water, or boxes, etc. When he grilled our food, it was very awkward, and he didn't seem very enthusiastic or attentive to us. Like he did a good job at grilling the meats, but it was an uncomfortable experience. Also, my friends asked if there was anything special they could do since it was my birthday, they said that the free ice cream would be brought on a special platter, and this was not executed. We just got the ice cream the regular way, I didn't really care, but they made empty promises which was disappointing.FOODBBQ Meats:(5/5) Marinated Bone in Short Rib - this is so delicious! I wanted more. The meat was tender and soft, and the marinade isn't too sweet, savory and scrumptious. This was my favorite, and I highly recommend it.(4/5) US Wagyu Beef Tongue - this was good, but nothing mind blowing. I think I've had better tongue else places. I normally love tongue, so that's my personal bias. Still delicious, but I think probably skippable. (4/5) US Wagyu Brisket - this surprised me. It was well grilled, and the savory flavor was delicious. (4.5/5) Cheese Spicy Galbi Jjim (Beef short rib with special spicy sauce, vegetables, cheese) - this was great. I really enjoyed the meat and the veggies. The rice cakes, they were thick, extremely soft, maybe a little over cooked. But the portion was huge!(5/5) Nakji Pajeon (Green onion pancake with octopus) - I love this. We almost didn't order it, but I am glad that we did, even if it lead to too much food. It was crispy, warm, and large. Amazing seafood pancake. (2/5) Mul Naengmyun (Thin cold noodles in cold broth) - I think this might be a cultural difference. I think I am just not used to this dish. It was sort of citrusy but not in the normal way. I don't know how to explain it. I would not rely on my assessment of this dish. I didn't love it, it was a nice experience to try. OVERVIEWI overall enjoyed the food. Lots of bonchon and salads! Also free ice cream and macarons. The service was fine, definitely didn't feel like I was being catered to, but they did grill the meat for us so that was nice. Our server was a bit cold, but did the job. He did encourage us to over order, but we got a really delicious pancake out of it, so it worked out. They didn't do anything special for occasions even though they said they would, I guess that's minor. Obviously this place is on the pricier end. I think that its good for splurging on delicious food, just don't expect fine dinning service. I would overall recommend people who enjoy meat to try this place at least once.
Be the first to ReplyFancy Korean bbq in Sunnyvale.
I'm very particular about korean bbq's because I have Food is 4 stars, ambiance 5 stars, value 3 stars, service 5 stars. So averages out to 4 overall. One thing to note, this is one of very few korean bbq places where they have a full bar which is nice. It was nice that we were able to enjoy some cocktails while waiting for the food. I would go again if I have to treat someone or have visitors but not an everyday casual k-bbq.

An hour and a half reservation but the wait was definitely worth it that it put both of us in food coma! the best wagyu/steak kbbq we've ever had not only that but the service made good impression as well, way beyond our expectations. Oh and the server cooks for you too! MUST TRY!!

This restaurant is unique and has delicious Korean BBQ food. It was a fun and tasty experience. I had Beef Tartare, Boneless Short Rib and Wagyu Beef Salad. It was all so good. This restaurant is great for groups.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at 10 Butchers Korean BBQ with a group of seven people. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional.First, I must commend the restaurant's service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Our waitresses were also very knowledgeable about the menu, providing recommendations and answering all of our questions. Now, onto the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Galbi (marinated beef short ribs), Samgyupsal (pork belly), and Bulgogi (marinated beef). All of the meats were of the highest quality and cooked to perfection. The marinades were flavorful without overpowering the natural taste of the meat, and the accompanying side dishes were equally delicious. One dish that stood out to me in particular was the Japchae (stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables). The noodles were perfectly cooked and had a great texture, and the combination of vegetables added a nice crunch and freshness to the dish.Overall, I highly recommend 10 Butchers Korean BBQ to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The service was exceptional, and the food was even better. I would suggest making reservations in advance as the restaurant tends to get busy. I give this restaurant a 10/10 rating for its outstanding food and service. RatingService: 5Food: 4.5Price: 4. It's high prices but the quality of the food good.Ambiance: 4Overall: 4.8Definitely coming back for special events.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely overrated and overpriced.
Starting from receptionists, there are a bunch of them but all work like robots. They didn't seat us even our table was available with everyone at the party waiting just because our reservation time is 'not up'. They lectured us with bad attitude about that like it's our fault to come 15 minutes early (Owner: don't you want to turn the table faster?) With that, they didn't seat us even the time has passed until we reminded them several times. One receptionist continued to justified her action with bad attitude saying our reservation time had only passed for a bit. My advice: use a self check-in system with no flexibility, so you can save a lot of overhead at the reception unless you need to keep them for maintaining another 'line' for a special group of customers who pay them cash directly to get in. Our table wasn't big enough for the family style food with all the small dishes, with that we appreciated the servers splitting all our non-BBQ dishes for each of us on top of preparing the BBQ dishes. However, all the food came out so quickly, at a point we got a bunch of dishes on the table and we felt so rushed to finish our food without enjoying it. There were times the server were also rushing to take away our dishes there even took away unfinished food which we were working on right in front of us. We ultimately need to request our server to stop cooking to leave us some time and space to eat. The one star I left is for their excellent ventilation systems for not leaving spell on our cloths after all the chaos with an expensive bill.

Be the first to ReplyThe beef was tasty as was the pork belly.
We had a fun time as this restaurant brings a exciting experience for kids and adults too.The service had great timing with fantastic efficiency.
Be the first to ReplyThis is definitely a higher end spot for Korean bbq.
Our reservation was at 6 pm, but we were seated late. The staff did explain to us that the group they were waiting on for our table was taking longer than expected. Once we got seated they served us a free seafood pancake on the house for our wait. My father in law ordered a drink, which they ended forgetting about because they were really busy (it seems to be a busy restaurant in general). We ordered jap chae, spicy tofu soup with wagyu, and a variety of meats. EVERYTHING was delicious, even all of the side dishes (my favorites were this sweet squash with fruit, mushroom with egg, and fried shrimp). I thought it was interesting that they also give you kim chee water as a palate cleanser. They also gave us free soft serve with a French macaron at the end of our dinner. The thing I had mixed feelings about was that the staff cooks the meats for you and serves all the dishes. In general I think it's a nice service but in this case I think it's to keep things moving since they are so busy. I also prefer not to have a stranger at my table the whole time, and have a preference of which meats I cook and eat first and how much. They also served and portioned our other non-grilled dishes, but the timing of it made me feel rushed to eat. Since I was sitting at the edge where the staff was cooking, I felt like she kept moving around the dishes in front of me since there wasn't much room to fit everything on the table, which was a bit annoying especially since she kept doing it while I was still eating. Plus I have a preference on the layout of my meat, salt, and drinks. But anyway, the staff is really nice and I'm sure they mean no harm and just trying to provide good service. At the end we ended up giving them a generous tip and as we were leaving the staff came up to us to let us know that the tip was already included and we can go back inside to adjust the tip if we wanted. We didn't end up changing it, but that was a surprise that they mentioned it.

I wish I could give a zillion stars for how much our 18-month old loved the food and the whole vibe of this place. Our 18-month old typically hates eating, but dare I say he ate as much as the grown-ups did at this restaurant? Tender, melt-in-your-mouth cuts of beef, and world-class service - a server will grill all your meat for you at your table, with a sense of humor and a smile to boot (our server was so sweet to our baby, too!). All the awkwardness of grill-at-your-table KBBQ is nonexistent here (at other places, I feel like someone at the table ends up being responsible for all the grilling and there's a constant gnawing feeling of - did that person get enough? Are we distributing the meat fast enough? Did the person over there want a cut of meat that they didn't get???) Not to mention how amazing their side dishes and appetizers are - I could have eaten their wagyu galbi-filled dumplings all day. And their cold noodles are a refreshing way to cap off a heavy meal of grilled meats.Awesome place for adults and for babies!

Super crowded but definitely worth it! We came around 5:30pm on a wednesday and were surprised to find so many people there. We ordered three different meats from their menu, as well as their jabchae and pancake appetizers. All were so yummy even though it was very very pricey haha. The servers were great and attentive, they cook the meat right in front of you. Great service overall despite being so busy!

Hands down the best Korean BBQ in the Bay Area! I just hope that with all this popularity the service or the food quality don't go down. They have a variety of such delicious banchan. Meat is good quality and all the a la carte soup and meat dishes I've tried are all above average for the standards of Korean restaurants in the US. The complimentary dessert with froyo and macaron is also a nice touch at the end. Note to restaurant: please do not get jaded and stay as you are for as long as you can!
