I will go back there…
We went there for Mother's Day… magnificent setting with a very beautiful terrace… welcoming and smiling staff. The 2-course menu serving perch fillets was very good and the extensive wine list satisfied us. Perfect quality/price ratio. The only downside for the waiters: be careful about the cleanliness of your work clothes. Indeed, perfect white shirts but black pants and shoes that are not perfect for everyone. Appearance is also part of an establishment’s business card. I would have given this feedback by email but I could not find an email address.
Short coffee break
I stopped at the old ship for a coffee I have no regrets, wonderful welcome, I thank Hugo and Liam for this good time
Disappointing
The kind of place you often find in Switzerland. Who live on a reputation, no longer take the trouble for their customers, you have to beg to be deigned to give you a table, minimum service maximum price. Their “famous” perch fillets, sold at the price of gold, cooked on the wrong side or fried in oil? Curled up on themselves, taste of fat, thrown on a plate with industrial fries, no freshness, faded salad. Crêpes suzette, sugar bomb, without refinement, 47 francs for two tiny crepes! However, people are happy to be served this, so go ahead, make up your own mind, the only thing that is certain is the slimming cure for your wallet.
Disappointing and overpriced.
Long-time customers, we dined on the terrace. The perch fillets were not as good as before, the service was expeditious, the fries ordinary. Quality is inversely proportional to price. The height of it all, the Suzette crepes, sold for more than 50 CHF for two small plates garnished with two small crepes. We make fun of the world. Will we come back? Certainly not.
Disappointed
We have periodically eaten here over the past 15 years and always enjoyed the experience. However this time we were disappointed and felt that the quality of the cooking had slipped. We ate filet de perch & lobster as mains, It is also worth noting that the menu has hardly changed
Excellent meal
Step taken last year and we're doing it again. Homemade perch fillets with tartar sauce, excellent. Crepes suzette . Expensive but excellent. Lovely and efficient service We recommend
The quality is no longer there
We can no longer count the number of times we have come. What will happen ? Very, very disappointed. Dry house perch fillets, with a sort of breading, tasteless (no salt in my opinion) and frozen fries for the modest sum of 48 francs. They explained to us that they were made meunière style and well they looked like they had been fried. New staff with approximate service. The restaurant was half full. They created their reputation on perch fillets so for the moment you will find much better ones in many local restaurants, and at a lower price. This restaurant that we have always loved must question itself.
Increasing prices, decreasing quality and quantity
After years of loyalty to this restaurant to taste their perch fillets, I was recently disappointed by the experience. The fillets this time were excessively dry and overly grilled, which was a far cry from what I was used to enjoying. In addition, the small homemade matchstick fries are no longer relevant, replaced by what appear to be frozen fries. Overall, quality and quantity have declined, while prices have increased. Will I go back?
Very good, but...
We chose the perch fillets in 1 course with the salad as a starter. What a disappointment when it arrived, completely slumped, probably brewed with its sauce for a long time. This is not worthy of a restaurant of this category! On the other hand, the perch fillets accompanied by fries were excellent and the service very professional.
Restaurant going down .. too bad
This restaurant was for me one of the best places to eat perch. But that was before... the last 3 meals at their place were disappointing. The portions are becoming ridiculous (I'm not just talking about meat or fish), we're rationing bread, the toppings are small, the scoop of ice cream is tiny, in short my teenagers were hungry when they left the table. At the price of the restaurant it's a bit incredible. Also surprising is the salad, once so good and crunchy, which is bathed in the sauce and is finally cooked when it arrives on the table. Frankly, I'm not so sure I'll go back there anymore.
