Yes 3 stars. Had the Chefs tasting menu. The food was amazing but their 3 item that took off stars. #1 - We felt rushed thru the beginning of the menu. Eating one with another brought out and set on the table for us. #2 - On our menu was a dish with Oishii shrimp in which the shrimp was clearly undercooked (lighting was dim so had already eaten a piece before realizing). Pointed it out to our server (Michael) who took it back to the kitchen. Came back to tell us that Oishii shrimp is Japanese shrimp and that the he was told by the chef it should only be cooked for 15 seconds. (A). Oishii shirmp shrimp is not necessarily “Japanese” shrimp. Only the word “Oishii” is. Oishii shrimp is farm raised, sustainable shrimp. (B) Cooking shrimp for 15 seconds is never acceptable even in Japan. (C) If it, as the chef stated, cooked perfectly why didn’t the server bring our food back. Just because you put a disclaimer on the menu does not mean you should undercook the food (as I sit in my bathroom at 430am writing this). #3 - The final dish of Washugyu Hanger Streak was a total disappointment given how amazing most of the food was. Very bland. On the PLUS side - Our server was attentive, made great wine recommendations, and kept the place moving since it seemed like he was the only “waiter” on the floor. I wont personally be returning to Edo Tapas (Anima yes) but thats just me.
